This is the BEST martial arts after school activity you can ever give your child. I have twin boys ages 10 who have been at KMA for over 2 years, and they absolutely love it. The energy is amazing and infectious, the instructors are inspiring jand dedicated, the space is airy, clean and bright, and the philosophy of the school is one that teaches respect, self discipline, and self confidence. The time commitment is twice a week for us, and this seems to be just right. We’ve been thrilled to watch our kids grow in so many ways by being a part of this community.

Started bringing my 4 year old girly here– she loves it and has learned so much in her short month here.
She has more control over her body, shows more respect to me and her peers and teachers, is learning discipline and coordination.
The teachers we’ve had have all been friendly, made class fun and she always wants to come back to class. (Which is a big deal for a 4 year old!) staff has all been so helpful and welcoming and I know she feels welcome and looks forward to class two times a week. These teachers are on top of things and don’t allow crazy classrooms– which is amazing!
The place is spotless and open and cool and just always so clean.
I’m telling you– it’s so worth the money, because the lessons they learn in class are life lessons and will make your home life better and will help your child succeed in more than just karate.

I can’t believe KMA only has 1 review. This place is life changing. My son has been going there for 2+ years and he loves it. Their approach is so unique and special. They pay attention to both physical AND emotional development of every child. Every class has an inspirational message and lesson that even I am affected by.

My younger son has been taking classes at KMA for about a year and 4 months. This is his 3^rd experience with martial arts and I have to say, it is head an shoulders above the rest. We are so impressed with this dojeng, I started taking classes a little over a year ago and my husband and older son just started a couple of months ago as well. Now it is truly «a family affair». The thing that sets KMA apart is the attention to the total person. Master Turnhout is a very inspiring speaker and she trains each instructor to incorporate «huddles» into every class. These have a weekly theme that address character issues that help students generalize what they learn in class into life lessons. Not only does KMA have a system that works, but they foster a uniquely positive environment. I have watched children with attention issues improve right before my eyes. They also welcome kids with special needs. Both owners have a background in Child Psychology and it shows in the attention to citizenship skills. This is not to say that they don’t train amazing martial artists– they do! My younger son is on their demo team and if you ever get to see them perform, it will leave no doubt in your mind how awesome they are. But KMA is about more than training fighters… and it shows in their clientele. By their attention to personal development, Ma’am Laura and Master Turnhout have attracted the nicest, most familial group of people I have had the pleasure of encountering in my life. It is truly a pleasure to go to class and take my kids to class every time; I genuinely look forward to it. I feel blessed and privileged to have landed at KMA. I don’t know how to find the words to recommend it highly enough. You can find another place to put your kid in classes but you will not find a place that will train a better total human being. Try KMA, it will change your life!
