We stayed here over Labor Day weekend for my grandparents’ anniversary and had an absolutely great time! Every staff member was extremely polite and knowledgeable; you can tell they take great pride in this place. The rooms are beautiful, and the food they serve is wonderful, even though I know they thought I was crazy thanks to my pickiness. Honestly, what I did eat was awesome, including butternut squash soup and quinoa salad with fresh mozzarella, things I would never normally eat. The only downside is the price. It’s not really something the average family can do, especially if you want to do any of the al a carte activities. There’s quite a few of them, including zip lining(which despite my fear and embarrassment, turned out to be my favorite part of the trip) and ATV tours, which are not for the faint of heart. On a budget, there’s some great free activities like hiking trails, kayaks, and a swimming dock. There’s board games for all ages and cards downstairs in the lounge, a decent bar, and a movie room with giant beanbags to lay on instead of chairs. This place would be a dream to work at for anyone who enjoys being surrounded by some of the best views the Midwest has to offer. If you can’t skip out on your current life to do that, at least take a weekend to go visit; you won’t regret it.
