Poco Diablo Resort

Internet does not work. Other reviews reflect this. They seem to know that it doesn’t work, yet they aren’t doing much to address this. Front desk was not helpful.
On top of that, my room smelled of mildew.
If you are looking for luxury (or Internet), I don’t recommend.

Staff is excellent, food was excellent, room and view of golf course was great BUT if you need to use the internet for any reason you will be very disappointed! VERY slow IF it connects at all, maintenance guy told us they would have to call in an IT guy from Phoenix if we wanted anything done about it. If you have to do any work from the road on line it’s going to be a problem. The strange thing is the wi-​fi for phones works ok.
The TV volume works on MOST channels, HBO is barely audible when turned up to the max, they say it’s the providers fault, minor detail I guess but still, why advertise it if they know it’s a problem.

This place is so well kept and the customer service is fantastic! So dog-​friendly as well, they gave my doggy a little welcome bag with treats and a travel bowl — how sweet! The rooms are large, and feel luxurious, they smell like warm fresh laundry too, loved it! The outdoor area was vast so London (my pup) could run around and play with other fur-​friends. We grabbed some grapes and cheese from Whole Foods not too far away, and sat outside in the sun and snacked. It’s beautiful here, and so affordable. It’s near the town shops, restaurants and trails are only about a mile away. I can’t say enough nice things about this place, love-​love!
**One thing I was upset by, but management handled EXTREMELY WELL — I forgot my engagement ring like a doh-​doh brain. I was sweating bullets, my fiancé spent a fortune on it and I felt so irresponsible = (. I only realized I left it when I was already 2 hours outside of Sedona, when I called about my ring they said that house-​keeping only found my earrings and other jewelry — NO ENGAGEMENT RING — my heart dropped to my stomach. FUNNY THE HOUSE-​KEEPER CONVENIENTLY DIDN’T TURN IN MY ENGAGEMENT RING BUT DID TURN IN EVERYTHING ELSE (LESS VALUABLE). It’s a beautiful custom ring, so I can imagine anyone would be tempted. When I expressed my anger and disappointment, demanding to speak to house-​keeping, it was somehow magically «found by the door». Shame on the house-​keeper that thought she could get away with it. Either way, my fiancé and I are sooooo grateful management handled this and got my ring back!
We would love to come back here! Just don’t forget your valuables hah!

Just checked in and immediately got upgraded to a king room with a spa inside. The woman working the front desk was so helpful and accommodating. I’ve only been here an hour an I have been blow away. This place is a must stay!

Stayed at Poco for a few nights in October. The staff was very nice and helpful. The views are beautiful. The breakfast and dinners were good.
Our issue was when we decided to go out on our balcony before dinner to have some wine and cheese and take in the beautiful views. Unfortunately the couple next to us came out to sit on thier balcony. Both of them smoking. The smell pretty much blowing into our patio the entire time. I called the front desk. Front desk said they can smoke on the patio not in the rooms. Bummer. I am not going to sit outside if there are people pretty much right next to me smoking. Also, the smoke was blowing into the rooms.
We decided to go to dinner and sit outside to see the beautiful views. Great dinner until about four people light up right below us. Waiter said people can smoke down on the concrete area below the patio. Dont see why Poco can’t make the smokers move to the other side of the pond. Instead they are allowed to smoke right below people dining. You might as well let them smoke in the outside dining area. If you are a bothered by cigarette smoke Poco would be a bad choice.
Poco I wish you could make a non smoking section for customers who want to sit on their patio and not have someone lighting up on the patio right next to them.
I did find a few very nice smoke free properties during my three days at Poco. If Poco does not change their policy regarding smoking at least we found some places we can go to in the future.

As we were driving here I started to call around and the first place I called was Paco Diablo resort. I figured I might get a cheaper price by calling than booking a hotel through Hotwire last minute. I was right. Got the AAA discount and it was well worth it. For a room with a hot tub and it was awesome. The jets were OK and it was loud but definitely worth it for a one time thing. William who works the front desk or concierge depending when you come is awesome and so helpful. Make sure you tip when he spends 10 min mapping out all the sites for you.

Beautiful place with nice rooms — reasonable cost. No shuttle service and not within walking distance of town however.

We came for a wedding in Sedona so our schedule was a little hectic. Housekeeping was not very accommodating. They came just before we were ready to go to breakfast (abt 9:00 am) and said they would come back. We came back abt 2:00 to get ready and the room was not done. They came again abt 3 and they told me they were leaving early and could not do the room. It was not a huge problem but an example of poor customer service. Other than that how did you like the play Mr Lincoln? My wife is in a wheel chair so we need an accessible room. It was nice but a little crowded for the chair. Also the shower was VERY tiny. The breakfast was very good and the view was good. Handicapped parking was lacking for the number of rooms available. I might stay here again but may explore other options also.

