Monte Carlo Catering & Banquet Hall

The first thing I noticed was a severely neglected parking lot FULL of giant tumbleweeds growing through cracks in damaged asphalt. Once inside, there were several more clues of neglect– one of the buffet tables full of stuff completely collapsed, the bartender was in a sweat drenched tizzy running around like a madman despite hardly anyone at the bar and repeatedly messing up drinks (like giving out a rum and coke after someone ordered a 7&7) Then, I lightly tripped over a color gel hot light someone put on the floor 2 feet away from the wall & when it’s power cable moved, just slightly, the entire wall socket popped right out of the wall.
Everything here was serve yourself, not even glasses were set on the table– they had a stack of em at the bar for you to grab and bring back. So the experience basically consisted of a room with tables. I must give credit however to the chef, our food was delicious– delectable chicken, fresh green beans, noodles is a crème sauce that was hearty yet not too heavy. Fresh crispy salad and more. So for an event other than a wedding, I’d say this place would be perfect on a budget.

My Mother threw me a Bridal Shower here and it is the last time any of my guest will ever be back.
Sunday afternoon shower and the food was COLD. Not warm like it had been sitting the warming trays for a while, cold like it was made the night before and never reheated properly.
Of course the manager insisted it was cooked before we came in but couldn’t explain why it was cold, and he refused to give us any sort of discount.
Never again.
Of couse we are not the only ones in town who stay away, you can drive by on a Friday or Saturday night and the place isn’t hosting a wedding when every other place is booked and packed!
STAY AWAY!

I had my bridal shower here in August and I would say it was sub standard. The food was typical which you would expect, it was the service and décor that was severely lacking.
The waitstaff we had was rude and not very helpful. Everytime I asked for something they «had to go check with their manager.» They had set up the bar with the pitchers of soda/​water and some punch bowls, as opposed to delivering drinks which was in my contract. They also cut my cake and then just put it on a try on a table instead of serving which was also in my contract. Needless to say, I am glad we got there early so I could fix as much as I could before my guests arrived.
This place would be fine if you are on a tight budget and you are not looking for glamour for your event. If you are the type-​A bride I would not recommend this for you!
