Specialties
We are a small vineyard, making our wine from locally sourced grapes in the Midwest. The vineyard is 5-acres alongside our tasting room and production space. Offering complimentary wine tastings and tours, gather a group of friends and family for a day at the winery!
We also host private events, please call or visit our website for pricing based on group size. Each guest is provided with a free wine tasting from a selection of wines and the opportunity to purchase by the glass or bottle. Non-alcoholic beverages are also available.
History
Established in 2011.
We formed the business in 2011, realizing our 5-acre field leased out for soybeans could produce a reasonable amount of grapes to support a small winery. We began the process of obtaining federal and state authorization to make wine and in 2013, began making wine for resale.
In 2014, our tasting room opened and we have been welcoming guests to come experience our fine wines and the winemaking process.
Meet the Business Owner
John M.
Business Owner
John is our winemaker and vineyard master. He works to ensure that he is making high quality wines that are balanced appropriately for fruit, sugar, and acid to deliver the best tastes.
He had been a hobby winemaker for years, starting out with kit wines before expanding to buying grapes and eventually working as Blackhawk Winery’s winemaker. His wife Deb is a veterinarian who is busy tending to our herd of «baby doll» sheep we bought to manage weeds in the vineyard.
