The only reason for even 1 star is when we finally got our food it was good. We were seated within 10 minutes, no problem there. The problem came after being seated! Apparently they were having problems in the kitchen– we waited an hour for our food! We seriously considered leaving but we already had such a time investment and it is not there is a range of dining choices in the area. The whole time we are there they keep on seating more people that are totally unaware of they are in store for. When we complained upon leaving the manager just says sorry, nothing they can do about it! Try not seating more and more people– if we had been informed of the extreme wait we would have passed on it and continued on down the road!

Exactly what we expected from a cracker barrel which I have been to before. It’s obviously not a top notch restaurant or anywhere close to that. What they do have is friendly service, and a warm and welcoming store. This location was very clean, friendly, and welcoming. The country store was well stocked and have a wide variety of candy, sodas, and collectables.

Absolutely filthy from the bathroom to the table they sat me at and all around I stood at the host stand a long time also This was not at all the standard of Cracker Barrel I left without eating

The waitress(blonde hair) was absolutely clueless. We ordered four entrees and she screwed up all four. Forgot side dishes and we never got our breads. The other waitress(brunette with glasses) was awesome Made everything better. In fact the original waitress didn’t return(«had a complicated order») until the very end. Never got a refill on drinks. Nonetheless, the food was good and if we were waited on another server, we would definitely return The original server is in the wrong line of work

The manager stood right outside the door smoking. He blew the smoke my way when he saw me covering my mouth and then tried to cut me off getting back inside because I guess I made him mad covering my mouth. Total jerk. I left without eating here.

This location in particular had stellar service. Twice, the manager approached our table and even asked if our server satisfied our expectations. Prompt, friendly staff. Delicious food. Don’t pass it up.

It was exactly what I had hoped for and expected. Being a city(Chicago) dweller, we do not frequently get out to Cracker Barrels, except on road trips. This trip was down to South Carolina, by way of Knoxville. Like all Cracker Barrel restaurants, this one was easily accessible, right off the interstate. What I expected: a ton of home-style food, a friendly atmosphere, great service, and a cheap final bill. What I got: all of that. Our waitress was a 4 star server. What’s a 4 star server? Well, the star rating is based on the time spent working at the restaurant, along with the ability to pass progressively harder tests. 4 stars is the highest possible, and not easy to obtain. So needless to say, the service was excellent. I had the chicken & rice lunch, which is a Saturday-only special. It was excellent. Everyone in my party was also very pleased with their meals as well. The only thing I have to complain about was the cornbread biscuits. They were very dry and just not good overall. But that’s just a small downside to an otherwise excellent lunch. All in all it was 12 bucks after tip, which is still a little more than a fast food place, but much, much better.

The advertisment in our paper for the fresh-cooked taste of the Campfire Grill looked really good, so we went there for lunch today. I had the Campfire Chicken, for 8.29, and the raspberry iced tea. Both were very good. The chicken was half a chicken, a few new potatoes, large carrots, not the little ones, corn on the cob, a little tomato, and some onion chunks. It was seasoned just right and everything was sitting in it’s own juices. It comes wrapped in foil so be careful when you open it and yes the server did warn me. It’s hard not to over do the corn in this way of cooking, but it was still ok. Also comes with a choice of cornbread or biscuit. This lunch was so home-made. They have a new menu that looks really good, I can’t wait to go back. Good job Cracker Barrel.
