We are ALWAYS available for pet parents to schedule a pick up or drop off. If you have 15 mins and haven’t seen our place, schedule a walk through and we can find out how to productively distract your dog enough to stop pulling on that leash!

Strategically located in North Hollywood, ABDH is able to provide secure, affordable, safe, cage free, 24hour boarding and pet day care services. We focus on puppy programs & development (2, 4 & 6 wk boot camps) and soon will include grooming. We love to address negative escalating behaviors & social issues and we will take the time to acclimate dogs and assist new dog owners. Also, progressing towards grooming services!

Experience our K9LAX Shuttle Service (adv req, addtl cost). Pick up and discuss instructions and expectancies while tending to pet and/​or home. Drop at LAX, on time, and we will patiently await your return.

History

Established in 2011.

Ms. Sutter has been on set daily for decades and being the animal lover she is, Tracey couldn’t help but notice the influx of dogs running awry on set increase over the years. PoochWatchers and «Pampering your Pets» was born.

In May 2011, Tracey developed a partnership with dog advocate Dave McGoo and A BiG DOG HOUSE and personal pet care took hold. The staff at A BiG DOGHOUSE understand the «Dog’s Eye View» and that is why our 4 legged clients bring their two legged parents back for more.

McGoo is completely in tune with the animals at A BiG DOG HOUSE and offers his experience and expertise in the areas of puppy and dog development. We’ve got the flexibility and knowledge to help the client with the new pup or the nervous rescue.

Our system works! When new dogs witness all dogs, big or small, rotating around the property, they too fall right in line. Retrieval and proper leash walking are staples in our dog training so we will be working on that first!

My puppy loves coming here. Mark, aka McGoo, has taught Tic Tac how to walk better on the leash. Currently working with him on being non aggressive with other dogs. So far he is making great progress.

I was in a pinch and needed someone responsible that could watch my 6 month old pup. I read several reviews on Unilocal and Mark was the first to return my call. He was traveling back to LA and he was willing to come pick up my puppy once he landed in LA. He took great care of him and really worked with him to help alleviate his lack of social skills. In addition, he was more than fair on the rate he charged me too. Mark «Magoo» will always be my first choice to watch my dog anytime I need boarding. He’s a great sitter and its clearly obvious he cares about what he does. Thanks again Magoo!

I was fortunate enough to share a plane ride with this man and it became immediately clear that he is a spirit BORN to do this. I saw videos of the happiest dogs playing on the land, and saw McGoo watching these videos with me through the eyes of a proud father. I am so grateful to finally have met someone whom I feel is even far above the caliber of person I would trust to share my own pups with. I vote 100% on McGoo. There’s no other way to put it than YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!

Mark is a really good person and is great to the dogs that he helps care for and train. You are in really good hands if you stumble upon his place! No matter what you need… he will do what he can to achieve it and make your life and your dog’s life better.
He has the only 24 hour dog care that I know of and is always accessible and easy to work with. What a find!

Mark is a godsend. When I was in the 11th hour of trying to rehome my wonderful pitbull Jax, Mark came through huge for us. He sat with me and listened while I told him my situation and was so helpful.
He showed me his facilities and all the dogs in his care. He was so knowledgeable and in tune with the dogs it was amazing. We were able to work out a long term situation with Jax in which he spent time working with Jax and correcting a few minor behaviors before we reached rehoming situation.
After a few weeks and a few meet and greets with potential new owners, Mark found a great home for Jax. Awesome!
Mark is not your average dog sitter. He is So much more! He really understands dogs, and even more he understands people. Great guy and highly recommended!

I had a beautiful old golden who needed some daytime walks and tender loving care. Two film industry producers I knew recommended Pooch Watchers. I was impressed with Mark’s passion and commitment to training and helping me improve Sadie’s overall happiness and energy. Mark quickly assessed what was missing in Sadie’s daily routine after we talked. He had observed the areas where she mainly roamed and took note where there could be improvements made. After making the few changes Mark suggested I noticed that she was happier and more friendly when we had vistors come to the house. Thanks Pooch Watchers.

When Mark met my dog Taylor she immediately liked him. For people like myself that are in the entertainment industry, our hours are crazy and we do not always have time to do thing like, vet appointments, grooming and long walks.
PoochWatchers helped me in those areas, as well as dog sitting for me in my home and over night with Mark at his home.
Though my Taylor is a Great Dane and I cant bring her on set with me, PoochWatchers will be my first call.
