I just got some food from this place for the first time ever. People I’ve talked to have said nothing but amazing things about it and they weren’t lying! I ordered a pita that had chicken, onions and peppers on it. It was good minus a little excessive grease. The fries were amazing! Better than National Coney or any other. Service was amazing, environment was nice and low key. The ideal mom and pop place. I’ll definitely be going back in the future. The guy next to me while I was waiting had a Western omelette and he was saying nothing but amazing things about that. I’m going to have to try that next time.

The food is actually pretty good. Id give the food a 4⁄5 stars which is unexpected when you see the place from the outside. Its 4:15pm on a monday and i tried calling for a carry out order and theyre not answering/closed? That right there will lose customers forever. People dont know how to run businesses now a days.

This is not a Coney Island! I am not sure what I would call this other than a «family» style restaurant. Stopped by here for a meet up before going golfing. I had the french toast and bacon. French toast, not bad. Bacon, cooked earlier in the morning, cold, thick, cooked well. The bacon was a good well done crispy, it was just kind of too cold and stale. Coffee, not bad. I have eaten at many family restaurants but this one is on the bottom of my list. :CASHONLY: They do have an ATM for restaurant patrons only though.

There are many ways to judge or rate a place and or services. It’s hard to evaluate a restaurant without including the value proposition the«cost vs. value». Shelby Coney is one of those places where you get a lot for your money thus why I give it a rating of 3 stars. A great value even though it has some flaws as everything in life does. Three people working hard to give the their customer a good meal for a fair price.
