Friendly service, great wine selections by the glass and one of the best pizzas ever eaten in Wisconsin. Great view of water from the outdoor seating area! Can’t wait to go back and try the other pizzas on the menu.

Interesting décor. Beautiful bar. Enjoyed a beer flight which we enjoyed. Had a salmon pâté with capers as appetizer which was very good. Pizza… amazing. Sat on the patio, which is heated they said, and had an amazing view. Next time in Sheboygan, we will definitely stop here again.

I had my birthday dinner here and I’m glad I did. They forgot the sausage on our dish and I wasn’t sure if they did it because of that or because it was my birthday but they gave us a free dessert. Taylor was our server and she was highly accommodating even thought it was busy in the place. Also, we were welcomed with what I am positive was the owner and he was amazingly accommodating even with it being busy during dinner. I like that he’s not afraid to help out when the bartender is busy and she was. The desserts are amazing and the atmosphere and servous was professional and very endearing. Thank you and make sure you come here for a wonderful experience!

Had the steamed mussels and was pleasantly surprised. The butter, wine and garlic sauce was perfect! I actually had the sauce as a delicious soup. Highly recommended.

Great brick oven pizzas. Did I say great? I meant awesome! Pasta dishes have not disappointed either.
Plan ahead, quite busy so I recommend a reservation. Outdoors dining during the summer is nice too.

Nope, you just can’t go wrong with Harry’s.
We’ve been twice in the past two weeks, and both times were spot-​on awesome.
First, we took my friend Peter from NYC on Friday over Memorial Day weekend.
We started with the ‘Pomodoro’ — Cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, mozzarella cheese, olive oil and garlic, drizzled with balsamic glaze served on bread like bruschetta. This is fantastic. Something about their cherry tomatoes just gets me!
Next up, we ordered the corn pizza (with extra everything, as I always do) and then debated over which second pizza we’d get. Finally we decided to give the hot sopressata another try. I am so glad we did! It played well against the creaminess of the corn and crème fraîche on the other pizza! The spice level on the hot sopressata was perfect also!
Harry came by and had a convo with our NYC-​based buddy, and gave us interesting digestif drinks made out of walnuts called nocciono.
This past Sunday, I was shocked to see they were opened. Apparently they open for Sundays over the summer! What a wonderful surprise!
My husband and I mosied over and sat outside for a small bit before the rain storm hit. Harry’s brother was the manager this day, and immediately brought out the fantastic Burrata appetizer for us. He said, «If Harry were here, he’d do this, so I thought I should keep it going.» Awesome! Also awesome? That burrata appetizer. I’d never ordered it before, but will definitely be doing so in the future. It is mozzarella stuffed with mozzarella curds and cream, which alone is like eating a cloud and ascending to heaven. It’s served with an excellent salad (with those beloved cherry tomatoes) and the most scrumptious bread ever! Definitely from their pizza-​dough recipe, this bread is addictive.
We ordered the Frutti di Mare — a special with mussels, fried soft shell crab, under which were shrimp, and cheese-​stuffed gnocci. This was good, but I wouldn’t get it again. I think I might have just been musseled-​out though as I’ve been eating them a ton lately.
So of course we got the hot sopressata again, and downed most of it like piglets! The last piece I had to work hard to finish, but no way I was going to let it go to waste!
Harry’s is just fantastic, from customer service (Thanks Al and Vanessa!) to the food, to the décor. This is my happy place.

We love this place. The owner, Harry, is kind and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I always get the 4 seasons. It is a fun mix. You must try the nocciono, a walnut liquor. It is the perfect end to your dinner!

We just ate at Harry’s Bistro and it was fantastic:) We ate outside on their patio and it was awesome! It was heated the sun was setting and it was picture perfect. Our server was great and the food was excellent. We will be back with friends!

