Great little location in Sedona. We were away from the busy side of town which turned out to be really nice. The front desk staff was amazing and friendly. We found parking near our room. It did have an outside door access on the second floor accessible by stairs. It was a cool card though as you just had to put it on the door to open it. I could even do it through my wallet which was great if my hands were full.
The view wasn’t exciting, but the room was nice. Clean, great bathroom, and a mini-​fridge. Woo! We weren’t too far from uptown either, so it didn’t take a super long time to drive in.
Breakfast came with the hotel which was cool. Waffle machine, breakfast burritos and some pastries with coffee and juice. It worked. The staff just kept impressing us with their attention to service and friendliness. The pool is near the front desk, so if you are a bit farther back, it’s a little walk.
For a nice location away from the main tourist area, this is the place.

The hotel is clean, and decently located on the main (only?) street in Sedona. They had a fridge and microwave in the rooms, which was a nice plus, we kept our water bottles chilled overnight.
First impression: the hotel itself looks like it used to be a sad motel of some sort from the outside; that was so disappointing driving in. However the rooms are completely updated. The bedding and carpets appeared clean and the room itself was comfortable. The shower was decently clean and I’m a pretty type-​a clean person usually. Being in Sedona, I think my standards were lower because we’re in the middle of the desert, and I spent my entire day hiking. I probably would have been happy with a hot shower and clean socks.
I’m not sure that it really is a «3 star» hotel, the Jacuzzi/​pool were incredibly small, also directly in front of the parking lot/​check-​in office/​right next to the main road… that was a bit awkward to me. I didn’t see the «gym» at all, I“m guessing it might be in the check-​in/​breakfast main office area? Can’t imagine its much though.
Downside: the photos on the website sort of advertised a good view of the red-​rocks; the check-​in staff said that there weren’t really any rooms with «a view» but you could «stand close to the window and look to the right and see them…»
Overall — this hotel was perfect for what we needed; a inexpensive but clean place that I felt comfortable staying in. There was a safe, we didn’t use it though; no problems with computers being left in the room.

If you are coming to Sedona for a trip, not familiar with where to stay, and want to keep things straightforward, here you go:
1) Uptown/​west Sedona = doesn’t matter. You can drive where ever you need to go and it’s easy.
2) Paying extra for a view seems silly when you are out hiking and likely just going to sleep.
3) If you stay in Uptown, you will have a LOT OF TOURISTS.
My rate was totally fair considering I had a jacuzzi (omg, right) and a king bed.
The rooms are clean and try hard to give an upscale vibe. Parking was easy, and the room had a small patio (that didn’t have a view, but a nice place to have an end of the day glass of wine) and the breakfast options are vast (waffles, hard-​boiled eggs, oatmeal, sausage, etc). I would absolutely stay here again.
Yes, the other reviews are correct in that the place is a little noisy. They have a little basket in the room with bottled water and a treat, as well as ear plugs.

I was really impressed with the staff, one staff member in particular by the name of Sedonah was exceptional in terms of customer service. She went above and beyond to make sure I was happy. If you decide to stay here, ask for Sedonah. She will take good care of you.

My husband and I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The room was very nice… well kept and comfortable. Our room had complimentary bottles of water, bag of popcorn, and bag of pretzels, which was a nice touch. I loved the strands of lights behind the headboard, it made for romantic mood lighting. All of the staff I encountered were very friendly. Especially the man who was staffing the breakfast area — he was so upbeat and did a great job keeping everything stocked. The breakfast buffet was great! The property itself was clean and had nice landscaping. Overall, it seems like they care about all the little details that make a great stay. I would definitely recommend!

We had a great time staying at this hotel. Upon arrival and learning that we were celebrating our first anniversary, the hotel allowed us to upgrade our room to a king suite with a jacuzzi tub (we reserved the room through Priceline which resulted in a 2 queen bed) The room was very clean and came w complementary water, pretzels and popcorn. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was huge!
After around 30 minutes the staff at the front desk called and mentioned they had something for us at the front desk. They gave us a box of chocolates and a lovely card for our anniversary. The staff obviously care about ensuring their customers have a great experience.
There was free breakfast in the morning which was fairly good. Our only complaint was that the hot tub was closed for the season. We highly recommend staying here at the Arroyo Pinion hotel.