My first impression of Poco Diablo was very positive… the grounds are beautiful with views all around, the service on the phone was extremely courteous, and the amenities were plentiful. When we checked in our rooms weren’t ready yet (we were there early in the day to catch a wine tour) but the staff helped us put our luggage out of the way so someone else in our party could check in later, and they didn’t mind a couple of people and a baby hanging out in the lobby/​restaurant area until the rooms were available.
Once we got settled in to the rooms, one thing because quickly apparent — the walls are paper thin. We learned a lot about our next door neighbors, and our neighbors learned a lot about babies hehe. Our room overlooked a large outdoor fireplace, which attracted a late crowd. This would have been fine, but for the aforementioned walls. Every word they said floated up and into our room as audible as if we were sitting next to them by the fire. Maybe I could have slept through all these things if the beds had been softer…
All that said, the rooms were really nice. They were huge, with a large desk area, fridge with counter space, a couple chairs, and lots of open room in the middle. I wish we’d had time to enjoy more of the resort. If I was looking for somewhere nice to stay in Sedona when I’m not just after the best price, I would probably return… as long as I could request a room farther from common areas ;)

Stayed here for a wedding. The wedding started at 4pm and we got to the hotel at noon. We requested an early check-​in since we had to get ready for the wedding. At noon, our room wasn’t ready. Come back at 130pm and our room still wasn’t ready. We were told which room we were blocked for so we went to the room and the room was clean (door didn’t shut completely). We come back at 230pm and were told the room still wasn’t ready but then the front desk agent called housekeeping to check the room status and it was indeed ready. The resort itself is nice. Pet friendly which is great. Just wished that we were able to get into our room that was clean 2 hours earlier.

My biggest pet peeve when it comes to hotels are the beds. When your sole business is to offer a place tho sleep, the beds should be amazing. The bed was extremely hard. Woke up with a backache. The internet was spotty at best and their paper products were cheap cheap cheap. However, the room was clean and beautiful. The view from the patio was amazing. Mary at the front desk was very accommodating.

My fiancé and I stayed at the Poco Diablo Resort on August 14^th, 15^th and 16^th. It wasn’t until the 17^th when we were driving through Nevada that my fiancé recalled that I moved his collared shirt some where, and asked if I grabbed it. I immediately called Poco Diablo and explained what happened and that I left his shirt in the closet on a hanger. I asked that if they found it to please mail it back to us, obviously I would pay for postage as it was my bad. Last week I received the package with the shirt in it. The customer service they gave was incredible, the next time we are in Sedona, we will definitely be going back to this place! It was gorgeous, relaxing and just all around amazing!

Stayed here with the boyfriend and absolutely loved it! We were checked in by a guy named Garrett and he was so friendly and loved that we brought our puppy with us! The first night unfortunately our air conditioner wasn’t working so the next day we called and were helped by a nice guy named Jon and he moved us to the suite right next door which was nice! We also got room service for pizza and there brownie sundae and Fernando brought it both times and he was so nice and the food was delicious! We loved our view of the golf course and also our room and how friendly everyone was! We will definitely be back and recommend it!

We looked at several hotels online to stay at and picked this one because our first pick sold out. I am so happy about it! This resort was perfect! The staff at the front desk was extremely courteous and gave us a free upgrade! We were traveling with another couple and requested to be put in rooms near each other. They obliged with no problem what-​so-​ever. They also gave us maps of the area and a list of great hikes to try.
Our room was very nice and clean. Large, with a King bed, seating area, patio, and a jacuzzi tub! We loved it. I also really liked that there was a large closet with a full length mirror door. Across from this was a little «bar» type area that had it’s own sink and mirror– outside of the bathroom. This was nice so I could do my makeup in the morning and my husband could still use the mirror and sink in the bathroom. The bed was very comfy– a little on the firm side, which I thought would bother me, but it didn’t. There were several areas for lounging– a couch, two chairs, and a small patio which lead onto the golf course. The room was decorated modernly with photos of the Sedona area.
The location is a little bit off the main road in Sedona, but that was fine with us. We were still within 5 – 10 minutes driving of every place we wanted to go.
Unfortunately, we didn’t get to try the pool or hot tub, as they closed at 10pm and we were too late.
All in all, I would definitely stay here again!

