So up until tonight this was one of my favorite places to eat. I went here at least a few times a month. Today however while I was finishing up eating a roach came crawling across my table. Needless to say I won’t be going back now.

My husband and I tried this place on a whim while spending one night in the area. I had a hunch it would be good because the parking lot was filled on a Wednesday night, mostly with locals and those from surrounding counties. I must admit the food was extremely fresh and tasty. I have eaten cheesy crab with onions and celery at every buffet I’ve ever visited, but the quality of Sakura’s blew me away! The hibachi was fantastic, and for the first time in my life, I went back for seconds at the sushi bar(sushi is really not my thing). Don’t expect a huge selection of sushi, but everything on that bar was fantastic. There were a few desserts we’ve never found on other buffets that were delightful. The ice cream selection was very good. The two of us ate to capacity and spent a total of 20! We have a new favorite to add to our Sevier County list.

I thought it was good but my boyfriend hated it. He got a lot of foods that were cold and weren’t supposed to be, but I love the sushi. Great California Roll not too much avocado or cucumber and had great texture. The rest of the food was ok for me but I give 4 stars be because the sushi was great

Inexpensive but Not much flavor to anything. Everyone is allowed to scoop their own ice cream including unaccompanied children. I didn’t try it for fear of too many germs. I’ve had much better Chinese buffet.

You should eat here in the weekends or Wednesday. When they are busy the food is really good. If they are slow or it’s an hour before closing its not going to be that great. The building is kind of old and run down, but I’ve been to worse places. The sushi is always good and the guy that makes it is friendly. You can buy food by the pound here if you don’t want to eat in.

We hit the buffet again yesterday and because there was a different, much more pleasant sushi maker, our experience was far getter. This is a real good value. The food is pretty good, including the sushi. The tables are a tad bit squeezed in but not terribly.

We went to this restaurant during smoky mountain journey stay. We were excited to find this chinese owned Japanese restaurant open on Christmas Day! It was very busy during the holiday evening. Plenty of food with good quality to choose from, very reasonable price compare to the price. Except the teriyaki and sushi station, the restaurant is more chinese style than Japanese, so does the taste:)

A great buffet in which you have the choice of sushi, hibachi or your normal buffet«staples» with some added new items that you don’t see at your average Chinese buffets. Was good food, great selection, only thing is don’t expect the super freshness of a sushi Barr but was still good

Steer clear of this place. The low price brought us in. Everything was horrible. I eat at Chinese buffets so I know what to expect and what is a standard. This place falls way short of any standard. I found one item on the entire buffet bar that was good. The hibachi was good, hard to mess up. But the guy doing the cooking had an old slobbed up polo on and had an attitude. Apparently he has several jobs. So when you go up and ring the bells he gets annoyed. Service was terrible. Selection terrible. Cleanliness terrible. Stay away.

Not many Asian restaurants are going to be 100%, but for a buffet, this place had a great selection. The sushi was being hand-rolled, there was a grill where your selection of vegetables was cooked to order, steamed shrimp with and without heads, and more ice cream flavors than most. The service left something to be desired, but we did fine. I’d recommend it especially if you are looking to get out of your resort for a change of scenery.

I wish I could give this place a good review because it’s family owned and they work hard but I honestly can’t. The food was not very good and barely warm. That is when it was actually refilled. After a few minutes of eating, the distinct smell of sewer gas came flowing through the dining room. I feel bad giving such a poor review but this little restaurant needs to do a lot of work to win my business back.

We’ve been visiting the Chinese restaurants in this location for 5 years now, and it never fails to disappoint. They have a good selection of 5 – 8 sushi rolls fresh on the buffet, with some tempura options. The two bars are filled with your typical Chinese fare, but some extra highlights like frog legs and coconut shrimp. Four soups, including Miso and fresh wontons, complete the meal. We’ve made this place a tradition for a reason.

The place is a little run down looking on the outside and not that easy to get to. Don’t let that deter you. We were seated promptly and courteously. The buffet has a good selection of Asian dishes. The General TSO has nice heat and spice, there 5 soups to choose from, the spring rolls are light and crunchy, and sesame chicken is very nice. There is also a pretty good sushi bar with variety of sushi, eel and sashimi and a Mongolian style grill which looked good however we stayed with the buffet. The aromas from the Mongolian grill were quite tantalizing though! Dessert buffet was decent and not just the usual soft serve ice cream and Sara Lee cakes. I’d definitely recommend Sakura to anyone. The cost for our 2 dinners was quite affordable. Solid 4 stars all the way!

We are on vacation and were craving a Chinese buffet. We found this restaurant and headed in. I felt like we personally insulted or offended the«hostess» by walking in and trying to give them business. We let it slide and continued to witness not only poor service, but it seemed like everyone was ticked off and had attitude. The good news is that the food was actually really good and really fresh. They were busy which is good at a buffet because the good is constantly being brought out new.

My wife and I really enjoyed out visit here. The sushi was made fresh and there was a wide variety of choices. The price was good for what was served. We did try some of the Chinese Buffet but mostly ate sushi. I usually stay away from the sushi at a buffet but theirs was better than good and for the price we paid it was a bargain. The dishes we tried from the buffet were good as well. I think it is always important to visit any buffet when they are busy. This way they are constantly bringing out fresh food. We will be back.

We should have just walked out! This place was so dirty inside… and I am sure they don’t meet local codes. An inspection would be welcomed here. The workers were ok. The owner… nothing short of RUDE!!! WE will never go back!

While the building doesn’t look so appealing, if you want a Chinese buffet, this is the place to go. The selection is for the most part from your average Chinese buffet, but the place stays so busy at lunch that they keep rolling out fresh food. They have a guy manning a grill that makes for some great stir-fry with whatever you want in it; fresh fish and sushi as well! The fried rice was really good, especially for it being a buffet. Great teriyaki chicken too, along with a few other good types like General Tso’s and bourbon chicken. I cannot give it 5 stars because I feel like the experience could have been better than it was. Maybe it’s the fact that the worked seemed more like prisoners, bummed me out a bit. Overall, I definitely got my money’s worth from this place. I will probably go again next time I’m in the area for a few days.

By far the best buffet in town. Great price for the value. I was skeptical at first but I pretty much just go there for the sushi bar and some of the side veggies dishes. The meat and poultry dishes looked ok but i did not try any. The soup station looked just Ok and some of them seemed as though they sat there for a long time. I could be wrong but some didn’t look good to me. The décor is a little bit outdated however the staff is prompt and friendly while serving. I think this place is well worth your visit.
