If you like buying a bike for more than it is worth, Kent Powersports is the place for you. We have given them chance after chance to have our business for the past three new motocross bikes we have ended up purchasing in the last last two and a half years. As we are gearing up to buy another motocross bike the salesman, Chris, has once again been less than thrilled to try and make a deal happen. We dealt with him originally three years ago when we bought a brand new Raptor ATV, but looking back, we paid retail plus ttl for that thing! (Shame on us)
He is the only sales person we have ever worked with and I’m really not sure why we keep giving him chances to have our business. Even his text messages are careless and pathetic. His last message to my husband today when we asked if he could get us the bike we want was: «Nope».
Do yourself a favor and buy from Alamo Cycle Plex if you value your time, money, and respect.

I have been a customer for years and they have always taken great care of my husband and. If you are looking to buy a Victory, this is the place. The staff is knowledgable and exceptionally helpful. Just ask for James and he will make sure you get the best deal possible.

I have tried on several occasions to give this place my business. I work and live in the Selma area close to this dealership and service facility. I have a Harley Davidson and a Runabout that I have tried to service here. Every time I call or visit they treat me as I was a bourdon and that they had to much business to need mine. My latest run in is the reason for this review; I was told they didn’t have the tools for a very simple repair (impeller pump replacement) that requires 3 different size wrenches, a large flat nose screw driver and abut 1 hour and ½ or so labor. How do I know this… I went home and did it myself. Here I am someone begging to spend money on multiple occasions being told we don’t need your business in more ways than one. I would highly recommend you find another place to service and purchase your toys. As every time I have tried to purchase or service mine they never seam to need my business.

These guys really helped us out. We were headed out of town and realized we needed new tires for our 4 wheeler. As soon as the tires arrived on the truck, they immediately installed them. We were able to leave on time!!!

I recently bought a used Suzuki M109r and had a tolerable experience. It is the same rif-​raf you get any time you try to buy a motocycle but it’s still a hassle I hate dealing with. They had a nice used bike with low miles that I did really like. I had a certain price I wanted to stick with and I told them that right off the bat but they kept trying to haggle for more money.
Eventually, I got what I wanted, so I thought, and went through the purchase ritual… loan terms, financing options, GAP, extended warranty. I got a great finance rate and my loan terms were shorter than I was expecting so that was nice. I was going to stay away from the extended warranty because they are pretty generic but the wife said I had to or no bike so of course I bit. This is where the ‘so I thought’ part comes in from above… I was told I could do a 5 year extended warranty on the bike but when I went to sign, they said it was only 4 years. I still did the purchase because I really like the bike but it is aggravating when they can’t get their stuff straight.
I also tried to haggle for a free helmet or some gloves but they were not having it. In the past when I bought a bike, the dealership would usually throw a little something in but not here. I had everything already, from owning previous bikes, but it would still have been a nice gesture.
The last thing, and probably the biggest, is once I got it home and did some research on the bike I found some interesting information. This particular bike is notorious for the front motor mounts being weak and wearing quickly. Although it was only a 4 year old bike with low miles, it was apparent the motor mounts were already worn. I took it to them the very next morning to see about having them replaced and they were emphatic that there was nothing wrong. I even showed them what I was talking about and was told that was normal. One of the mechanics actually rides the same type of bike so I looked at his and saw they, too, were worn but not replaced. It isn’t a hard fix and doesn’t take much time so I just left and will do it myself but I hate being treated like I don’t know anything and they have all the answers. I’ve been doing maintenance in the military for 15 years so I know a little something about preventative maintenance.
I had MUCH better customer service at dealerships when I was stationed in San Diego but the San Antonio dealerships do not have the same dedication or appreciation. I expected it, since the riding season is pretty long here, but I guess my expectations were too high. I see the Harley dealerships are always doing something in the parking lots but I just can’t see myself riding one. Maybe if they make a performance machine close to what the M109r can do I may reconsider.
