The company was born nearly 20 years ago when Nirmal Yogi, an advanced organic chemist with an extensive background in botanical supplements, began to experiment with «liquid elixirs» to meet the specialized nutritional needs of friends and family members following a vegetarian/​vegan lifestyle. Long fascinated with medicinal botany and its ability to cross ethnic and cultural borders, Nirmal combined his network of world-​class scientists with a deep knowledge of Ayurveda – one of the world’s oldest, most respected holistic medicine systems.
