We had a delicious lunch(pulled pork sandwich, sweet potato fries, and homemade carrot cake), and our server, Chelsea, was super friendly and helpful(and she warmly welcomed us as new«locals» who, having recently moved to Sedona, received a 10% discount).

Everyone who is complaining about this place needing a makeover get over yourself and go back to «fancy» Sedona. This is a local spot not a tourist trap. I came here twice while in town, I got the chicken fried steak both times– it was the best I’ve ever had and believe me I’m from Georgia so I know something about good home cooking. Both times I came the service was prompt and friendly.

We chose this restaurant for a family dinner and we were not disappointed. The food was excellent the prices were very reasonable, and the service was good. The sautéed mushrooms appetizer was amazing, the chicken wings were delicious, and the steak was cooked perfectly. The only reason I did not give it a five star is because the website said it was kid friendly, and they did not have anything as simple as crayons and something to color for the kids.

the place itself could really use a makeover and a good cleaning. we had to move tables because they sat us near the restrooms and the pink soap smell was so strong it made me nauseous and almost killed my appetite. the food we ordered was ok. nothing gourmet. just breakfast, decent I suppose for the price. service was good.

My husband and I took a trip from Flagstaff for breakfast. We drove the main strip but found nothing exciting, or that we haven’t tried yet. So, with a last hope, we gave Nick’s a try. When we walked in, it wasn’t very busy. With specials on the dry erase board, I had an idea what I was going to try. We waited for a few moments before a young lady greeted us and sat us. We did not catch her name. A few minutes later, our server greeted us cheerfully as if we were regulars. We knew what we wanted, so she took our order. We noticed that all the servers were interacting with guests who clearly are regulars. Breakfast came out and looked amazing! I had gotten the scramble with eggs, bacon, sausage, cheddar and bell peppers served with a choice of toast. My husband ordered the beef brisket and eggs that also cane with toast and spuds. My skillet was probably one of the best I have ever had! The only reason I’m giving 4 stars is due to wait times. To be sat, to meet our server and to get our check was a little lengthy. I suppose if you’re going casual, you may as well be casual. We definitely will be back though!

This restaurant was recommended to us by a few different locals during our day trip to Sedona. We didn’t want anything fancy, and Nick’s met our needs. The food was hearty(chicken was dry, though), the prices were reasonable for the area, and the server was efficient. Our party consisted of 2 adults and 2 children, and we all left satisfied.

Excellent efficient service, hearty fare– just a good simple breakfast. We had french toast, eggs, tuna fish– all great! Cinnamon bun was homemade but a bit too doughy and sugary. Overall, great food for the price, and much more local than a tourist trap!

We enjoyed a great breakfast this morning and reviewed the dinner menu hoping to get some Mexican food. Unbelievable. I had fish tacos and wifey had chilis rellenos. So good! Highly recommended by 2 foodies from Cleveland

Delicious draft beer and Mexican food… everyone at our table had praise for it all, plus the wonderful waitress. We decided the info out there about this place is accurate… fajitas, tacos, chips and salsa and draft beer all fresh! Plus we found a 20% discount coupon! Yeah!

First rate experience at this gem of a place. Great diner feel and food, but fresh and homemade. Best breakfast I’ve had in a long time. Simple but excellent. Service was great, Katrina our server was all class. Definitely will be back when in Sedona.

Very good quick service. Great place for a quick and easy small diner breakfast. Usually a lot less crowded than The Coffee Pot. Had the cinnamon swirl French toast with hot apple topping and it was very good.

We were staying at the Adobe Grand Villas and did not want their breakfast. Nicks was close. When we first walked in we got nervous. It looks like a greasy spoon. Do NOT judge this place by looks. I got the veggie omelet and it was done perfect. My wife got the eggs with their homemade salsa. Incredible. Do yourself a favor and get their homemade cinnamon buns. The best Cinnabon has nothing on them. Great price. Stay away from tourist traps and come here.

The food was really good. The prices were fine, nothing to complain about. Large portions that filled me up for a good hike. The only thing I didn’t like was the cleanliness. It’s subpar. My glass had lipstick residue on the edge and I don’t wear lipstick. I can tell it had been through the dishwasher though. The waitstaff seemed tired but was always attentive. Nicks is better than Dennys. Would I go back? I did. I’ve been to worse and better. So 3 stars it is.

We were a larger group, but service was still pretty good… thus the four stars instead of five. We waited for our wings to arrive, but dinner came shortly after that. The baby back ribs were great. The meat fell off the bone. The brisket was thinly sliced, making it tender. The coleslaw was decent… needed a little more. The beans were good, as well as the fries. Overall, the locals recommended it, and for the, price, it was a lot of food and decent food to boot. I liked that it wasn’t in town… not a touristy place.

Nick’s is really the only place in Sedona to get a good piece of meat at a good price. My daughter is a vegetarian and she can always find something when DH and I need a real protein chew. Linda is a FAB waitress and Nick always cares about his customers. Fancy? No. Wonderful food at a good price? Yes! The only reason it’s not a five star review is because I’ve eaten in five star restaurants and don’t want to mislead someone who’s looking for ambiance. Come in and get great tasting food, instead!

Their food is decent, and charged at a decent price. If you want to eat somewhere locally that doesn’t charge an arm and a leg, nicks is the place to go. Just don’t expect very good customer service and to have anyone take your order right away. You’ll most likely wait a good 15 – 20 mins before anyone will ask you if you’d like to order. So going there in a hurry isn’t a good idea. Also, they will only give you 2 free refills on soda and fill it completely with ice. After about two sips in, they will take your cup away and refill it for you. You’ll also get attitude by the waiter if you ask for less ice.

We really never went wrong with our dining out choices here in Sedona, and I can’t say I didn’t like Nick’s, only that it wasn’t one of my very favorites. Or I ordered wrong(soup and salad, wasn’t that hungry…) and maybe got spoiled after all the AMAZING ambiance in so many of the other places we tried, this was more a «local joint,» and not really out to AMAZE anyone, just serve good food(which it did!!) in a comfy, homey, no nonsense spot. Everyone raves about their breakfasts, which we probably should have tried(a whole busload of Germans went there from our hotel one morning!!). The Mr. got a special, super-loaded beef stroganoff(which he couldn’t even finish!!) and my salad and soup(great, homemade veggie) was good, and service was quick and attentive. The Mr. got a chance to compare notes with Nick on how the Bengal’s former quarterback in doing now in Arizona, so that was interesting, and I just HAD to try one of Nick’s homemade pies(peanut butter and cream cheese… WOW!!) Reasonable prices, cozy, nothing flashy, and WHEN we’re back in Sedona, hopefully sooner than later, I’ll reserve another star or two for their great-sounding breakfasts!

This place is surprisingly good. My friends and I just needed to choose a place to eat so we chose here. Wasn’t really expecting much to be honest. Waitress told us they were known for their chile rellenos. Apparent their green chile pork tamales are homemade too. So four of us got it. Your choice of meat for the relleno. Carnitas, chicken, beef or ground turkey. Carnitas and beef were supposedly really good so I got that. Double pork. Got our food and it was really good. We all enjoyed it. Ask for their hot salsa too. It wasn’t really spicy so ok for for those who can’t handle a lot of spice. But the flavor was very good. Worth the drive and so much better than the crap in uptown Sedona as far as Latin food goes.

My family ate our first breakfast in Sedona at Nick’s. The service was friendly and accommodating to special requests. The food was excellent! The homemade cinnamon roll was just like mom used to make. Update: We ate breakfast here all three mornings that we were in Sedona.
