History

Established in 2001.

In his second year in real estate, Mario achieved Top Producer status within his office and the Prudential Real Estate network. He currently maintains the President’s Circle designation within the company. The President’s Circle sales designation puts Mario in the Top 3% of the 58,000 Prudential real estate agents nationwide. As of 2011, Mario has sold over $ 60 million of residential real estate.

Mario was certified in 2004 as a Corporate Relocation Specialist. He has worked to assist and facilitate executive job transferees and their families in the sale and purchase of real estate in the Los Angeles area. Mario has managed the employee job transfers for several Fortune 500 companies including Amgen, Budweiser, Nestle, Pfizer, Chevron and NBC Universal.

Mario focuses on the marketing and sale of properties in Sherman Oaks, Studio City, Toluca Lake, Encino, Valley Village, Hollywood Hills, Van Nuys, Burbank, Woodland Hills, Tarzana and North Hollywood.

My wife and I found ourselves in need of a Realtor that could help us sell our home in Sherman Oaks and move into something larger in the immediate area which better suited our growing family. I can honestly say that my wife and I couldn’t have been happier with our decision. From his cool, professional demeanor, to his experience on how to properly market and prepare our home for top dollar, Mario’s expertise was impeccable. To give you some backstory, I myself was in Real Estate over a decade ago, so I know what I’m talking about when I say «the guy is good… and I mean, REALLY good». Not once did we ever question our decision to work with Mario. He set our expectations every step of the way, and was keen in helping us negotiate strategically and effectively, all the while staying calm and professional. I defy anyone to find a better Realtor, better negotiator, better all-​around good guy. He helped us sell our house and find our dream home, and although we plan to stay in our new house (thanks Mario) for a long time, if/​when the time comes to sell, you can bet that we’ll be reaching-​out to Mario again!

Working with a realtor can be a painful experience. That’s not the case with Mario at all. Working with Mario has been a wonderful and pleasurable experience. He helped us sell our house which, was not an easy sell, in many ways. Through thick and thin Mario was with us every step of the way. He kept it real and he kept it thoroughly honest. As first time sellers we had umpteen questions and he answered all with patience. Added to all this is his experience and a savvy for all things real estate. Mario served as our agent during our home purchase last year. My wife and I had very specific criteria during our home search (sometimes the criteria probably seemed a little unrealistic, frankly). All the while, however, Mario remained committed to our search under our parameters and did not pressure us to settle for a slightly different set of factors. Despite the fact that we made unsuccessful offers on nearly 10 homes during a very heated housing market, Mario remained positive and kept us focused on the next house rather than dwelling on the ones that got away. As trite as it sounds, each house seemed to give Mario greater motivation to find us the perfect home. Ultimately, the house we found was the best of the bunch and Mario’s tenacity was a big part of our successful offer.
I really appreciated that Mario was the first to tell us when a house was not quite right for us, and would discourage us from getting into bidding wars on homes that had limited upside. We couldn’t be happier with the home we finally closed on.
Mario is a serious professional. I would recommend Mario to anyone buying or selling a home in the San Fernanda Valley. He knows the market very well and has extensive relationships with other agents in this area.

Mario was referred to me by a relative and he represented that he had a buyer for the house that was not listed. I already had in mind another realtor for the listing. After some initial disagreement about the term of a one-​party compensation contract, we proceeded on or about Feb 23, 2014 and closed Mar 27, 2014. Mario knew what was needed for the loan appraisal, items that needed to be fixed/​retrofitted and was very helpful in the closing days of getting things done and cleaned-​up.
The seller was my 94 yr old father and we were able to work around that and get everything done timely. Never had any problems with communication or response. I would recommend and use Mario again.

I highly recommend Mario Acosta. Professional and an all around nice guy as well. Right from the start he guided me step by step through the process of selling my house, giving me great advice on what I should and shouldn’t do to get the maximum results. When the house was ready, he priced it perfectly, creating an overwhelming response: over 50 people attended the open house! His strategy garnered 18 solid offers from which I was able to choose a primary and multiple secondary offers, all way over the list price. In the end the house sold for $ 41,000 over list and we closed on the sale in a little over two weeks from the date the house was listed. It was a wonderful and profitable experience!

Mario came highly recommended to us by several of our friends. As a first time home buyer it was important to have someone as patient and knowledgeable as Mario to guide us through the process. Mario works hard for his clients and is very personable and pleasant to be around.
Many agents have this salesman air about them and seem to be only looking out for them selves. Mario is not like that at all, he is genuine and seems like a normal guy. A normal guy who knows his stuff. Not only is he knowledgeable about the market, the neighborhoods and the negotiating but home improvement issues as well. It was always helpful to have him give estimates on how much it would cost to fix things or do upgrades on the many houses we looked at.
House shopping is a lot of work and it is so helpful to have someone as great as Mario to help carry the load. He always goes the extra mile just when you least expect it. I would definitely recommend him and work with him again.