If I could rate this hotel a 0 on customer service I would. Everyone at the front desk especially then men are extremely rude to the point it is almost harassing. I will never return and will make sure to advise every single person I know to not go here. Worst service in the world. I would much rather sleep outside in the freezing cold then stay here again.

The hotel is ok, not the best in the area. The rooms n building itself is a bit out dated, but with the price is comparable. Walls are thin, people like to close their doors hard, so you will hear a loud slam everytime someone just let go their doors. Pet friendly is a plus, but it comes with a price for 20 bucks per day per pet.
The afternoon staff, I think his name is Robert? He was wonderful and professional. He called after we checked in to make sure everything was ok.
However the morning staffs were not as great… need to improve their communication skills a bit. I understand that they were busy the night before and no early check in, but the first reaction I got was not to pleasant from the staffs. We offered our information to input in their system, so we can speed up the process once the room is ready. Then we were just going to get some breakfast they offered in their lobby since we have to wait around, the staff member got loud and told us that we couldn’t do that since we were not «offically» checked in… however I did paid for the room through priceline and they took my credit card info. Just because I was not «offically assign» to a room number, so we were not consider a valuable customer?! To be honest, she made us feel cheap like we were so greedy that we tried to score «free food»!!! After she made a loud embarrassment of the situation, then she said it was ok just for this time, so we could have the food… really lady?!!
They need to learn to speak to customers in a professional way, not tring to get their point across by «talking down» to their customer specially in front of others guests in the hotel… we are adult here, no one is tried to be low class or acting stupid. We understand that there are rules, but it could be handled in a better way, perhaps speak to your guests in a softer tone or in private. No one wants to be speak to like we are some low lives who were so hungry need to steal your food!

Pros: friendly service and big rooms
Cons: noise. It was so loud all night that couldn’t even sleep (despite using the ear plugs they left in the room). If you are looking for a good night sleep or relaxation, this is not the place. Plus room wasn’t that cheap.

Poorly designed rooms, small jacuzzi, rooms THUNDER when adjacent doors close. Bathroom incomplete, tub and vanity outside bathroom, making it awkward, at best. No blackout curtains, morning sun waking you prematurely. Electric AC unit rattling all night. +1 For hot breakfast, it was good. Poor room, for the rate. Would not recommend.

Our experience at this hotel was amazing!
Checked in late in the afternoon to a very welcoming staff & was a super easy process. My sister and I were offered cookies & fruit infused water (yum).
The office was clean, big & so was the rest of the property!
We got to our room & it was so cute! I was surprised with how spacious our 2 queen bedroom was. The décor was warming & matched the whole Sedona feel.
Our room faced the pool, yes the pool is small but its surrounded by tables and chairs. We easily went down there to eat and relax.
The next morning we had their FREE continental breakfast. It was way MORE than a continental breakfast because they served waffles, pancakes, bagels, cereal, oatmeal, eggs, potatoes, sausage & much more. It was also pretty tasty. We were elated and so happy with our stay.
Definitely will be coming back.

The place was clean. I like that they provide complimentary cookies in the lobby. We had the pool and hot tub to ourselves at night. The room we got didn’t have a special view or anything (we could see into the back yard of a house).

This was one of the only lesser expensive places around.

Totally serviceable, but not a bargain, or a premium experience.
What do you look for when you stay at a hotel? Break it down:
Some folks want a place they can get for a great price. Great is relative, though, since hotels cost more on expensive cities then they do in cheap cities.
Some folks want a premium accommodations: marble baths, plush carpet, 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets. If you’ve ever stayed at (or been upgraded to) a suite at one of the nicer hotels in Vegas, you know what I’m talking about.