This rating is based upon the behavior of owner Harry Ljatifouski and the food served at his restaurant. We began our dinner about 6pm with just two other tables seated in the restaurant. We started with an appetizer, the Pomodoro which the restaurant describes as follows: Cherry tomatoes, fresh basil, mozzarella cheese, olive oil and garlic, drizzled with balsamic glaze. Served with bread. What we expected: Served with bread gave us the impression the bread was more of an accompaniment to which you would top-​off at the table with the listed of ingredients mentioned. What arrived was 6 half-​slice pieces of thinly sliced bread laid out on the plate (untoasted), each half slice came to the table already topped with 1 cherry tomato cut in half and a small scoop of mozzarella cheese, drizzled as indicated with oil & balsamic — basic and underwhelming!
As the entrée pizza we chose the Mezza Luna which the restaurant describes as follows: Tomato, house made mozzarella and fresh basil — hidden in the crust, mascarpone, garlic, sausage and tomato includes a small salad. What we expected: a full pizza pie with the crust all the way around the circumference of the pizza, stuffed as described and a small side salad served separately somehow. What arrived was ½ a pizza pie with sauce, mozzarella cheese and sprigs of fresh basil leaves, a ¼ pie space that held the stuffed crust components, and then in the remain ¼ pie space was the heavily oiled salad — again underwhelming and most definitely not a pizza to be shared. Average taste, nothing more.
As the owner Harry Ljatifouski was going table to table asking patrons about the food, he stopped at our table to ask about our dinner. Our reply was that what was served was different than what the menu said. Harry replied that his menu reflects the style of his homeland and pointed at a document on the wall that is a certification that the food being served is authentic Italian Neapolitan style cuisine. While I said that may be true I was not satisfied with the food because what was described in the menu did not match-​up with what was served. Harry said «I believe it does» then turned to walk away and never did he return. Harry made no attempt to make things right in any way, so we paid the bill in full including leaving a very good tip for the waitress and left the restaurant with a vow not to return.

Sheboygan has always had a wonderful foodie scene, so it was no surprise when Harry’s popped up on the South Pier with a creative menu and excellent wine selection.
The pizza, antipasti and other menu offerings always deliver, and the vegetarian options are just as thoughtfully crafted as their meaty counterparts. In addition to the basics like margherita and marinara, many other options including flavorful cheeses and well prepared veggies grace the menu.
I do think that they could stand to let the prohibition theme chill out a little– I’ve always felt that the costumed staff is a cheap gimmick that feels mismatched compared to the quality of the food and beverages.

Been to this place 4 times and this place never disappoints me, Very chick and cool place, nice decoration, Great service, Delicious food!

A wonderful experience that is comprised of great food, service and environment.
The layout of the space and the ambiance is intimate as soon as you walk in. Perfect for a date or a dinner between friends looking to enjoy great food and company. We were offered the patio by the hostess; a bit skeptical, she reassured us that it was covered and heated. «A patio in March?!» was my first reaction, but boy did it end up being a gorgeous evening on the lakeside.
We ordered two beer flights (they have an extensive wine and beer list) and split their Truffle pasta and Boardwalk Salad (which is served atop a pizza crust!). Everything was fantastic. The truffle pappardelle pasta had huge slices of portabella mushrooms; perfect for any mushroom lover and the salad was dressed appropriately given that bleu cheese can easily overpower any dish. The salad was crisp to the forks touch; well prepared. I would ask for dressing on the side next time just so I could take it home and save the perfection for later!
The portions given the quality of ingredients and price are unbeatable! This restaurant is perfect for both those looking for a gratifying and unique experience for their taste buds as well as those who prefer to stick to well-​received Italian classics.
As someone who cooks often and is a firm believer in that Italian food is more often than not a miss around the US, I would come here time and time again.

The food was fabulous, the drink menu was long and tasty and the service was good! My family and I came here for a birthday dinner a few nights ago for the first time. With a party of 6 I was bummed they did not take reservations but we only had to wait about 25 minutes on a Saturday night after Christmas so I am not complaining. We had wine, beer, the mozzarella appetizer and then everyone had their own pizza. I was extremely impressed with how delicious the red sauce was, I even asked for a side of sauce to dip my pizza in it was that good!!! By the end of the night we were all stuffed and extremely happy with the decision to come to Harry’s Prohibition Bistro. Side note, thanks for the birthday Lemoncello shot :)

Excellent pizza. Brought me back to London 1985. I have not had that delicious, tasty, most dynamic pizza until today. Bravo!
We normally each half a 12″ pizza and today we are it all!

