Wowee! Doughnuts that range from the traditional to the sublimely desserty! We went out of our way to find The Filling Station, only to arrive about 15 minutes after closing. And what did these incredibly nice folks let us do? Come in for a box of a random assortment of the remaining donuts of the day — which would fuel us for the remainder of our drive, and the next day as well! If you like your donuts sweet, and you like the «toppings» concept, then The Filling Station is absolutely worth detouring off your route for — just try to get there during their open hours! Yum yum!

Pros: My daughter and I went there to eat a couple of donuts. The staff was friendly and the 2 donuts we got were extremely good. Place was clean along with the bathroom so no complaints there. Now the Con: way overpriced I had a glazed and my daughter had one with gummie on it. Over 5 dollars. Whew I like a good donut but they can keep them for that price. Would love to go back but not at those prices.

As a novelty once in a blue moon I will go there because it’s fun and outrageous but the prices are the most outrageous part of the whole experience. I got 2 donuts, three tiny cookies that were 3 for a $ 1.00 and 6 donut holes and it cost me $ 10.86. To this day I keep thinking they must’ve made an error because surely their prices are not that high. When I asked why it cost so much the response was because it was such a novelty item and handmade. Sadly I went there to get a specific donut but they don’t make the same ones every day so the donut that I went there to get I didn’t even get.

My family and I stopped in this past Tuesday morning and the place was Already jumping. Lots of people inside and the drive thru was busy, always a good sign. We were a large party staying at Holden Beach and had been told about this new Coffee and donut/​pastry shop. There was donuts for everyone, basic for kids, and gourmet (my favorite) for everyone. Our Coffees were fantastic, latte was perfectly made. A lot of funky neat specialty donuts made every day and I was told they have different varieties on any given day so we will for sure to be back again as this is our families new must go to spot.

What a great find! We visited this place twice while on vacation. It definitely makes the doughnut/​donut list. Great variety. The seanuts are particularly good and the coffee is top notch. Impressive service consider how long they’ve been open.

Homemade yeast donuts made fresh daily and gourmet coffee which is the best ever. The baristas onsite are well trained and very friendly. You can’t help but love this place and all the variety of donuts to choose from. Maple bacon, PBJ, lots of kids selections and even banana pudding chocolate covered donut called Monkey Business. This is a must when in the OIB, Sunset Beach, Holden Beach and Shallotte area! Oh and they have gluten free offerings that are very delish!
