Tommy’s Tunes

My husband and I chose Tommy’s Tunes as it was one our venue’s preferred venues and because they were well rated. We worked with Steven, who was friendly and easy to work with. We researched on multiple websites to find the top rated DJs at Tommy’s Tunes and then submitted our request for Dominick as our DJ. Luckily, we were assigned Dominick for our wedding. He did a fantastic job. He was able to properly read the crowd and knew what types of songs would get people up and dancing. I provided him a long list of songs, but I told him that I trusted him to choose whichever songs he felt were appropriate. The majority of our guests danced and they danced up until the end of the night! Even the older guests got up and danced! We also had a jazz guitarist for the happy hour. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to attend the happy hour due to photos but heard from many that the jazz guitarist was great. Also, we had a photographer go around and take «zap photos», which were then displayed on two screens. The zap photos and screens were a nice touch. We would highly recommend Tommy’s Tunes and especially DJ Dominick.

Very disappointed in the service! The messed up the music throughout our wedding and the system crashed at the end and the DJ never played our last song, instead it was the same song that played three time in a row and then played a song on our do not play list!

The MC was pretty good but that is the only positive I can say. My wife and I had out wedding in long island and we booked these guys. Wish we would have went with a band. The DJ was about 20 and apparently not very skilled with reading the crowd to play appropriate music to get folks dancing. The Na Na is def not a song that was put on the playlist that my wife and I picked out. Despite several request to play more 80s and Italian music the DJ continued to play Rap and other pop garbage throughout the reception. Also the light add on are a complete and utter rip off. The snow flake hologram was distorted and showed up on about ¹⁄₈^th of the dance floor. My advice if you go with these guys is to pick all of your music out completely and hand the list to the DJ that night. But then if your doing that save the cash and just play Pandora through the speakers. Will be a better option!

I was very dissapointed with Tommy Tunes! I read good reviews about them thats why i chose tommy tunes for my wedding! The selection of music they played sucked!!! The MC Frank sucked big time! He never encouraged the crowd to dance! I would not recommend Tommy Tunes to anyone! You have been warned!

Best service EVER!
My husband and I saw Tommy’s Tunes do a great job at a few of our other friends weddings. We loved their work but originally hired an MC that could speak Cantonese and English for some of my relatives. However, our previous MC cancelled on us One Month before the wedding. We were pissed. Luckily, we remembered Tommy Tunes and they were great enough to fill in with such short notices. We had MC Joe and he did a great job of introducing everyone. Luckily most of our family and friends were dancers. The DJ had them on the floor all night. He played a great mix and Joe barely had to say anything else the rest of the night. Couldn’t have been happier with their service. We also got the open air photo booth with them. It was a great choice because we were able to fit A LOT of people in each shot.

I could not tell you how absolutely beyond satisfied we are with our DJ, Dominick, who really did everything plausible and then some to make our wedding incredibly special. We had retained Tommy’s Tunes to provide DJ services for our small wedding of around 70 guests. We are so lucky to have made this choice. We had met with Dominick about a month prior to the wedding and were impressed with how organized he is. He was friendly, and genuinely interested to make our day truly special. There is a form for everything and basically all our requests and specifications are done in writing ahead of time. We are really picky and detail oriented by nature, so by the time our forms were filled out we were concerned that no one would be able to follow them. Dominic did not disappoint, and obviously spent a considerable amount of time preparing so that the night went off without a hitch. He was friendly, likeable, and most of all incredibly capable and organized. The guests loved the music and everything that we wanted was done the way that we wanted down to the final detail. Every song that we wanted was played and everything was seamless. A month after the wedding, we still look back on our DJ as the second best choice we made that day. He played every song that we requested. So detail oriented and incredibly nice.

Hired Tommy Tunes for our wedding… they were very professional and easy to work with throughout the entire process. The MC Dan was great. My one complaint was the DJ played too much Top 40/​played out songs and only played half the songs we specifically requested.

THE company to use for a wedding or other such large party. They really know how to get the crowd going and keep them going. Extremely talented DJS and MCS always make for a great event. Highly recommended.

I highly recommend Tommy Tunes! After my cousin’s wedding they were an absolute MUST for my wedding! Boy was it worth it! At one point there was only ²⁰⁄₂₂₅ guests still in their seats! Their professionalism is amazing! Every email you send them or phone call, you get an immediate response. The percussionist added an extra flare to every song. The DJ and MC quickly got a feel of the crowd and the bride/​groom and got everyone dancing! Everyone raved about the wedding and our fabulous DJ. I am truly thankful for Tommy Tunes! I highly suggest Tommy Tunes and will continue to spread the good word about their company! Thank you Tommy, Espo, DJ Dwayne, Percussionist Pat! You made my wedding memorable!