This place is by far one of the best restaurants for Italian Food and we are from Chicago. The owner and staff are so polite. Food was outstanding !!! Braised beef was so good and tender. My wife and kids all enjoyed their meals. All of the ingredients are fresh!!! Must get a pizza they are to die for

My girlfriend and I didn’t even know this place existed until we walked past it on our way to South Pier Parlor. We decided to come back and give it a go, and we’re definitely glad we did.
The interior is really cute and is, as expected, prohibition themed. The waitstaff are in hats and suspenders, the lights are dimmed. It’s a cool looking place. We opted to sit outside, so that we had a view of the river. Our waiter was really nice and made sure we knew all the specials, and checked on us often. The owner, Harry I presume, also came around and talked to all the tables, which I thought was a pretty cool touch. He’s a nice guy and seemed to really care that our food was good and that we were comfortable. He ended up lowering our shade for us because we looked too much in the sun, which made us laugh a bit.
We started off with two Stella Cidres ($ 4.50) and the Pomodoro appetizer, which appears to no longer be on their menu but was I believe about $ 8. It was bread, mozzarella, tomatoes, and oil and balsamic, and it was delicious. It was also a bigger portion than we had anticipated.
Then came our entrees. I ordered a lemon pizza ($ 11) which comes with smoked mozzarella cheese, lemon, arugula, parmesan cheese and fresh basil. My girlfriend ordered the Chicken and Gnocchi ($ 18) which is (according to the menu) grilled chicken and potato gnocchi, onion and garlic sautéed in white wine reduction and fresh cream with sun-​dried tomato butter topped with prosciutto crisp.
My pizza was pretty good. The crust was thin but still soft, which I appreciated. The flavor was nice. The smokey cheese went well with the bitter lemon. My one issue is that I thought the arugula would be on the pizza like a normal topping. Instead it came in a weird, salad-​like pile on top. I ended up just moving the pile off to the side to get my pizza. It was good, but I’d order a different pizza next time.
My girlfriend’s chicken and gnocchi however was fantastic. The chicken was well-​cooked and juicy. The gnocchi were cooked perfectly. The sauce it was in was absolutely delicious, creamy but not to heavy and full of flavor. Admittedly, I kept shoving my pizza crusts in her bowl to dip them in the sauce, it was that good. I’d order that again and again.
For dessert, we decided to split one so we didn’t feel guilty about going to South Pier later. We opted for the vanilla Panna Cotta ($ 4) French style, that is, with the burnt sugar layer on top like you’d find on a crème brûlée. It was really good. It was the right consistency and texture, it had a nice creamy flavor, and I mean, who doesn’t love that moment when you get to tap your spoon against the sugar?
We’re sad we waited so long to come here, but we’ll definitely be back. There’s a great, relaxed atmosphere, friendly workers, and good food, all with a view of the river.

If you are looking for a family friendly, reasonably priced Italian dining experience, I highly recommend that you give HPBP a try.
We visited on a Sunday night just as they opened, and I’m glad we got there early, because the place was packed by the time we left.
We got a friendly greeting and were seated immediately. The wait staff are all decked out in suspenders and red fedoras, to resemble gangsters of the Prohibition era… pretty cool.
Our server Jessica was friendly and knowledgable on the menu items. They have decent beer selection, so I started with a 3 Sheeps Rebel Kent, a malty (not too) sweet delight.
My entrée was linguine with marinara and Italian sausage. The marinara was as rich and flavorful as the best I’ve ever eaten and the sausage was savory and not overly spicy.
Our pizza choices were Margherita, and the other, sausage. The toppings were just right, the sauce with a light tomato flavor and the thin crust was tasty.
Another point I would like to make is that during our week in Sheboygan, we visited a number of restaurants, and Harry’s was the ONLY restaurant at which (I’m assuming he was) the owner walked from table to table asking if patrons were enjoying their meal, and then thanked us on the way out… so kudos to them!
Next time we are vacationing in Sheboygan, Harry’s will be our first choice for Italian dining.

We had an unforgettable evening at Harry’s Prohibition Bistro Friday night. The service, the food and the experience were all top notch (and I’m picky when it comes to great Italian fare).
Despite arriving without a reservation, we were well taken care of. The staff was genuinely friendly. Even Al (the co-​owner) personally checked in on us at the bar while we sipped on a delicious glass of (properly aerated) Sheriff of Buena Vista Red Blend wine. When our preference of a patio table opened up, we got to watch the sunset while savoring their absolutely incredible Burrata appetizer (the bufala mozzarella is out of this world)! Every bite of the Prosciutto and Grapes was fresh and flavorful.
We ordered a few different pizzas because we couldn’t choose just one. The Margherita DOC was my personal favorite. The Lemon pizza with arugula and basil was also delightfully (and surprisingly) refreshing on this warm summer evening.
Our server commented that while she has another full time job, she still works at least one night a week here because she loves this place and the people. After eating here, we completely understand what she means.
Thank you, staff at Prohibition Bistro, for a fantastic dinner. My family and I argued all the way home over which aspect of dinner was the best. I still say it’s the Burrata. Bravo!
