History

Established in 1975.

John Moore Agency was originally founded by John and Donna Moore in 1975. Their oldest son, David, joined the agency in 1984, and he ultimately purchased the agency from them in 1998. Finally, in 2007, the agency entered into a partnership arrangement with Shepherd Insurance & Financial Services, and that relationship remains in place today.

The agency is capable of addressing all types of insurance needs, with specialization in commercial, personal, life, and group health insurance. Their present staff of 8 people has over 125 years of combined insurance experience. The agency also represents some of the top companies within the industry, so competitive pricing and superior products are the standard. When you couple that with an old-​fashioned, down-​home approach to servicing their customers, John Moore Agency stands out among their peers in Southern Indiana.

Meet the Manager

David M.

Manager

David became involved in the agency after graduating from Ball State University in 1984. He received his CIC designation in 1988 and has been involved with all aspects of the business. He started in personal lines in 1984 and moved into the commercial insurance segment of the market in 1991. Today, he spends his time managing the commercial lines and group health business while overseeing the agency in a management role.
