My wife surprised me with a nice lunch on fathers days day and it’s a shame we came here. The food was very good although my wife’s lunch was like warm at best. But unfortunately the server here obviously didn’t want to be here as she made as feel that we were an annoyance to her. Apps came out 30 seconds before lunch, because it sat in the window for over 5 minutes and she was rushing us to the point of it being uncomfortable to be here. There is better service in TWP and we plan on taking advantage of those places.

Right on the money honey! Came back for another birthday celebration if you can believe it, but did I order the filet? Helz yeah and it was cooked to «medium» perfection! In fact, everything was absolutely delish… here’s the order rundown: Fire Roasted Filet Mignon 8 oz. filet, rosemary roasted potatoes, wild mushrooms, asparagus, roasted garlic cabernet reduction. Calamari Fried calamari, pickled serrano pepper, lime-ginger aioli. Bang-Bang Tempura Shrimp Lightly battered, sweet-chili dipping sauce. Veal Saltimbocca Pan seared veal medallions, prosciutto di parma, asiago cheese, long stem artichokes, roasted garlic sauce, basil sage fettuccine. Tuscan Stew Braised tips of filet mignon, papardelle pasta, roasted carrots, tomatoes, onions, chianti wine reduction. Bottom line… this was the last sentence in my previous review: «Third times a charm? To Be Continued… can’t blame me for wanting to seek a little filet redemption…» BOOM! Fliet redemption fulfilled!

We come here frequently and tonight there was an acoustic performance to our surprise. It was amazing and definitely added to the great food! Myself and my husband always get the lobster bisque(definitely recommend) and rotate pasta dishes! We recommend this restaurant to anyone and if the performer will be back, I suggest going to listen while you eat!!! No less than 5 stars!!!

where the customer is never right. i used to go there twice a week for sushi. i have recommended them for SEVERAL baby showers, weddings & other parties. everyone there knew my name, yet if they ever made a mistake on the bill or with my order… they never corrected it or took it off the bill or even apologized. they embarrassed me more than once, as i was the one who recommended them. last time… there was no seating left at the bar & they always refuse to give happy hour pricing if you sit anywhere else. they also no longer care to try and get your order in before the 6pm cut off when happy hour is over.

Definitely a Miss… Soup was good, not great. Meal came out and had spent a little too much time under the heat lamp… finished meal… had to ask to see a dessert menu… ordered the crème brûlée’ …was under cooked and runny on both… in the midst of eating dessert and conversing, the waitress stands the check up right between us instead of laying it on the table and not blocking our view of each other. As we were finishing our drinks, the bus team comes and starts to clear EVERYTHING off the table, from out to in. I have never felt more rushed to leave… WILLDEFINITELYNOTRUSHTOCOMEBACK!!! For the price, there are much better venues in which to spend my money.

$ 40 for a special steak dinner, that was not so special. Very small caesar salad that was not so special either. I had a stuffed salmon that was not so special. Overpriced, and sushi? I think this place has an identity problem and wants to rip people off also.

I consistently have a great meal here but then again always order the same thing. The sushi is probably the best in town but incredibly overpriced. The ambiance, service and food doesn’t seem to quiet justify the prices. I give the food 5 stars but the price brings it down to 3.

This my 3rd time at this restaurant. My other 2 experiences have been wonderful however this time I was greatly disappointed. I have a gluten intolerance which manager said they were able to adapt to my needs however when talking to my server by adapting they really meant making you feel awful and awkward about asking questions. The server was rude the entire night. She gave my soy sauce which was not gluten free and when I asked her if it was her response was«we don’t have GF soy sauce». If I didn’t ask I was have ate it and been very sick. When I brought this up to her she slammed my fork on the table and took my plate. She even went as far as filling my husbands drink and not mine. Food was fab service awful!

I had dinner here tonight, and was quite pleased. We had a reservation and upon entering were told it would just be another minute, which it was. We were then led through the restaurant to one of their side/back rooms. The restaurant itself is pretty large, and has an open sushi kitchen for patrons to gander at. Right as we were sat we were overwhelmed by the noise of an infant whining/crying as well as a group of elderly woman yelling at the person next to them. Yes, full on yelling. It was quite annoying, but obviously not the restaurants fault. Joanna greed us within a minute or so and told us the specials and took our drink orders. She was very nice an accommodating throughout the meal. The Food: We ordered the calamari as an app and it wasn’t very good. Quite bland actually. They had no flavor, and the dipping sauce they give you was very similar.(flavorless) I then ordered 2 oysters. 1 east coast and 1 west coast. The west coast oyster had some flavor, but it wasn’t anything spectacular. mostly like a clam. However, the east coast oyster was very large and had an amazing taste. I’d recommend getting some of them if you ever visit. My g/f ordered the Tuscan Stew and was very fond of it. Said it was delicious. As for myself, I ordered the Cajun Jambalaya and I’m glad I did. It was one of the best meals I’ve ever eaten, really. Lots of chicken, sausage and shrimp and just the right amount of spice. The portion sizes for both meals were very big. We ate a lot of it, but had to take a lot home too. We will be having it for dinner tomorrow i’m sure. Overall, a good experience. especially after the screaming baby and elderly vacated. We will definitely be back. maybe for Valentines day? Check this place out for sure.

