I’ve only been here once but Kendall did an amazing job. I wanted a very subtle look and she ensured that we were on the same page throughout the entire process. She brought out swatches, discussed length, texture, movement, and kept my curls in mind. The entire salon staff was very friendly too! I was offered water, coffee, magazines, etc. and everyone had a smile. I’ve been to other salons on Ventura and efoxx is definitely the best.

Nikki did a great job with my hair. The highlights look totally natural and the cut is perfect. I got tons of compliments about the cut and color. Today I took my daughter to Nikki for a trim and a style for her winter formal. It looks great!

Came to the salon for the first time with a bit of a challenge — long, unruly brown hair and looking for lighter (almost blonde) balayage. Nikki killed it! I love how light she was able to get my hair the first treatment. Definitely coming back to go even lighter. Never thought this lifelong brunette would become blonde but Nikki is that good and trustworthy enough for me to do it!

Came here a couple of days ago and saw Elise after carefully looking through a LOT of salon’s before and after pictures. My friend usually does my highlights really meticulously and makes it look very natural, so I’m picky. However, I just moved to the Valley from Valencia and wanted to try out a local spot. Elise’s pictures were impressive, so I emailed her. It was crazy making an appointment though, I had to make it a month in advance… INSANE! But that sort of made me think, wow she must be great if she’s fully booked.
I don’t really like that they hold your credit card on file. I’ve had many many many cases of fraud this year, having to get debit card after debit card replace from my bank. I wanted to refuse but whatever, I gave it to them.
Here comes the day of my hair and I was so stoked! Finally getting icy blonde rather than the orange blonde I feel like I’ve had. Elise went over what I wanted and said to be prepared, its going to take a long time. A long time it did…4 hours!
She really knew what I wanted. She was very meticulous in her process, which I liked. I hate seeing those chunky blonde highlights… ugly. She colored my hair, refilled a bowl, colored my hair, refilled her bowl. Then she toned it & then used Olaplaex. All this she let me know she was doing. When she dried my hair I LOVED the color. Exactly what I wanted. I didn’t take pictures, but she did, so i’m sure they’ll be uploaded sometime. But it was super gorgeous.
My onlyyyyy complaint, and to me it’s a huge complaint. It was extremely pricey. 255 $ not including the tip. I know you have to dish out $$ for a good service, but I was charged an extra 70 $ for something I didn’t know I was going to be charged for — refills of the color bowls. I understand this 100%. However, 2 things. 35 $ a bowl is STEEP. Unless it’s a rare color from Africa… I think 10 $ a bowl is reasonable. Also, I didn’t know until my hair was done. I usually get a half weave, and this time it was full. If I had known from the get-​go how steep it would be, I would have probably either asked for half… or been grateful I was told and I wouldn’t have walked out thinking to myself «Was that really worth it?». Which i’m still thinking… I love my color and I think Elise is a master hair colorist… but would I pay that again? Not sure.
If you’re willing to dish out $$ and you want the best colorist that I know of in Sherman Oaks, I’d definitely 100% recommend Elise.

I have very curly, usually medium length or longer hair. It’s historically been not the easiest for stylists to work on, and plenty of good stylists have taken an hour or two on it. And considering that men’s haircut is listed at $ 35-​$ 60 depending, I was mentally ready to spend $ 60 plus gratuity.
Nikki was super quick (I was out of there in under a half hour,) polite, and did a wonderful job. That’s especially appreciated considering I didn’t even have a crystal clear idea of what I wanted. Not only that, but I got charged $ 35 instead of $ 60. Nikki is a great member of the team and I’ll be happy to have her work on my hair in the future.

I am a long-​time client of EFOXX, and have previously raved about the salon on Unilocal.In the last year or two, I have started booking with Elise for all of my hair services, and decided I need to update my review.
Someone has already posted on Unilocal that Elise is a goddess. All I can say is truer words have never been spoken. Elise is not only incredibly talented, but she will fit you in if you need immediate service, and above all, is sooooo fun to hang out with! My best friend and I like to book our appointments together so we can all visit. Seriously, Elise is the best.