We hired Tommy’s Tunes for our wedding a few weeks ago. They did an outstanding job! Our MC, Dan, worked with us through the planning process– he was very organized, listened to our requests and needs and on our wedding day: delivered! Dan is also very funny and created a very enjoyable atmosphere for our guests during our wedding.
We also used TT for a string trio for our ceremony and a steel drum for our cocktail hour– both were fantastic!

went to a wedding they were the entertainment and they ROCK! Play a great mix and had the floor packed all night. The MC Joey had a great personality and kept getting out there and dancing with the guests.

I wish I could give a higher rating because this company was amazing. My husband and I booked them for our wedding after many recommendations from family and friends. My brother used them for his wedding this past October and it was not such a great experience. I called and spoke to Tommy and expressed my concerns about what had happened and asked to meet my MC prior to the wedding. He said it was not a problem and we met Joey within the next day or so. He made us feel completely at ease and assured us that he would be there for us from start to finish. Words cannot express how amazing he was. He stayed on the dance floor the whole time and kept the party moving without a hiccup the whole day. Dominic our DJ was great as well. The music never stopped and the transitions were seamless. We were so happy with how everything was handled the entire time. I would definitely recommend Tommy’s Tunes to anyone looking for a great company to work with.

One word… Amazing!!! From the first time we met with Tommy we knew we chose the right company! They had our guests on the dance floor from beginning to end! We are so happy with our zap photos and the montage. The photos were ready just days after the wedding and they look like professional pictures! They truly show what a great time our guests had. I would recommend getting the zap photos to everyone. They put them on a disc and a nice case with your picture on it. Plus the guests enjoyed seeing their pictures on the screens throughout the day. We had a special request to do something for my husbands mother who passed away a few months before the wedding and Frank our MC got our vision and made it go exactly how we wanted. Frank was so awesome. Everyone had such wonderful things to say about him. He kept the party going! The DJ played many of our song requests and played an excellent variety of music to meet everyone’s music interests. We even personalized our garter toss to the Islanders goal song and they played the cd we gave them it was awesome! We are so happy that we chose Tommy’s Tunes for our wedding entertainment and we will highly recommend them to everyone we know!

Tommy’s Tunes DJ’d my husband’s 50^th birthday party, and did a wonderful job ! Everyone had a great time.
At our meeting with the owner, we went over who our guests would be, the tone of the party and layout of the venue to make sure we were on the same page with the music and MC duties.
The music was spot on — in the background during cocktails and dinner, and a great mix to get people dancing afterward (but not so overbearing that those who chose to sit and chat couldn’t hear each other).
We opted to show a photo montage set to music, and it was a real highlight of the night! Photographer John put it together according to our specifications, then at the party took pictures of our guests having a ball and displayed those on flat screens throughout the night. A perfect combination of posed and candid shots ensured all guests were photographed.
Our family has used Tommy’s Tunes for innumerable events: many birthday parties ranging from a «sweet 16» to an 80^th; corporate events; backyard tent parties and more.
We highly recommend calling Tommy’s Tunes for your next event!

Would not recommend. Attended a New Years Eve 2015 event at the Watermill Caterers. The music selection was horrid with over an hour of music wasted to cater to his handful of his personal guests at a personal table. while hundreds sat an watched. The sound system was atrocious, even the lighting system was non existent with two dull little lights. (i’ve seen better at Guitar Center.)
Last years festivities were light years better than this DJ. Go else where, i know we will next year if they are there.

Do not recommend! The music selection was terrible, and the volume was way too loud. No current/​popular songs were played, and it seemed like he tailored his music selections to his own taste and did not focus on entertaining the crowd. Also, his song transitions were not smooth as he took a long time to transfer between songs and it was not well timed.
His lack of dj skills ruined a night of fun dancing. At New Years Eve party I expected much higher quality from the dj to carry the party into the new year, but instead my group left disappointed and frustrated with the music selections and his lack of professionalism.

Tommy’s Tunes DJ’d our wedding a few years back and I STILL remember how amazing they were. They played EVERY song on our playlist (most DJ’s usually forget 1 or 2 of them), EVERYONE was dancing and having an amazing time. The sinatra singer that they have, Gene, is amazing as well. He sang during dinner — everything was just amazing. No complaints whatsoever. I would hire them again in a heartbeat and recommend them to anyone!

Just had Tommy’s Tunes at our son’s wedding and they were outstanding. Still receiving comments 2 weeks later from our guests saying it was the best dance party ever. The music never stopped and neither did the dancing. They took requests in addition to our list and they definitely kept the party going. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM.

Had these guys DJ our wedding reception and they were fantastic — couldn’t have asked for better service. They came recommended by a family member and my husband and I were so happy with everything.
