ARG Appliance Repair

I called around 3:00 on a Saturday to have my refrigerator looked at and the guy on the phone was very helpful. When he asked me when I wanted an appointment and I said as soon as possible, he said he could send one out same day. The tech arrived a little before 4:00. Quick service!
Although the tech was unable to fix it due to being the compressor, he did not try to sell me anything extra. He was very honest about what was wrong. I was able to buy the voucher online to receive $ 25 off too!

On Thursday I called ARG about coming out to fix a washer that was not draining. I was told the earliest they could get anyone out would be Tuesday. Five days to get someone out is ridiculous. I called someone else. If you can get them to come out sooner, they do a great job.

Tigran was at my house today for my Uline ice maker and was AMAZING! I have had years of bad service from so many other companies and now I have found gold! I recently had a repair man from another company who stood here and told me I needed a new computer panel and it was hundreds of dollars. Tigran came in and in about 2 minutes figured out that I needed to clean the lint out of the front panel! That’s all it was! He knew I had 2 dogs and opened that up, cleaned it out and told me he thought that was the problem! We stood there and in a couple minutes ice started dropping! I AM SO HAPPY!!! I would give 100 STARS if I could! Thank you Tigran!

They sent a repairman to my home so quickly which was amazing. The repairman was nice and honest about what was wrong with my oven.
It was nice to be able to get a coupon here on Unilocal and pay less for the visit.

I suddenly had a washing machine that wouldn’t drain. I called ARG at 1:00 and by 4:00 the machine was repaired! The service was extremely professional and the service man was honest and did a great job.

Very happy with their customer service. They got back to me with a same day appointment within 10 minutes of my initial call. Spoke with Sam & Thomas who were very friendly and professional.
Technician arrived on time, was done within an hour and did a great job. I was given 15% off labor for mentioning Unilocal,plus offered another $ 25 discount for cash as opposed to credit card. My dryer was making some funky noises, it’s all good now and tech said replacing the kit should give me another 10 years on it.

Wanted to update my review of this company… The manager Sam had called & sincerely apologize for the bad experience I had with them. He explained that was not the way they normally conducted business and they wanted to set things straight. He offered me a full refund of the service which I didnt ask for and refund of the Unilocal deal. That usually doesnt happen with most companies nowadays and I think people deserve a second chance. Its saying a lot about a company to ensure their customers are happy with their service. So I will definitely keep their number handy & call them in the future if I had appliance trouble.

Armen was great — came same day and checked things out. We had a freon leak, so he gave us our options and we chose what we wanted him to do. He was nice, professional and was even playing with our cats! When I initially called, the guy who took my info was super nice too. Would definitely recommend them!

Steve came out on time, was clean, professional, polite and knowledgable. He identified the problem and gave me an estimate of the cost almost immediately. He fixed our washer quickly and we are very pleased. I would highly recommend LA Appliance Repair to friends and family.

They came the same day I called them. The compressor died on my frig and the recommendation was to get a new frig since the cost of the repair was close to ½ the cost of a new frig. I appreciate their honesty and fast and courteous service. They are a trustworthy company. I certainly will call on them for any other appliance needs.

Our Uline undercounter refrigerator stopped working. I went on their website to search for an authorized repair co. ARG stood out among the others with their high ratings at Unilocal.I totally agree! They are professional, knowledgeable and reasonable too! This is my first time but I will definitely call them again when I have problems with my other appliances. They also repair Sub-​Zero, Thermador, Wolf etc.

