History

Established in 2000.

When the late Bob Batson started building custom rods in his living room in 1980, it marked the beginning of a new era for the family name. As an avid fisherman, he was motivated by his angling passion to create fishing rods of uncommon quality and craftsmanship. From these humble beginnings, the company grew to become Batson Enterprises, Inc. in the year 2000. Currently run by CEO Bill Batson, our company is enjoying non-​stop growth propelling us into becoming the largest wholesale rod blank supplier and component manufacturer/​supplier under one label in the United States. With clients ranging from individual rod builders, to huge global companies, our size and experience makes it easy to meet the varying needs of our broad customer base. Retaining a large inventory allows the Batson team to ship products out to customers in a timely fashion. The son of the late Bob Batson, Bill was exposed to his father’s passion for the outdoors and rod building at an early age. Growing up as a young man in Hawaii, he loved to not only fish, but also assist his father in creating high quality, one of a kind custom rods. His passion and excitement never skipped a beat, and today Bill is fortunate enough to make a living involving his passions. As the CEO of Batson Enterprises, he runs the company with the same values, vision, and love that his father had for the industry. With over 20 years of experience within the fishing industry, Bill has the knowledge, experience, and positive attitude that constantly earns him new and repeat customers. He is truly blessed to not only be a part of a great business, but to work with all of the quality people that make Batson Enterprises what it is today!
