Garfield’s Restaurant & Pub

Garfield’s gets one star because our server was nice. So disappointed with my meal. Usually the sandwiches and salads are fine. Not today. The salads were watery. The turkey melt sandwich was almost inedible. The «turkey» looked like a wafer-​thin slice of tan tissue paper. The bacon was undercooked. The bread was soggy and cold. I will not eat here again.

This place screams «average chain restaurant». One of the other reviewer’s comparison to Applebees is apt. The waitress was the overly friendly sort who props herself on the booth/​chair while she takes your order. There was nothing wrong with the food, but the portions were on the small side. It’s a small town with limited choices, so maybe this isn’t such a bad option?

Just left, first time eating there amazing service, wish I would have gotten the waitresses name. Drinks were never empty, refills to go. Orders were correct and food was delicious. My loaded tater skins were a little over cooked and old. Water glass had some food on it. Not a big deal though. Definitely going to stop again next time through. On Sunday’s kids eat for $.99 and a magician comes in at 5 pm.

I usually like Garfield’s. But my past 2 experiences were not so good. This past time waited forever for a hostess, ended up being seated by the bartender. Then it took forever for our meals, and our check. It wasn’t even that busy for a Wednesday evening. And the food was nothing special for $ 40. Def not going again in the evening.

Is there a way to give this *No Stars* ?? I’m so sad. We picked this place over Denny’s…I think we should have gone there instead. As the first reviewer of this place said, the wait can be a little long during the dinner rush. We waited about 10 minutes to be seated (not bad at all), we had a wonderful, sweet waitress, Michelle, who took our order. 30 minutes later, we were still waiting. Come to find out, the people across from us had been waiting 45 minutes for their food :(Michelle was so sweet and apologetic letting us know that there was some «confusion in the kitchen». Oh, my gosh. Finally, our food came but we had to have them put it in boxes so we could go. My salad was a joke. Paid $ 7.99 for a small handful of lettuce. The chicken was moist, which was nice… my husband and grandfather’s Haddock (that day’s special) was very, very salty and I ended up sick from the food. Maybe they were having a bad day, not sure. But one thing is for sure, we aren’t ever going back. I LOVE to eat! Just so sad that the one chance they had to impress me fell really short.
My husband didn’t even want to pay for the food (we did though). I’m sure there are plenty of people with fabulous experiences. I say, take your chance and make up your own mind. We did. We have.

I love coming to Garfields! This restaurant is amazing! The staff is always friendly. The food is hot, fresh, and fantastic. Everything from burgers and steaks, to pasta’s and seafood. A full bar as well. This place is kind of like an Applebees, but better! Now, if there is one thing I must say bad about this place, it is the wait for food when it is the dinner rush. You could be waiting about 30 minutes for your food, but its worth it. Plus, you can literally draw on the tables while you wait. Great restaurant I always recommend it!
