This is my first time trying this place out, it’s been over an hour and no food. The waitress didn’t even come back to tell me why it’s taking so long. After the long wait, the food came out, bacon was not crispy, sausage was burnt, hash browns were cold. I was not impress by the service or the food, will not be going back there! Will give them a no star if I can.

Well, for starters their food doesn’t have mold on it, which places it miles ahead of its nearest competitor(No need to name names, but let’s just say the perpetrator has a view of the park). However, simply comparing this restaurant against a feeding trough would be an injustice to the class, professionalism, deliciousness, and genuine care that is The Point. As the restaurant was closing, they not only stayed open for my girlfriend and I, but carried a table into the parking lot to fulfill our desire to dine outside. Every interaction was positive, every request was met with a smile, and every dish was free of mold.

I’ve been eating at The Point for over 20 years. There are days I simply crave the charcoal flavor and bun dripping with butter. The Onion Rings(haystack style) are among the best I’ve ever had – pricey steakhouses be damned! Something was different today, though. I’ve never once had a complaint about this place. Perhaps it was a sign of the times and my age, but I find a dirty looking server with tattoos a turnoff. I’m willing to look past that, though. For the first time ever, my hardroll was stale/hard. When the juices and butter from a Double Cheeseburger can’t soften a hardroll, you know it’s stale! Disappointed, to say the least.

Good substitute for fast food!!! Didn’t want anything in the fridge so we decided on steak sandwiches from the point. It is your typical Wisconsin steak sandwich with the works, nothing extraordinary except for the price. Dinner for two with cheese nugs & french fries was $ 12. We were happy with the quality of everything and will definitely be ordering from there again.

The Point has been in business 50 years and at one time waitresses roller skated to take orders. Whenever I visit family in area we end up with a meal at the point. The potato pancakes are the best I have ever had, outstanding steak sandwiches so big they don’t fit on the bun and the prices are insanely inexpensive. The huge steak sandwich is like $ 3 ! My 92 year old grandmother eats here twice a day ! The staff is as nice as it gets, just like an old time diner where they forgot to update the prices about 20 years ago.

The potato pancakes here are the best I have ever had. They only have them for breakfast though and only a few days a week. The onion rings are hand made and class leading. The rest of the food though is merely good or average and the atmosphere is real divey.
