Lazydays RV Resort

We have been to Lazy Days, in Tampa 5 times now over the years, and we think they are just great. Their facilities are always clean and their staff is always friendly. Where can you go camping and have your breakfast and lunches included in your cost to stay. We love them…

All I can say is, it’s like Disney Land for RV’s. Attention to detail is what they are all about. Our stay was just awesome. If you have not been don’t miss it. no one there will let you be disappointed.

We stayed at this ‘resort’ for four nights while attending their New Years Eve event with a Good Sam group that a friend belongs to. The resort area is clean and seems to be fairly well run, most of the employees are friendly and helpful, and the rest rooms and pool area are quite clean. I don’t have many issues with the grounds or the employees, but the New Years Eve event was very disappointing.
The band, on both the night of the 30^th and 31^st, played nothing but oldies. True, most of the people are older, but I felt like I was in a nursing home. The original plans were to have the band play until 9, believe it or not, but after they received justifiable complaints, they changed it to midnight. Well, the band was not happy, and it showed. Talk about low energy!
Our group couldn’t wait for midnight so we could call it a night.
Don’t think I’ll be ringing in any more New Year’s at Lazy Days!

After purchasing our first travel trailer, we stayed one night at this resort. This place is great, it has a huge screened pool with an adorable diner/​bar shaped like a RV, a nice playground, excellent laundry facilities, golf cart rental & a shuttle from here to the Lazydays sales facility that houses a big cafeteria style eatery. Right next to the interstate. Clean sites, just need more trees, in my opinion.

Great campground, use Lazydays for coach annual servicing, then go to campground. Very friendly, nice size lots, great pool and hottub. Large and small dogparks, burgers/​pub onsite, plus free breakfast and lunch at main facility with free trolley rides

Loved this park! Purchased our TT from LazyDays a year ago and came back to spend a couple of days wandering the Tampa/​St. Pete area. The staff is courteous, the service include two Front Porch (frugal) meals and a daily newspaper at your door The I-​10 Pub offers more food and beverage choices and is open to complement hours of the Front Porch. Amenities are well laid out and the pool is large enough to enjoy.

We stayed at Lazy Days for a month and loved it! The word «resort» in the title is true. They have a wonderful screen pool and jacuzzi area and a restaurant that is open 5 days per week. The fitness room was more than adequate. I especially liked the option to use a debit card in the laundry room in place of quarters. The sites are level. it is also very easy to access from the interstate.

Lazy Day has made this the ultimate resort for RV’s and structured campers that I’ve ever seen. Let’s start with the setup. Each parking area is paved, offers full sewer service, cable TV hookup, water, 60Amp service (rare for FL) WIFI and curb side trash pick up & newspaper service, all included for $ 30 a night! The facilities also host a huge family room that’s air conditioned with sack toss, billiards, ping pong and a kids play space called a Rally Center. In addition there’s a large outdoor covered lanai swimming pool, hot tub, showers, and outdoor tennis courts! Need more? There is a fitness center on site, restaurant serving breakfast and lunch (included for $ 10 per night more) and a bar/​café in the Rally Center opening at 3p. Next door is the Lazy Days RV Sales/​Service center that touts being the largest in America. So now you know the property is massive, no worries you can rent golf carts or bicycles to get you around at a daily rate. What more could be offered? Good question. Check them out and see for yourself. BTW an Über to downtown is only $ 15. Yeah, I know. Rumor has it if it gets too hot the manage can make it rain for 20 minutes at a time.

DANGEROUS DOG HAZARDS — CAUTION ADVISED DUE TO NEGLIGENCE
An overly pet friendly RV park. I have no issues with dogs, only the dog owners. Clearly, any dog owner will NEVER pick up their dog poop, providing they clearly know that can get any with it. If they say otherwise, they are obviously lying.
When traversing the park to reach the pool and/​or rally center, there are NO direct designated paved sidewalks/​paved walking paths. Thereby it requires you to pass between numerous rows of RV’s. This are all grassed in areas which are infrequently mowed between the RV’s. All these grassed areas frequently have DOG POOP scattered throughout, whereby making the RV park a filthy sanitary hazard for walkers to/​from their RV’s and the Pool, Rally Center/​Office complex. During our stay, dog poop was frequently stepped on even though we are specifically watching out for it.
But, more importantly, these dog owners frequently leave their dog leash anchors and/​or the dog leashes on the grass. Therefore, these items become embedded in the grass which quickly grows, whereby making these items an invisible dangerous hazard.
A DANGEROUS INCIDENT OCCURED:
In one (1) particular instance while walking from the Pool area to the RV, my right foot was caught by one of these abandoned/​invisible/​anchored dog leashes, whereby causing me to make a hard fall onto the adjacent pavement. This fall caused numerous skin abrasions, a bloody mess, extreme pain and soreness with numerous black and blue marks. Fortunately, nothing appeared to be broken.
BOTTOM LINE: Be very careful. There is a combined negligence issue on the part of the RV park owners/​management for the lack of direct safe paths to/​from the RV center complex AND on the part of the dog owners that stay at this RV park. If you have to walk at nighttime, you recommend you have use a 500 watt spotlight.
OTHERWISE: This is an «EXCELLENT» RV park with no other complaints or issues whatsoever. A wonderful place to stay at.

