We have been doing renovation for over a year now and still are not done. We live in the Prairie Village area and he had been recommended to us. Things started off well, but things deteriorated quickly and we had moved out of the house to an apartment for FIVE months. Nothing, I mean nothing, was done the last two months. We are still fighting daily to get anything done. We call and the voicemail is always full, so I text him daily with a «to do» list and hope someone shows up. DON“T DOIT. Everyone I tell this story to, cannot believe all that we have been through. The city inspectors are frustrated and tell us that a lot of others in Prairie Village are in the same situation with half done homes and promises. Several of these are our neighbors as well. This is so unbelievable. We have talked to an attorney and Mr. Corker is doing just enough to get by so we can’t take legal action at this point. His workers are even frustrated, saying they are getting yelled at by customers because no one is happy or can get him on the phone. We aren’t sure if he is incompetent, a scheister or both but stay away from this one, folks. Ricardo, the framer, did a masterful job with the additions in the beginning but after that, it was all downhill. Our job hit a year in August and still is not resolved. WE have half way done projects and promises all over the house and property with another winter approaching. Our next call is to the BBB. Seems he has changed names of his company, we are told by the county inspectors, so watch out!

In September(2012) I purchased 2 coupons through Morgan’s Deals for Corkers Remodeling.(Each voucher was for a discounted rate of 4 hours of handyman/remodeling service) MISTAKE! They took forever to return calls and I don’t think they ever responded to my emails. I got to the point where I was contacting Morgan’s Deals to find out if there were other complaints from other people who purchased the vouchers. NOVEMBER I finally got a call — of course they apologized and said they were just so swamped with honoring the coupons that they were overwhelmed. PHIL even went on to say they would never do one again. I FINALLY got a room painted, using 6 of the 8 hours(the painter’s 5 smoke breaks are counted in those 6 hours). I called PHIL the next day to discuss using the other 2 hours. I wasn’t surprised he never returned my call. 1 week after my voucher of 2 remaining hours expired, I see that they are advertising again on Morgan’s Deals. DON’T DOITFOLKS!!! It’s better to go without that honey-do list getting done or room getting painted then to deal with them.
