Bought a pre-​assembled grill yesterday. We needed help loading it into my friend’s car. The rep that helped us went above and beyond to help us. The side shelves needed to be removed and it wasn’t an easy task but Jordan was patient and didn’t give up until the shelves were removed and all the parts were secured in the car. Thanks, for all your help Jordan!

Really the worst Home Depot I have ever visited. The Customer Service department is so rude and they were not cooperative at all. Nobody would help us in the asles with any questions. Its like the employees were looking right through us.

Horrible location. The store is always very dirty and this time they actually locked their door early. Staff is very rude as always.

Ridiculously poor customer service. Went to get an estimate on cabinets I was directed to a send an email. It seemed nobody cared enough to go help anybody. The staff seemed to be bothered upon asking for assistance. Better to avoid this experience at all costs if you can.

The wait for you to load up your cart full of items, only to be told that they are only taking cash. No one person advised us that their CC machines were working. Maybe your greeter and Supervisors should be letting customers know of the issue prior to building up their carts.

They have stuff I need. I’m not a contractor and I’m not a handy fix-​it dude. I’m a normal guy who needs to get shit done sometimes.
The backyard department could use more stuff. Always seems low. The customer service is what it is. I don’t expect the guy from the commercials who was a contractor for over 30 years and decided to give it up to help schmucks like me find a bolt. It’s local kids and adults who need a job.
They could be more attentive though.

I’ve just picked things up here and I can usually at least find someone to ask. I asked an associate where something was and he pulled out a phone, which I thought was to look it up but then suspected he was just texting, but he pointed me to the exact item instead of just say «Aisle 2» or something.
The parking lot is a garage, which is a bit weird since I’ve never seen the first level more than about half full. It’s just annoying that at the stop light you can only make a right. You have the advantage of a light but then blow it by only turning right. And if there is any traffic or construction, it is very hard to get out because you can only turn right on green. It would probably be easier if there was no light at all and we could turn right whenever it was clear.
There is also no regular checkouts. It’s all self check outs and then it’s happened enough times where a lane will be broken or one won’t take cash or give cash back or something. There’s essentially only 4 lines and you’d be lucky if they all worked at once. It also seems really cheap to have no regular cashiers as an option.
I’d probably give it 2.5 stars. I personally hadn’t needed too much help but I can definitely believe if you need help, you will have a hard time finding it.

Dont bother trying to get a kitchen or a countertop from here. They sub contract, home depots offers it sales, the contractor has no clue about and the price turns out to be more than they estimated for you. On top of that, because they subcontract, it takes longer for a job to get done and when you call the people involved or in charge, they either do not call you back or wait until 2 – 3 days later. Its a terrible process and very unprofessional. Just go to an actual kitchen place to get anything done.

By far the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. If I never have to set foot in this place ever again in my life, that would be great!

Most of the time the staff is inattentive or gets out of helping a customer by stating they can’t help with a specific task. As most people say, you’re better off driving the extra 5 minutes and going to the North Bergen Home Depot or Lowe’s for better service.

The worst Home Depot if you need someone to help you with anything. This is my 2^nd bad experience here. First time we wanted to buy a close out vanity floor sample as it was out of stock and the Manager refused to sell it to us. Went to Hazlet NJ location and they sold theirs to us without any issue. Today we came here to buy in stock kitchen cabinets. There was a forklift blocking the cabinets we needed. Asked someone to come move it, other associates have called for assistance 4 times. It has been 30 min and we are still waiting.

This is also one of the least organized Home Depots I’ve ever seen. Items are frequently in the wrong bins, marked with the wrong prices, or simply thrown in random places on the shelf. Half the stuff they’re supposed to have is missing, and they will show it in stock online, only to have none when you arrive at the store. This is a very frustrating location.

What to expect:
*Inattentive staff
*Low prices and good selection on products to fix up the home
*Not busy on late afternoons on the weekend.
*Parking is in a parking deck

Parking lot is covered so your car is not baking in the sun while you do your shopping. Came here to return a dead cucumber plant and exchange it for a basil (which will hopefully survive). The employees didn’t give me too much of a hassle over it and it ended up being a quick in-​out trip.

This is my go to store for gardening, grilling and home repair items. The customer service is dependent on the department you are in. Was just there yesterday when my wife discovered that our bed is not a true queen when we got our new mattress. We had to improvise a platform so our new mattress would fit. We got a very helpful person named Julio who recommended the items we needed and tried to find ways to make it even cheaper. Will definitely be back in a couple of weeks for my gardening needs.

It’s your typical Home Depot… But customer service here sucks! I’m often waiting 10 – 15 minutes for help… I’d do it myself but I don’t they’d be OK with me running their blind cutting equipment… we needed blinds to be cut down to a custom size which is included in the price of the blinds but I’m often standing there for 15+ waiting for someone to come help me! It’s not even like they were busy with another customer, they were just gone! They have relatively decent stock and parking is never a problem. But the only reason they have two stars is their customer service is such a pain to deal with. Obviously they hate their jobs, but why would you act like it? You are hired to do a professional job so please treat it like so…
Customer service here can be horrible at times… On one occasion, we came in looking for bubble wrap to wrap up some fine china and chandeliers and such. We asked where we could find it at this store on our way in and they told us they don’t carry bubble wrap. Strange… other home depot do carry bubble wrap! So I thought perhaps they don’t carry it. So we wandered the store because it was our last effort to find it as we were new to the area and didn’t know of any other options. Surprisingly we found the area they kept them in. Unfortunately for us, the ones that we wanted were not on the shelves. So we asked an employee (after several minutes of searching for one) to help us with our search. He searched and found that they had multiple on stock and didn’t know why they weren’t on the shelves. So we asked if he had any in top stock and he «searched» the entire store’s top stock for it and couldn’t find it despite their computers showing some in stock. So we took it upon ourselves to search for it as well. Guess what? We found it a few aisles over… Lesson learned, you need to do things yourself at this home depot otherwise nothing will get done.
On a separate occasion, I was making crème brûlée at home and ordered an insane soldering torch from amazon that users were reporting worked very well for crème brûlée because you have good control of the torch. Anyways, I grabbed butane (for hot pot burners) from Mitsuwa thinking it was what I could use to fill it… but I didn’t have any luck with it so I went to Home Depot to find some. As I came in, I asked where I could find it. The employee proceeded to tell me I would have to go to their North Bergen store to get anything like that because the Secaucus store doesn’t carry Propane, butane, etc. According to him, that location is way too close to the Lincoln Tunnel to carry anything explosive. That makes sense… I guess? So from what I learned from previous visits to this place, I learned I need to look for myself. Surely enough, I found tons of butane and bernzomatic torches that I could use to fill or replace my torch and dessert for the night was saved!
I remember coming to Home Depot as a kid and the employees actually knew what they were doing and they were very helpful and could give you good advice… I guess those days are long gone now. Sigh… Sadly I continue to go here just because there are no other options… Lowes is pretty much the same thing despite the fact that they advertise otherwise…
