I was in town for the holiday season with my significant others family when we decided to catch a movie and they chose this place. It’s located inside a… weird strip mall of sorts, but it’s seemingly well maintained and well lit. The prices were a steal compared to what you pay at many other places, and the seating is ample and will suffice, but not super comfy. As for the snacks, pricey as per usual, but steer clear of the pretzel bites! The portion size of tasteless carbs could’ve fed the entire theatre, and the cheese was a bright yellow, flavorless melted plastic-esque mess. If I’m gonna eat some subpar movie snacks, I want flavor! Portion control, kids. Besides that, decent place to catch a flick!

This is my families favorite theater around. We have many in close proximity and choose this one everytime ! Cozy, comfortable and clean! And rarely a packed house which makes watching a movie with a quiet crowd better then new seats and recliners everytime! P. S. did i tell you i love this place! ???

Every morning on the KQ morning show I hear this theater advertised as having new recliners in the theaters. I really wanted to try them out, so we drove 20 miles out of our way from our usual theater to see American Sniper, and got in the theater and the seats looked like they were from the 90’s. There was nothing«recliner» about them. Completely false advertising. Did not meet any of my expectations.

What a dump! Old broken down seats, old popcorn all on a smaller than average screen. Next time we will drive to Burnsville or Eden Prairie.

This place is a blast from the past. It reminds me of going to watch movies in Jr. High(quite a while ago), which is a fond memory for me. The main ticketing, arcade, and concession area remind me of the 90’s. Opening nights at this theater are almost never packed, so this is my go-to place for movies. I used to make the trek up to a larger AMC until i finally checked this place out. I’ve only been in a few of the auditoriums inside(it seems i keep getting the same auditorium each time I go), so I don’t know if they’re all up-to-date but the screens i’ve seen have been Sony Digital 4k experience setups(not sure if this is bulb, projectors, software, or whatever — but it looks good). This place doesn’t neglect updating their projection technology, so you’re not missing anything offered by their bigger competitors other than HFR and IMAX releases. Sound is great. The auditoriums don’t have light pollution coming in from the hallways or emergency exits like you get in the run-down establishments, and they keep the place pretty clean. The rooms are well setup and the screen takes up the entire wall. The stadium seating is great as well. Honestly, if you think you’re missing anything by watching a movie in Shakopee, you’re mistaken.

We love this theater. It is usually not crammed with tons of people and they have orange soda! Hey also have a frequent viewers punch card that we love– ’cause we get free popcorn and soda!
