History

Established in 2005.

It all began with a telephone call actually. A passenger called to book a taxi from Newark Airport to a hotel in NYC and we asked, «Why didn’t you fly into LaGuardia? It’s closer.» to which she replied, «Our travel agent told us Newark was closer.» By the end of our conversation, the passenger had rebooked at the correct airport and saved almost $ 50 in cab fare.

While we did not make any money on that fare, we were happy with the outcome. Yes, we could have taken the passenger and it would have been a horrible experience for both her and our driver due to both the cost and time in transit (about 3 to 4 hours during rush hour and construction).

In the end, we both won. Our passenger had a great experience visiting the tri-​state, we received a high «word of mouth» recommendation and new customers. Ironically, we now receive many phone calls from travel agencies for transportation advice for their clients. Who knew?
