We start at 1999. First our name is Hong Kong 88 Chinese. We add sushi to our menu at 2005. Than we change our name to 88 Chinese and Sushi. We have been at this location for over 14 years. We have one more location in West Hollywood: 418 N Fairfax Ave.

This is one of the nastiest places I have ever been to. I placed an order to go yesterday (05/​14/​2016). As I am placing my order the lady taking my order is eating while she punched in my order on the computer. Food in her left hand food in her mouth. I was so disgusted. She was actually talking to me with food in her mouth. At the same time I’m watching the cooks directly behind her. They were preparing someone’s meal for delivery. I watched has they placed six cooked shrimp tempura on top of this dirty counter top. Keep in mind this is someone’s order. I had to take a picture. Stay sway from this nasty dirt place. Health Department has been notified

Worst place I can ever get sushi from I like the sushi but this place was only 10 minutes away from my house and they took half an hour just to get to my house. I called the restaurant 3 times and the lady was explaining it was on its way! But it wasn’t because it took them that long just to deliver my food. And the delivery guy had a freaking car!

I love this place. They’re quick with delivery (admittedly, I live 5 minutes from the restaurant) and the food is super tasty and extremely consistent.
I typically order orange chicken or beef and the portion is big enough for me to get 2 – 3 meals out of it, and I’m a pretty good eater. Friends and family have ordered walnut shrimp, 3 flavor delight and hot basil chicken. All of them delicious.

Just enjoyed this with some of my friends. Great place with a large variety, if you don’t like sushi, there’s Chinese, if u don’t like Chinese there’s sushi. The food was also very delicious and the customer service was great. They are also open late which is great. I will definitely be coming here again.

I used to live in West Hollywood & would order from Chinese 88 on Fairfax… I absolutely loved it & wrote a review expressing as such!
I moved to the Valley and finally found out that my FAVORITE delivery restaurant was near by on this side of the hill too!!! WhoooHooooo!!! I was so Happy! And they have not disappointed! Chinese 88 on Sepulveda is equally Great & the delivery is lightening quick!
The food is ALWAYS sooooo gooooood! I love it and it made my move to this side of the hill That Much Better!

Very close to our hotel the Hampton Inn. We arrived close to 10pm after a long drive in from San Francisco. We were tired and hungry. The service was fast and food was delicious. I order the Spicy Tuna Roll and my hubby got the dim sum, and Lo Mein Shrimp. The portions are big. We place an order to go for the kiddos and at end of meal and we were surprised how quickly then had our order ready to go. Super fast. Service was pleasant and very informative regarding the menu.

I love this place for the most part. I order out from here at least once a week. Food is always hot, and tasty. My only complaint is the female driver. When she delivers our food and I ask her the price she ALWAYS rounds up, lies. If its 17.01 she’ll tell me 18. She does it every time. I know a dollar here and a dollar there from me isn’t a lot. Its just dishonest. I’m sure she does it with every customer. So it adds up with the tips. Would be 4.5 stars if not for that.

I dug this place. The shrimp fried rice was really good and I was lucky enough to take some home for leftovers and it hit the spot the next day when i got hungry. Also the people who work there are super friendly. They were really kind to me, i love great service :)

Didn’t feel like cooking tonight so we ordered take out. I have to say I was pretty impressed. The food showed up 10 min. Before stated drop off time and the food was nice and hot. We ordered lo Mien with shrimp, spicy seafood soup, and dumpings. I have a cold right now, so the soup cleared my sinuse really fast. So delicious! I will definitely be ordering from here more often. :)

You know what the first place I hit after being gone for two years? Yep. Love this place. Little unassuming spot on Sepulveda next to a liquor store and Zankou — stumbled in years ago and if sushi and/​or Chinese is what I’m after — this is my go to.
Great staff, some unique items I can’t find anywhere else like the American Roll; fresh, flavorful — catering turned out to be awesome too!

Super friendly customer service. Great food, yummy with great portions. The people who rated this 1 or 2 stars is because they are unaware of the parking located in the BACK and use other apps to order instead of just calling and speaking. Also, regarding the person complaining about delivering at an office area — it’s an office area! How many times have our GPS apps let us down and take us to the wrong building?
At the end of the day this restaurant does the very best they can and I applaud them.

The good — The food is actually quite flavorful and for me, they deliver on time.
The bad — The last three times, they have called me for delivery, and not been outside my office building. Add to that that this last time, the driver didn’t even get out of her car to give me my food, just threw it in PARK and started to hand me the items through the window. I said, «Wow, you guys just get lazier and lazier,» which was when she giggled and stepped out of her car.
I order via Seamless, so I have to incur their $ 4 delivery fee, which I know doesn’t 100% get to the drivers. I will do so no more. I even tried to go to the location for pick up, but there’s no parking available.
So sorry to be breaking up with you, 88. Your customer service from your drivers is unacceptable.

If I were a kid, I’d give it five stars. Because I’ve seen kids eat their chow fun, lo mein, and special Thai chicken curry with as much gusto as a turkey drumstick at Disneyland. Not that I’ve ever been there, but you know what I mean.
For adults, it’s solid for stars. Therefore, it is the perfect place for weekday takeout when no one wants to cook.
