What a great gem in the middle of Oklahoma. Take some time to talk to the attendant at the front desk. There was a very nice gentleman there when we went and he was able to give us a little more information about the museum and Fr. Gerrer. Only thing– I totally forgot to get a postcard!!!

Awesome museum! The collection covers a wide range of styles and time periods. It has some unique artifacts that you can’t find in most museums (an Egyptian mummy!). We spent about an hour there and enjoyed every minute. I would highly recommend this to anyone who’s in the area.

Shawnee, OK
I first visited this museum in 2004, and I’ve been coming back ever since. The star of the museum is an Egyptian mummy named Tutu. You’ll see art spanning a huge time – from ancient Egypt to present day. If you’ve never been here, you’ll be surprised how stunning everything is.
Def a must see if you’re visiting Shawnee.
