The mission of Associated Audiologists is to establish quality, convenient, caring, and comprehensive state-​of-​the-​art hearing care services. In addition, we will establish innovative efforts aimed at education, prevention, rehabilitation, and community service.

History

Established in 1985.

Associated Audiologists, Inc. is the Kansas City area’s leader in audiologic care for hearing, tinnitus and balance disorders. Currently owned by Timothy C. Steele, Ph.D., FAAA, president, the practice was established in 1985 by Dr. James A. Wise, president emeritus.

Today, it has grown to include 14 university-​trained audiologists and five convenient locations in Overland Park, Prairie Village, Shawnee Mission, Leavenworth and Manhattan.

Timothy C. Steele, Ph.D., FAAA, President

Timothy C. Steele, Ph.D., FAAA, president of Associated Audiologists, Inc., has extensive experience in the field of audiology. He is a clinical assistant professor and has an ad hoc graduate faculty appointment at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where he teaches audiology coursework and he provides clinical instruction for audiology programs in the region. He earned his doctorate of philosophy in audiology degree from the University of Kansas. Dr. Steele’s research interests and passion are in the areas of hearing loss rehabilitation and hearing aids.