Dear efoxx Hair,
Thank you for existing! I had an amazing experience and my fear of going to a salon has disappeared. The customer service was great, personable, and warm. Elise is an ALL STAR stylist! After going over details of my daily routine (wash, dry, products I use), I was asked what am I looking for? Being speechless for a moment, I went with my gut and let Elise take the reins. With much excitement, she took them and gave me her thoughts. My face lit up with happiness and couldn’t wait to see the finish look.
I do worry what a stylist thinks when I sit in the chair with my thick, coarse, unhealthy hair. Elise was calm, confident and talked with me through every step. Not only did she keep the conversation going but she educated me along the way. What I can change in my routine; how to dry my hair properly, styling products I should use (hair damage repair, heat/​style protectant, ect.), overall maintenance of my hair.
Almost 4 weeks later, I am still in love with my hair. Even after my trip to Mexico and sitting in the sun all day! My confidence is up, my sass is spot on, and I can’t stop running my fingers through my hair (it’s so soft)! Thanks for all you did and cannot wait to come back!

Nikki is awesome! Renewed my peekAboo highlights and added strawberry blonde toner to even them all out — worked out beautifully! She’s so sweet and really listens to what you want. It was my first visit @ efoxx but I’m sure I’ll be back.

Love efoxx hair salon! Booked my appointment yesterday and they asked me to come in for a free consultation the same day. They were also able to book me for the next day due to a cancellation so lucky me! I showed Kendall a picture of what I wanted and the end results look way better than the picture I showed her! I highly recommend efoxx and will definitely be coming back! :)

It took me for ever to find a place with great stylists, Greg was my stylist for a new look and I’m very happy the way it turned out.

Ok so I went to this place for a hair cut
And I’m really disappointed !! First of all she didn’t dry my hair after it was done and dos dry cut to make sure all lengths are even!!! Second of all when I tried to resolve they didn’t recommend to fix!!! You know what do not go to this place .! Who cuts the hair without drying it ?! So unprofessional !!! Very disappointed !!! You should always dry and dry cut afterward to make sure it’s even!!! Now I have uneven length and the way I was treated I don’t want to return to have them fix this!!!

I came here based on the awesome reviews but I had a different outcome. I initially called to make a consultation since my hair is very long and thick and I know that typically it requires time and $ so I was given a time frame and a quote and I scheduled an appointment about 1 week or 2 later.
My consultation was great. I’m asian, so my hair is not easy to work with… especially when it comes to bleaching, it turns orange. I was assured it would not turn orange and that the blonde on my hair at the time would be brought higher up. I asked for a quote that would require cut, potentially a base color, and highlight. My hair dresser suggested I simply tone my hair instead of doing a base color so save money. Personally, I didn’t care about that because I’d rather have it done correctly than to save a little bit of cash just to have to fix it a few weeks later. Unfortunately, she insisted that a toner would suffice and considering she is the expert, I went along with it.
When it was time for my appointment, I showed up timely and I will have to say the customer service was great. Her personality was great, she was friendly, super cool, we had great conversations, and told me time and time again that she wanted to make sure I was happy with the results and even if I didn’t like them a few days later… that I should come back and she would make it right. I very much appreciated this notion and felt I was in good hands. Anyway, she bleached the bottom of my hair to make it very light and then the majority of it she toned. She did say this toner is temporary and will last 8 weeks so I said okay I’ll give it a shot. The first time around, my hair looked… orange. So I mentioned that to her that I was uncomfortable with this shade so she toned it again and it was definitely more icy, less orange… and also a little bit green. Not «green» like the jungle, more like had a green hue to it (later I saw the toner was actually green). Which was super weird. I thought it was just my eye and that I needed a few days to adjust. Plus, if I come back next week, I knew she’d be okay with fixing it. I also thought it was weird that my balayage was pretty much GONE and that it was all just this toned strange icy color.
Well, I go to pay and it is $ 50 more than her maximum quote. It also took 2 hours longer than her max time frame. The time thing… would have been fine, except it didn’t turn out anything near the pictures I showed. But given the fact that I thought I needed time to adjust, and she did take extra time… I didn’t mention anything and paid the extra money and 20% for the tip.
A week later, my toner is 75% gone… not to mention, I only wash my hair 2 – 3 times per week. Two weeks later, it was COMPLETELY gone and my hair was not «sun in orange», but definitely too orange for to have paid $ 350 two weeks prior. I know I could have gone back and she would have been happy to fix it, I’m sure of it… but the problem is… her suggestion shows me she is not experienced with asian hair and I don’t want to go back somewhere that would take MY TIME to fix an error due to lack of experience.
Since then, I have switched to a salon that does charge 40% more, however, I got AMAZING results on the first try in the exact time slot quoted and doesn’t require multiple visits to get what I paid for.
The people here are great, there’s no doubt about that. And I do understand how Unilocal can impact a small business, I really do… but it’s just not right that what I paid, my time that I sat there, and my results… or lack thereof.

