My wife and I purchased a 1940’s fixer upper (#1940fixerupper) and we shopped around for a wood burning insert to go into the fireplace the house has. Of course we picked a company that had only two installers in the area. We got quotes from both. This family run business had the best quote by hundreds of dollars. However, I’ve learned a long time ago it’s not just about the cost of something. We will gladly pay a little extra to get top notch customer service. We got just that! There was a mix up in the insert. The one we wanted was one number off from the one that was ordered. Easy mistake. The wrong unit was installed (they look almost identical by the way) on the date and time agreed on — after I had to back them up two weeks do to settlement issues. Wife and I were so happy. Got a fire going and started to read the booklet on the stove and that’s when we realized it was wrong. However, what happened next is awesome.
I emailed Kim to let her know. She called me within about 10 minutes. We discussed our options and we said we didn’t want to keep this unit because we felt it just didn’t heat well enough. She said not a problem. I’ll order you the hybrid version and get you in the install schedule as soon as we know when it’s coming in. About three weeks later they were out getting the first unit out and replacing it. Billy and Chris did a great job with both installs. They really know their stuff.
I would recommend this business to everyone who’s thinking about adding or replacing a wood stove, insert, pellet stove etc. Friendliest group of people I’ve met.

Absolutely one of the worst expenses dealing with this store. They never return calls, do not follow through on part orders, always have an excuse why they can’t deliver their services and on top of that the owner’s wife is rude and unprofessional. When I drive by I can’t believe there are any cars in their lot. My gas stove was out of order for 2 months last winter waiting for them to fix it. Belair came out in 1 day and had it up and running.

This is a very busy place without a lot of staff so its sometimes hard to get them on the phone, but we ordered our gas log set and were told it would take 2 – 3 weeks for delivery and then they would schedule the installation. Their estimate was accurate, they called us to schedule delivery as promised, and 4 weeks from placing our initial order, they arrived on schedule to install our logs. The installer was extremely professional and explained how to operate everything. They are a small family business, so if you have some patience, shop local and support them! Their prices were extremely reasonable, the owner is very nice, and we are very happy with our gas logs.

I’m surprised this place has any business at all! One of the worst buying experiences ever. We ordered a gas fireplace for our screened porch and we waited for over two months! The first one
was destroyed by a fork lift on delivery. The second one was never delivered. The woman who is supposedly the owners wife, was rude, never returned call to me, my wife, or our contractor. She was always flippant when we went to the store, and I’ve only read bad reviews of the business. And we live in the area! Is she ignorant enough to think word will not get out?