Arroyo is a «lil of column A, lil of column B» type of hotel.
A room here costs between $ 150-​$ 200 a night, which is not crazy expensive… but not cheap either. Sedona on the whole is a bit overpriced, so I’m going to call this hotel «moderate.»
You get a large room, reasonably comfortable bed, a gas fireplace, and a very awkward jacuzzi in the sleeping area. You get a large fridge, and a microwave. There is a small flat screen in your room, with a decent number of free channels.
Unfortunately, the towels are scratchy, water pressure is low, and the bathroom is small enough that the sink/​vanity is outside of the shower/​water closet area.
Wifi is free, and they give you access to breakfast that is a mixed bag. Fruit, yogurt, bagels/​cream cheese — all good. Eggs/​sausage? Inedible.
There is a pool that is great if you are smurf sized. Kinda small otherwise. Front desk staff is helpful, but not very knowledgeable about local hiking or attractions. When asked about the difficult of specific hiking trails, for example, I got a lot of blank stares. Which is weird, considering hiking is one of the major attractions of the area.
If you are not seeking a premium «Vegas-​style» hotel, and can stay here for $ 100-​$ 125 a night, go for it! Otherwise, see what else is out there.

Not bad for a Motel!
My husband and I decided to drive into Sedona a night early from our reservations. Amara was fully committed for Saturday night so we had no other choice but to call around for a place to stay for a night.
This place was a good deal for the price. Nice size fridge, great air conditioning, flat screen, microwave, complimentary WiFi. and I’m very picky about running HOT water, and I was not disappointed.
Breakfast is over at 10AM.

Hotel is located right in the tourist trap zone aka Main Street. It’s relatively cheap to stay here but the price does reflect the room conditions. They do serve breakfast if you absolutely need to eat; otherwise this is something easily skippable as the food isn’t that great.
I like the apples they have in the lobby. These make great snacks for hiking.

We come to Sedona quite a bit and have stayed at so many different places… private homes, hotels and a few of the resorts. We had a change in plans and made last minute reservations (less than 24 hrs) and decided on Arroyo Piñón for the price, location and amenities based on the website. We did check out another website for recommendations and reviews and they were not as bad as what the Unilocalers posted. The other website had more recent reviews.
Upon arrival we were able to check in early and my son loved they had cookies waiting also apples which we took for our hike. We got into our room and it was clean no ugly hairs anywhere, the bathroom was stocked with nice towels and the bedding was clean (but I didn’t have a blue light or anything). I noticed we had golden yellow bedspreads oppose to dark brown, but all the sheets were white, clean and soft. A few nice amenities included free Wi-​Fi, coffeemaker with Starbucks coffee, a safe, microwave and small refrigerator.
The Arroyo Piñón included breakfast which wasn’t that bad. They offered eggs, bacon, sausage and waffles. Also a variety of bagels, pastries, yogurts, instant oatmeal and cereal. It probably saved us 40 bucks for a family of three. So, all in all we were all very comfortable and very please with the amenities.

We stayed in this location while visiting the Sedona area — which was several weeks ago and I just realized I uploaded lots of pictures and never reviewed the place (oops)! We booked the room online prior to going up for the weekend and it was a painless process. Upon arrival, all we had to do was check in and grab room keys.
The doors were a touch difficult to get into with the new key system they have here, but once we figured it out we were good to go. The room was obviously a renovated room as alluded to on the hotel’s booking site online. It was very modern and even had USB charging ports in the wall along with the AC plugs, which was very convenient. Probably the most lacking thing was the porch area outside, although it rained for a large portion of the weekend, so we wouldn’t have used it much anyhow.
It’s not too bad of a drive to get to the main attraction areas in downtown Sedona, but parking in downtown Sedona when you don’t book a hotel on the main strip can be a touch of an annoyance, but on the flip side it is why this hotel charged less for a night.
The service was just as easy upon check out.

It felt a touch tight in the bathroom, which is design of the place, and not so much the hotel’s fault since there isn’t much they can do about it now, right? We will probably stay on the main strip next time, but this is definitely NOT a bad night stay if you are in the area!
