BEST WESTERN PLUS Shakopee Inn

Came here with my husband and two-​year-​old daughter for a single night getaway. Didn’t have high expectations before arrival, as we have never been here before. We were impressed with the amenities provided considering the inexpensive price. Complementary chocolate chip cookies upon arrival, Heated pool, hot tub was nice and hot, continental breakfast had a good variety and hot food, complementary professional grade massage chairs for guests, arcade room, polite staff, vending machines that excepted credit cards. Cons: Half of the décor was updated. Upon arrival, the main floor smelt like old cigarette smoke. It looked like all of the rooms were non-​smoking though. I would rate this hotel a three-​star considering all of the amenities provided.

We were quite pleasantly surprised with our stay. The employees were excellent. The salt water treated pool was great. No itchy skin and chlorine smelling suits! The free arcade kept the kids entertained while the adults relaxed for a bit in the massage chairs. We also utilized the shuttle to and from the Renaissance festival. To be honest, I normally wouldn’t have expected such a nice stay at a Best Western, but we will definitely be back next year!
P.S… The breakfast was excellent as well.

Very rude, dismissive staff. I had trouble reserving online and when I called in the «General Manager» just told me my only option was to cancel or pay for another room for twice as much than the one I had initially reserved months ago. I never had his full attention and he was having conversations in the background. He then got annoyed with my questions and hung up on me. He called back minutes later and told me my reservation was cancelled and he didn’t want me business at all. No problem… that place stinks anyway…

The room smelled of an unknown funk and it was a non smoking room so we couldn’t figure it out. It had an unclean feel and very outdated. We will not return.

Its a good place to stay but the service is not that great and it smells bad in the lobby. But overall its and okay place.

We were greeted as soon as we walked through the door by a fantastically friendly man and his wife. These are people that take pride in what they do, and it shows. A conversation was started about the energy-​saving initiative by the hotel. He was thrilled to discuss all that they have done and also showed me the pool area and its state-​of-​the-​art filtration system. The hotel and rooms were clean and comfortable. The next time I am in Shakopee Minnesota, I will be staying here!

Great Employees, very friendly!!! Everything was nice and clean, I didn’t use the internet in the lobby, but they had four computer (Maybe More) some arcade games, and a nice selection of vending machines. The work out room was also nice and clean.
The only negative things about this hotel, the breakfast wasn’t the greatest, but maybe it was just because I was expecting more.
Its a lot better then a normal continental breakfast, but the eggs, sausage, and biscuits seemed like fast food quality. Good for your kids, or possibly just your dog, but all together the hotel was a great place, as long as you take the «Full Breakfast» with a grain of salt.
