The bread was fresh and tasty; rest of the meal was not. Cheap ingredients and overpriced for what you get. Figure $ 8 for a sandwich which I can make at home with better ingredients for $ 2. Unfortunately, I am traveling and didn’t have that option. There is a huge billboard off the hwy, so you think: hey this place must be special. Heck no! This is a 60’s sub shop without the quality to back it up. Even the fountain drink was a watered down tasteless mess. Avoid, you’ve been warned!

The service was warm and friendly, but this has got to be the worst sandwich I have ever eaten. The portions are skimpy and the ingredients are low-quality. Save your money for anything else. This just isn’t worth it.

The service is second to none. Family business with a friendly atmosphere. A must see if you are passing through.

Stop in here for lunch today mostly based on the strong reviews from Unilocal. The food was very good, not great, but a million times better than McDonalds or some other fast food place. We got a grilled cheese for our 6 year old that was well done and came in a small red plastic basket. My wife got turkey sandwich which she said was great. It came with fries that, although standard frozen fries, were prepared better than most places. I got a steak and cheese that was also good. The onion rings that it was served with with very good as well. The help behind the counter was prompt and courteous. The cleanliness left a little to be desired, but shouldn’t keep you from visiting. The health rating was 95⁄100. They had 2 signs in there that you don’t see very much in the area. One said that you could only get 1 refill on your soda, after that refills were a dollar. The other one(actually they had 2 of these near the front door) said no public restroom. Neither one of these things is unreasonable, but it gave me a less than warm and cozy feeling when I first walked in. Overall, I would recommend this place as a good lunch option.

We stopped here for a quick lunch after shopping at the outlets. Although there is a lot of fast food in the immediate vicinity, we found Uncle Bills here on Unilocal and decided to give it a try. When you first walk in, the place looks a little older and has an eclectic vibe. Don’t let the setting fool you, the sandwiches are delicious! My wife and I each ordered the Granny special lunch combo(fries and a drink). It was an Italian sandwich with the perfect ratio of meat, cheese, and extras(definitely order it «all the way»). The bread was fresh and soft. In the future the only change I would make would be to replace the fries with the 12″ version of the sandwich. Fries are fries, but the sandwich is obviously why people are visiting Uncle Bill.

I don’t even know what to say. This little place was just on our path to the coast so we stopped. I anticipated a dirty little spot with a crappy sandwich and a questionable cup of tea… but options are limited in these parts so I figured I should give it a whirl. They were PACKED. Had live music, the sweetest staff and really it felt like we stepped into a time warp. In the end, the subs were succulent. Just like sub shops were years ago. No subway style dry bread here. This place is tasty, surprising in a dozen ways, and worth your time.

No matter if you go in during the crazy lunch rush or during the late afternoon hours, you always get good hot food, fast, and friendly. Honestly, while I haven’t tried many of their sandwiches, their hot dogs are amazing.
