Simply Silver & More

I finally meandered into this quaint and friendly storefront today. I met the owner, Elizabeth, and two of her regular customers which also happen to be locals. I don’t know why I haven’t stopped in before, even out of curiosity. I mean, I am after all a GIRL and I had a feeling this was a jewelry store. But when I finally opened the door, I was surprised by what I found — a whole lot more than a jewelry store! I sort of felt like Alice in Wonderland, having walked through a door and found myself in a place very much unlike whatever my mind had pre-​conceived it would be.
I opened the door to inquire as to whether they sold any greeting cards. After a speedy glance around I saw some cards on a far wall and went to look at them. I was greeted warmly and encouraged to come in and look around. There were so many pretty and colorful and sparkly things EVERYWHERE that I was immediately distracted from the cards.
My quick stop in for a card turned into what may have been a two-​hour visit with the ladies, a few extra purchases, and an espresso which Elizabeth made for me.
Elizabeth offers some nice jewelry and gift items made by local artists as well as some standard fare such as chains to dangle your pretty artesian charms from. I’m a sucker for handmade boxes, I LOVE boxes, and I enjoyed fondling those. I’m also a sucker for a nice handmade soap, she also sells some of these. I’m also a sucker for pretty barrettes and sparkly things for my hair and she has some faux flower barrettes reminiscent of simpler days gone by which I very much liked to see. Her inventory changes (obviously) all the time with one-​of-​a-​kind things selling and new pieces replacing them. Elizabeth showed me some of the charms made by a fellow who works at North Cascade Ford during the day and makes incredible jewelry pieces in the evenings. I was impressed and VERY inspired!
Elizabeth is very much into encouraging economic development and growth in Sedro Woolley, especially in the downtown business district which has enormous growth potential and is very much fertile ground for opportunities.

PS: Elizabeth’s daughter is a massage therapist who works out of the store as well. She focuses on treatment massage but is plenty willing and able to do fluffy massage for people who don’t have an injury and just want a quality, professional massage. Buy yourself and people you like some pretties then buy yourself a massage.
