East Side Pedestrian Bridge

I absolutely love this bridge. It has a funky, chic design, and a way of brightening up my day. It connects the intersection of Ellsworth Avenue at Spahr Street with the southwest corner of the Eastside development parking deck in East Liberty. This is a great place to take pictures or go for a walk. I do wish Eastside Development was a little more cool about people parking on the deck and walking across the bridge, so hopefully that will change.
The bridge was designed by Pittsburgh native artist Sheila Klein. It features thousands of glass sequins made at the Pittsburgh Glass Center and railings that were salvaged from the 31^st Street Bridge.
