Stephens’ Carpet and Blessed Antiques

I stopped into this carpet store /​antique shop and ordered some carpet for an outdoor front porch. I think the husband runs the carpet business and the wife runs the antique business, and the son-​in-​law is one of the carpet installers. How’s that for a local family operated business!
It took about 7 days for my special order carpet to arrive, then due to it being a bit chilly and rainy and this carpet going outside on a covered porch, we had to wait about another 30 days for the weather to be right to get it installed.
The installers came and had it done in about 6 hours, and this included tearing up the old carpet and hauling it away. The new carpet is very soft, easy to clean, feels great on bare feet, has a 5 year warranty, and looks great on the front porch. The very old (30yrs??) worn carpet was one of the first things seen by anyone walking up onto the porch, and now it makes you proud to have people come to your front door.
They did an excellent job, acted professional, and all seems to have been done very nicely and correct. To cover the porch with 1 piece of carpet and avoid having a seem, I did have to order a larger, most costly, piece of carpet. But with it being outdoor carpet I was worried the seem would give in a year or two and cause issues, and I will just use the leftover carpet elsewhere.
The cost was right at $ 500 total for everything. Approx size of 8ft x 16ft, very high quality carpet.