Greg was fantastic. I went from a washed-​out red color that had faded quickly from my original blonde, and I went to a vibrant magenta that faded to a slightly lighter pink at the ends. It’s been a week or two and the color is staying nicely, and the ends look even better now with just a slight fade. I am SO FREAKING happy to find a hair place close by that does amazing, creative cuts and colors – I thought moving to the valley would be a hopeless cause, and turns out, I think I may have found my new favorite. Woot.

I have been here three times and never leave disappointed. I go to Kendall and every time she is completely straight forward and honest about ideas and expectations. She is incredibly good at what she does and I will not be going anywhere else. Everyone else there seems great at well. The place is always super clean and the vibe is chill. I never feel pressure to do extra stuff or buy a bunch of Product. They also keep me well caffeinated which is key for long hair appointments!

efoxx is wonderful.
After a handful of years of cutting my own hair, I wanted to find a great place that would give it a good cut and add some color. efoxx was one of the first few businesses that appeared in my search, but with my continued search, no one’s pictures of their work looked as good as theirs.
Eric helped answer my questions on this site and let me know he would like to be the one to cut my hair, and I set to it. I made an appointment through the very kind Rayna at the front desk, and I was very excited to finally get my rat’s nest taken care of. When the day finally arrived, I was seated by Eric’s assistant Nikki, and everyone there was so polite and took care of me. It’s a great, lighthearted atmosphere there and I felt really comfortable. I explained to Eric and Nikki what I had wanted, didn’t want, and they understood completely. After Eric cut my hair and Nikki colored it, Eric blow-​dryed my hair straight and I was so happy with how great they made me look!
A few weeks later and wearing my hair in many different ways since then, I just find myself still being really thankful I was able to find them and trust them with my hair. Eric and the efoxx team definitely did not disappoint, and helped me glow. I recommend them and already am looking forward to going back very soon!

Had my first haircut with Elise. We talked for 10 minutes about what kind of cut and style I wanted, and less than an hour later, I walked out with the exact cut I had described. I love my cut and am planning on doing balayage with Elise in the near future. Elise was very sweet and we found out that we both love to travel, so we got along great. Her prices are also very reasonable. I am so happy I found a great hairstylist so close to home!

Elise is a goddess.
I came in with hair that desperately needed to be cut and colored, told her what I was looking for, and she gave me the hair of my dreams! She’s a master with blonde hair which is hard to find.
Everything about the experience was enjoyable — the people were great, they made me feel comfortable and even re-​parked my car in their lot when my limit ran out, and the work was top-​notch.
I have never had a better hair salon experience. My only complaint is that Elise doesn’t live in Portland :) Fortunately her work is so great that it grew out beautifully.

And once again, Elise is still amazing! Haha.
Even her doing something as simple as just toning my hair made me completely happy. My hair has definitely gotten brassy since the last time I saw her (November) so it was time to come back in to get it toned. My hair pulls very warm tones but I told Elise that I wanted it more cool toned/​ashy this time around. She warned me beforehand that it ashy colors tend to look a little bit darker. But I pretty much just let her work her magic from there. As soon as she started blow drying my hair (which she actually did for free), I already started seeing a major color difference in my hair. It was the perfect ashy color that I wanted! Bye bye to brassy and warm tones, hello to ashy and cool tones. I’m so in love.
Can’t wait to go back and get another haircut and more than likely go lighter ;)

Elise is nothing but gold talent. I have had black hair for the past 15 years and she made me feel like a young girl today. She took her time in making sure each step of my process was done correctly to minimize any damage. I love how my hair came out. thank you again Elise