Stayed in one of their red rock view suites with fireplace, and really enjoyed myself. I had a little flock of ducks that hiked across the golf course from the pond twice a day to see if I wanted to share any bread with them. Be aware they will walk right in the room if you leave the screen door ajar. Nicely appointed room, phenomenal view of a gorgeously landscaped course, great breakfast buffet on the deck of their restaurant «T Carl’s».
As a side note, I extended my stay an extra night (Saturday) and was given a steeply discounted rate without even asking. Gratuitous kindnesses like that go a long way with me.
Two small complaints — the freezer in the mini fridge was essentially useless, and room service got two of four orders wrong.
Overall, the minor complaints didn’t detract from the sheer gorgeousness of the property. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat.

We just had a wonderful time staying at this resort, and the views are simply resplendent!
From the moment we walked in, although it was late at night; the staff was polite, efficient, and cheerful.
Check-​in was a breeze, and the place was just serene. We could not have asked for a better place to stay in Sedona.
We had a single story suite right by the Green, and the only minor annoyance that we experienced was the lack of nearby parking. We actually had to park at the other end of the row of the two story complex. Not too far, but a minor annoyance nonetheless. At first, I was concerned with security because mine was the only car over at that lot in a dark night, but my concern was unfounded — my car was fine in the morning.
Speaking of the morning, when we opened curtains that covered the door to our private patio, we were greeted with just a marvelous view of the golf course and the surrounding mountains. Just simply spectacular!
Our room was well appointed and spacious. Very ergonomic; especially for those of us that are workaholics and work during vacation times.
My only quibble was the high speed internet was not very high speed. It was only good for checking email, but nothing else. Unfortunately, Suddenlink appears to be the only Internet Provider in Sedona, and they are constrained in their facilities. This may not get resolved anytime soon.
But, for those that enjoy the atmosphere and the facilities, this place is top notch. The staff is just extremely congenial; especially William who handled our checkout.
Another notable part of our experience was that all the guests we encountered, and had the pleasure of chatting with were just so friendly. I think they serve happy pills in this place. Even the couple whose wife was on wheelchair, whose vehicle I happened block with mine because we were loading up the car were just so patient and never minded the slight delay.
I would truly recommend this as a great destination and a quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of life.

My family and I stayed at Poco Diablo in May. It was an absolutely amazing experience. From the first phone call I made to the resort through our three day stay I was amazed by the hospitality. My favorite part besides the huge gorgeous room, breath taking view or kind staff was how above and eyond they went for my dad who is a Vietnam Veteran. Not only did we get a great rate but we also got a very sweet card thanking him for his service. It made his entire trip.
Such an amazing visit and stay. We will be back soon.

What an amazing time at Poco Diablo. We selected this hotel based on the dog friendly reviews. Originally booked 4 nights but enjoyed it so much that we stayed another night.
The grounds were amazing and our room was fantastic. Close to the doggie relief area, beautiful view of the golf course and close to the out door patio with fire place and water fountains.
The customer service was outstanding, especially Mary at registration. My dog Max loved her! She was so welcoming and the food and food device was great.
This will be are go to place when we visit Sedona again in a few months!

What a beautiful resort! I had a wonderful time here while I was here for my Brother and now Sister in laws beautiful wedding. The weekend we were here the weather was bad and rainy but it turned out nice for the ceremony so they were able to have it out by the gazebo. The photographer took a lot of pics by the nice red rocks and little streams as well as the pretty trees on the property.
Our rooms were very spacious, we had the king rm with the jet tub. It had a nice couch, and a chair with an ottoman. The desk also has a nice vanity make up mirror that lights up with different settings.
We also had a wet bar in our room. I really liked the round coffee table, it looked really elegant.
The only bummer was that our bed could have been a Little more comfortable. It wasn’t the worst we’ve ever slept on but it wasn’t the best.
All in all the resort did a wonderful job with helping my inlaws with everything, including the Service! It was an enjoyable time, and a weekend of memories that will last a life time!

We booked through a secret Hotwire deal and this was one of those times where we were happy with what we got.
When we checked in… we automatically got upgraded to a king suite! That was so nice. We had a private balcony, fireplace, jacuzzi, mini fridge, and the room was spacious with high ceilings. The location is further from most of the very touristy parts such as a uptown but still close to a few trails especially cathedral rock. They offer free coffee and fruit from 5 – 8 AM but it’s nothing worth waking up early for. There’s a restaurant located inside but we never had the chance to try it.
Very happy with our stay and I would be glad to pay the regular price.