Gave it a four, but the prices and temperamental service probably earns it a 3.5. Gorgeously prepared and delicious food. I have been here 3 times now. The first two times, I was blown away with the sushi, service, and my entrée. The third time I visited however, made me reconsider the 5 star I felt they had originally deserved. Poor poor POOR service. My drink was rarely refilled and I felt ignored by the entire waitstaff the entire night. The food was still great and I will most likely still visit here again and recommend this place to friends. But I will not do so without warning them of the one night my service was so poor, I was upset with paying the exorbitant prices. For 15 – 30 dollars an entrée, I expect good service no matter what. Two out of three isn’t a GREAT ratio. But it deserves another chance. Will update this review when I visit again.

Very delicious! Terra Nova defies it’s Unilocal reviews. Usually a 3.5 restaurant would not capture my attention like this one has. My mother and I came to NJ from Pittsburgh to meet my girlfriend’s family– and after snobbishly flexing my Unilocal muscles and arguing over the place we would go to– we decided to hit Terra Nova based on my girlfriend’s mother(maybe soon my mother in laws recommendation) I’m not positive what I got– but it was very filling garlic pesto sauce, asparagus, and mussels. I had a blast and the majority of the food looked really good. A little pricey– but that’s New Jersey for you. The ambience was nice gave a nice chill vibe to it. Service was a tad slow, but nothing to complain about. Good food and nice ambience gets this place a 4⁄5.

Terra Nova was a pleasant surprise — they offer solid food and drinks. Sushi was delicious. The bartenders and ambiance were great, too. We’ll be back!

Excellent family place but also has a good atmosphere for dates and catching up with friends. All the food I’ve had(on three separate occasions including NYE party) was very good — no complaints! The staff knows the menu, wine list and drink specials really well so if in doubt ask for their recommendations!

Oddly enough, Terra Nova is one of the best options for sushi in the South Jersey area. Make sure to stop over here during happy hour to get half off the sushi and bar menu. Their options for specialty rolls are unique and change from time to time to offer plenty of interesting combinations to try. Personally I prefer their nigiri(listed on the menu as just sushi) the rice has the perfect texture every time with salmon as my go to for the option of fish.

Terra Nova has a really… interesting concept going on. In general, the food is Mediterranean inspired — think Italian dishes, flatbreads, hummus and the like. You can get full pasta dishes, steaks, seafood and… sushi. WHAT? I was apprehensive, but was assured by my tablemates that the sushi was worth ordering. So I did — a Northeast roll and a Tuna Amazing roll. The Northeast roll was great — filled with a truly giant shrimp, avocado and topped with crab(really krab, but whatever). The Tuna Amazing roll kind of wasn’t amazing — it promised me tuna, avocado and a topping of spicy tuna. The tuna in the roll was pretty fresh but there wasn’t any spice and the whole thing was drowned in(and overwhelmed by) several sauces. A lighter hand on the sauce would really have helped here. Our table had a mix of different dishes — someone had a pasta, two others had seafood samplers(they looked amazing BTW) and someone else had a salad. The portions are definitely on the generous side — two people had soup and it was enough for a full meal. They’ve got a fairly comprehensive and decent wine list too, though I really would like to see some house sake on the menu since sushi is a focus.(They do have bottle options but the prices were steep) My dinner at Terra Nova is probably the first and only time I’ll get to eat sushi in an Italian villa-styled place, but honestly it really was decent. I don’t know that anything here will blow you away but the concept is fun and the food is solid.

Boyfriend took me here for Valentine’s Day… Delicious! Everything from the beginning to the end of the meal, which included dessert… Was so good. Their seafood sampler is great to start off with. It’s a little expensive here, so I’m glad we went during a special occasion. They also have a great happy hour which includes Saturdays. ½ off sushi! I was iffy about getting sushi from here… But it’s very good and well made.

I always have a good meal here, but it’s not one of those places where you’re going to leave being impressed. Maybe that’s just the foodie in me. I think the menu is interested. Run of the mill Italian(parm, piccata, Marsala, etc), with some upgraded items(carpaccio, wood grilled oysters), brick oven baked flatbreads, seafood, and sushi. Wait a minute– sushi? Yes! And about 50% of the menu is blah… the run if the mill Italian for example. But some of the fancy pants items are really good. Too bad the carpaccio was not one of them. Everything about it tasted great, but the meat was cut WAY too thick. The grilled oysters were good but overpowered by too much chili oil. I eat spicy things, but my mouth was on fire. We also had grilled mahi and filets this visit. Filet cooked perfect rare. And dinner friend’s cooked perfect medium. Entrees were good, but again not blown away. I posted a pic of the potatoes with our dinner. They were diced like you would get with breakfast. It was weird. The sushi is great. It’s probably worth it to just visit for happy hour, have a sushi dinner and some drinks. We shared a bottle of Pinot noir called Irony($ 42). Nice taste.

Sushi and drinks only :) $ 23.00 for 2 rolls and 6 pieces of ginormous sashimi(tuna & Salmon). Happy hour from 3 – 6 Monday– Saturday is amazing. Now, the only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it used to be the full sushi menu slashed in half, now its only certain rolls which is cool, but not as fun. Tuna, Salmon, and Eel are really the only fish on hand, so don’t go expecting Uni or Mackerel. The sushi is fantastic especially for the area, there are also $ 4.00 martini’s if you want to get your James Bond on. Try it, if you like it, invite me, maybe we’ll enjoy it together… LOL

We were really disappointed when we came for happy hour and every table was taken. And every seat for that matter. Our party had 8 girls. With no one getting up anytime soon we asked if they would honor their prices in the dining room, even though there was a sign saying they could not do this. We agreed to sit in the dining room and pay full price. Major loss of points. Our server was ok and didn’t really make us feel welcomed. Food was good but I thought very overpriced. Based on my experience I will not be back.
