We were very surprised to see that this hole in the wall, strip mall sushi place was so good. Our favorite spot was closed so we went out on a limb and tried Oya. It was fantastic and very reasonably priced. Great lunch and dinner specials! We will be back time and again!

Hole in the wall but worth the stop! Owned by a couple that is so sweet and welcoming. The lunch and dinner specials are awesome and for 7 and 9 $, you really get a good amount of food. I love their Mexican roll and the shrimp shumai is great! The sushi has an amazing fresh taste, and is made right in front of you.

I love this place ! I am addicted. I had only tried sushi a couple times, once on a cruise and once from Publix(YUCK). Gang from work was going there, so I went. I love the California roll and the tempura shrimp roll. Great prices too! At this time, they have a $ 6.95 lunch special where you get two selections plus a side. They have the best cucumber and krab salad as one of the sides. Great dressing on that salad. If I don’t go there once a week, I get sad. The gang I go with eat all kinds of sushi. I like the cooked item rolls.

Once or twice a month my husband and I, along with a friend go out and try to find a new restaurant. Last night our intent was to try out the new Osaka’s sushi and Thai. When we arrived we were very surprised to find this location was closed on a Sunday. We decided just to drive up Park Blvd and stop at the first Sushi place we could find, which led us to Oya’s sushi. When we pulled up we all looked at each other wondering if we really wanted to go in. There were NO other cars in the parking lot and it looked like a «tiny hole in the wall» type of place. Despite our skepticism we decided to go in. Once inside you could see just how small and empty the place really was. Not only that it was extremely quiet. NO music or sounds at all. Still skeptical we sat down and decided to try it and boy am I glad we did! The waitress that came to our table spoke very little English but she was very polite and understood everything that we ordered. My husband and I decided to split a Chicken Teriyaki bowl for $ 7.99. That chicken bowl is one of the best meals I’ve ever had at a sushi place! The chicken was tender and juicy with the sauce being very sweet and smokey. The broccoli and green beans were nice and crisp and the rice was perfectly cooked. Next our table ordered 7 rolls of sushi. We had the California, Tampa Roll, Volcano roll and a few others that our friend had ordered. We ended up waiting almost 45 minutes for the sushi and it made me glad we ordered the chicken bowl first. The sushi was very good. Some fancy and some very plain. All in all it was fresh and delicious. Our favorite ended up being the Volcano. It was fresh and baked with a bunch of yummy gooeyness! From the outside(and the inside) this place doesn’t look like much but I am telling you to go out and try it! All of the food was amazing and the prices on the sushi are some of the lowest we’ve ever seen. We will definitely be going back in the future.

There are quite a few sushi competitors in the area. This place isn’t on the high end of Japanese cuisine. With that said, I thought it was worth the price we paid. The rolls are small, but it was only $ 10. You also get miso and an appetizer. I would visit this place again in the future. It was tasty and worth another visit :)

I had the three roll lunch special. All three rolls were OK, nothing special. The lady who served me was very nice and the service was excellent.

Wonderfully cheap and decent sushi. The restaurant isn’t the prettiest, but this place is still awesome. You can get the dinner special with three rolls(18 pieces), miso soup and a side item for 10 bucks. I normally get tempura vegetables. I definitely recommend. Get take out!

THEBESTSUSHI! 3 rolls, 1 side and miso soup $ 9.95 –and NO I don’t work for them. LOL! Seriously, this is a Mom and Pop hole in the wall that is super clean, inexpensive and the owners are sweethearts. I had friends who told me about this place and have been going once a week since. Best kept secret in town!

Probably the best quality sushi in the area. Its also easily the cheapest too! This probably will be my go to sushi spot from now on. I highly recommend the 10 dollar dinner special. Comes with 3 rolls, side, and miso soup!

I was so pleasantly surprised at how good the sushi is at Oya! The prices are so low, it’s hard to believe how high the quality is. The sushi is the freshest I’ve ever eaten and I’m so glad they are so close to where i live. The owner’s are the nicest couple who used to own large restaurants in California and Massachusetts and decided to move here and keep it small. Lucky me :) I have no idea what Jason D was talking about…

Stopped in for sushi to go after getting my car washed. Uninspired interior with wobbly tables and poor lighting. Staff said it would take 10 minutes. Took closer to 20. 10 minutes later when I was home I opened it to find 6 pieces instead of the standard 8 at any other sushi place for a dollar cheaper than I paid here. It was nearly inedible. I had two pieces before I threw the rest out. Do not recommend this place to anyone.
