I took my 2007 Passat 2.0T to Sinister for some preventative maintenance. Bill had the misfortune of informing me that what I was trying to prevent had already occurred, and the bill could be 10 times what I was anticipating. He took the time to explain what had happened, what was the best course of action, and why. He even showed me the damaged parts and explained the parts failures after the work had been performed.
These guys are the best; top notch customer service and first rate craftsmanship. You won’t find a shop with more expertise as well as such competitive rates.
I just moved to this area and am so glad I found this shop — mechanics who really know Volkswagens are hard to find. I know when I drop my car off here it’s in good hands. A+!

Bill with Sinister Autoworks is the guy to go to with your VW or Audi. He’s VERY knowledgeable (Ok, he’s an encyclopedia), and a straight shooter about what to do — or not, with car repairs.

Bill, the owner/​mechanic has been great with our car. We bought a 2007 VW passat that needed tons of repairs right away. After 3 other garages that would «fix» problems, only to have them appear again weeks later, we tried Sinister. Bill stuck with our repair until he completely fixed the source of the problem. He did a great job on a complex, time-​consuming problem that other mechanics did not want to deal with.
I could go on, but bottom line is that he is thorough, honest, and very knowledgeable.
Also, he has great customer service skills — friendly, flexible, and willing to explain things.

Wow. Bill did an amazing job. I went in with headlight issues and ten minutes later everything was fixed. He did a great job of explaining what went wrong and how he fixed it. He even found a issues with my battery I didn’t know about and tweaked it. It was a perfect experience. I highly recommend this shop.

Amazing guy. Legit. Knows what he’s doing. Will not con or rip you off. I own a BMW 525xi and have a hard time trusting mechanics with my car; esp. the pricing bc I’m a girl and I tend to get jipped. I have received and witnessed to others, his genuine generosity. He checked out a computer glitch in my console for free and fixed it. He told me it was something simple and small and did not bill me. He also topped my oil off bc it kept making the computer go off spontaneously. Check this place out. Worth it. Can’t rave enough abt this place and the guy that runs it. Will be taking my car here for everything.