We stayed here 6 nights in our Coach in order to attend our RV Club’s Strawberry Festival Rally. We also traveled to the Strawberry Festival itself in Plant City. This is an excellent place to stay which is very convenient to a lot of attractions in the Tampa area. The park is very clean and well maintained and the staff are all very polite and helpful. My wife is handicapped and my 1 criticism of Lazydays is that they DO NOT have enough Handicapped Parking Spaces up at the Rally Center and especially over at the Sales Center. With the shortage of Handicapped Parking Spaces it made it very difficult for my wife to access the Rally Center and the Sales Center.

This is one wonderful campground. Packed tight, but everyone friendly. Pool is awesome. Exit 10 bar is slow to serve food so don’t go if you are real hungry. Food is pretty darn good. Laundry area is very nice. You can use credit card, debit card in a wall mount machine to start dryers and washers. No need to carry quarters but machines do operate with quarters if you want. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rv sales department is great. I bought a water pump for RV and price was comparable to my area in IL. If you need to rent a car, no worries. Enterprise car rental will pick you up at your site.
Bathroom and showers super clean. Water is a little low on pressure but adequate. If you’re looking for a new camper or motorhome, this is the place. A salesman will gladly pick you up at your site and show you around on a golf cart. Free breakfast and lunch. It’s busy but free. Excellent coffee for sure. Just a great and well run place. I’ll be back for my new motorhome.

The park at lazy days is 1^st class. We love to visit and visit many other rv“s. The park is clean with full service and they include breakfast and lunch. Plus the whole park is paved.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The place is super nice. The facility is immaculate and it is in a convenient location. No complaints. We enjoyed our stay and will stay again! We were traveling in a motorhome.

Pros: Free breakfast and lunch everyday while staying there, ²⁴⁄₇ shuttle, clean facilities, beautiful redone heated pool and jacuzzi. Friendly staff, paved sites, three dog runs, RV cleaning/​detailing will come to site, amazing discounts… the list goes on!
Cons: we had to leave.

Great campground. It is laid out in a logical but spaced out manner. We asked to be near a dog walk area and had a space near one on a cul de sac. Couldn’t have been placed any better Our neighbors were like most RV neighbors, friendly, and offering advice when asked. I’ve never seen people more willing to strike up easy going conversations when able.
Very close to I4 and I75 and Brandon. Busch Gardens is probably about 20 minutes away. The rec center has a pool table, ping pong tables, bean bag throwing areas, etc. there is a restaurant on site and crackle barrel and bob evans are right around the corner. There is a Lazy J fuel station with separate pumps for trucks and RVs. There is a tampa tribune included with the site price. It’s dropped off every morning, including Sunday.
On Saturday, there was a local car rally going on in one of the larger parking spaces. Will definitely use it again when over that way.

We stayed here for a week while visiting various friends and family in the Tampa area. I was a little concerned that we might get pressured from the sales side of the organization but we were never bothered. In fact, staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The park is convenient to I-​4 close to I-​75 but far enough away that road noise (even from the competing truck stops at the exit) was not an issue at all. I requested a site change to allow satellite TV access and that was no problem at all (of course, the RV Park was only 35−40% full during our stay). All roads and sites are paved. Sites are priced by length (38′, 40′, 42′, 45′), relatively wide and separated by grass. I believe all sites are 90-​degree back-​ins, and noticed some big 5ers having difficulty making the cuts, but they might have been new owners needing practice. Utilities were all OK, although the Wi-​Fi was often quite slow. The pool and tennis areas were in constant use while we were there, and the «complimentary» newspaper, breakfast and lunch in the company cafeteria, shuttle bus to HQ, and trash collection are nice features. We ate twice in their «Exit 10 Pub» for dinner and the food was decent and not too overpriced. There are multiple dogs runs on the property, although the set (big and small sections) connected to the campground was in a distant corner. There were very few perma-​rigs on site. Competitor Camping World has relocated to the next exit east on I-​4. Good VZW.