Definitely 5 stars. My very old Whirlpool dryer started making a loud nonstop screeching noise today, in the middle of a couple of loads of laundry. I called three companies that i found on Unilocal.The first two could not come until tomorrow, which is understandable, this being almost 4pm, but the third one i called was ARG and they told me they could have a technician out today, in about an hour, or, between 5 and 6pm. i was very relieved, because of the wet laundry i had. i noticed that the other companies had shorter hours, only open til 5. ARG’s hours were until 6:30 M-​F and until 2:30 on Saturday. cool.
When the technician arrived, he went right to work on the dryer, checking it out to see what was making the ear piercing screech. He was very professional and friendly and nice, comfortable to be around. He put WD40 on one part and the noise stopped, but he said it was a temporary fix and the noise would come back. He said in order to repair it, the part needed replacing, and also the belt was wearing out, he showed me, it was about to go. The part that was screeching was some kind of pulley with a spring. The replacement part comes as part of a kit which includes the belt and also the rollers, because these things all age together.
I told the technician that the dryer had been making a different kind of noise earlier in the year and i had a different company out to fix it, and according to my receipt, they replaced the rollers, for $ 300. I could see even at the time and even knowing nothing about dryers, that i got a bad deal, i got screwed, but i needed the dryer so i got it fixed. The guy who came out and did that work was very unprofessional in the way he acted and talked. He did the bare minimum, not replacing all the parts that were wearing out but only the rollers, which were causing the noise.
The result was that about 6 months later, the noise came back again, and 7 months later, other parts wore out and i had to have another repair. The ARG technician showed me that the dryer was filled with years of built up dust and lint dirt, and he said when i had the previous repair, it should’ve been vacuumed out at that time. The technician showed me that the belt was wearing out and was ready to go. He said it should’ve been replaced at the time of the previous repair.
ARG cleaned out the machine, replaced the whole kit, which included new rollers, spring, pulley, and belt, and charged me $ 75 less than the other guy had charged just for the rollers. i was shown the rollers that the other guy had put in. They were discolored and rusted, not the way they should have looked if they were new (installed 7 months before). Apparently i was given used rollers for $ 300. Obviously rollers that didn’t come in a kit that included all new parts needed, including the now broken pulley and spring, the belt and the rollers.
My dryer is running beautifully now, like when it was new, it’s quiet, it’s clean, no more built up dust and has a new belt. I’m happy. I would use ARG for any appliance need and recommend them to anyone. They are honest, hard working, they have good clear communication, and are fair. My repair man expressed regret that i had just paid so much for a repair that only lasted a few months and he said he felt bad about me having to pay for another repair. Again, he charged me almost ¹⁄₃ less than the previous repair and did a much more thorough job with new parts. Also, ARG has long enough hours so that if you have something break down, you might be able to get it fixed the same day.

I found ARG online when my wine cooler quit, a faulty compressor being the suspected culprit — I spoke with Sam the manager by phone who gave me an estimate of $ 300 to replace the compressor, if indeed that was the problem.
The serviceman, Ahmed, not only arrived on time, but called 30 minutes earlier to confirm the appointment. He diagnosed, as guessed, a faulty compressor, the replacement of which i chose to provide. I paid the agreed upon amount of $ 65 for a service call, which would apply toward the final bill.
When the new compressor arrived i called ARG and Ahmed returned to install it — after 2 hours of labor, the wine cooler still did not work — Ahmed correctly diagnosed that the wrong compressor had been shipped. He agreed to return when i sorted out the compressor issue. He did not charge for his time.
One month later, with the correct replacement compressor in hand, i called Sam again and made yet another appointment with Ahmed — As before, he spent another 2 hours removing the faulty compressor and installing the new one.
The final cost was $ 300, as originally quoted, including the $ 65 service call diagnosis!
That Ahmed had to make two trips and only charged for one is not to be believed in this day and age.
I CANNOT SAY ENOUGH IN FAVOR OF THESE PEOPLE!

I’m an absolute moron. I reviewed ARG yesterday because I thought our ice maker that they fixed was broken again. It is not. It was just having trouble making ice because it was frickin hot out yesterday. I apologize for the first review. ARG is a reputable company and they did a good job. Once again, I apologize to ARG… They actually emailed me for feedback! Now that’s good customer service!

Let us know that our dishwasher was no longer functioning and that we should get a new one

This is the first time I’ve ever come back AFTER A YEAR just to write a second review. But the fact is, when you find this level of high quality service it’s only right to share that information with those looking for the same.
6 PM on a Wednesday I made an emergency call to ARG Appliance Repair. Because we’d had a great experience with their service tech Armen I picked up the phone fully intending to push as hard as I needed to get him as our tech. But no pressure was needed at all. Their customer support (even at this late hour) was so gracious, understood my sense of urgency, did his best to accommodate my need and my special request for a specific technician, and did so in such a professional manner. I have never been treated with such respect from any company. Despite my extremely late call their tech Armen showed up the same day and took care of us.
I can’t recommend this company highly enough. Honest, knowledgeable, reliable, reasonable, and the best customer service I’ve ever experience in any industry.

Sam, Gen Mngr did a great job reacting to a call for service at 2PM and by 5PM he had his team there. He made a follow up call to me the same day and has forwarded his recommendations to me as we are a property management company off site form this property.
He took his time to talk about the alternatives we have. No rush, no pressure. A good professional approach.
Great job, fair price and clear instructions on what they can do.

Showed up when promised. He was able to make the repair on my Sub-​Zero freezer
because he had a fan motor in his truck. What are the odds anyone else had one? This was the late afternoon of a day before a holiday. I was happy he did not gauge me on the price which he could have holiday eve. I have used them before on an oven repair and would use them again and recommend them highly!!!

I love ARG Appliance Repair. I have used them for a year now to work on my 20 year old refrigerator, and they have totally blown me away. The guys who come out have a deep knowledge of the systems they are repairing. This means that they are going to find problems that other technicians think are unsolvable. And they only fix what needs to be fixed. Which means you won’t get stuck paying more than you need to.
I recently lost ARG’s contact info and tried another 4-​star Unilocal recommendation. That was a mistake. Thank goodness I got back in touch with ARG. They are so much better than the other guys.
