It pains to give them only 1 star. But the food and the service was atrocious! It was plenty busy but the servers didnt really care. Had to ask for water 3 times. They brought new food out but went straight to the Chinese groups and despite us calling them over, ignored us. Then the server would bring us the same 3 items that had been sitting there and get pissy when we didnt want it. The table next to us got it worse. They complained to the lady owner and she basically told them that the food will come when it comes. It’s sad as the is basically no dimsum option in this part of NJ.

Very bad service!!! Today we had 2 family went there. we order dumplings. I simply asked for some sauce, the waitress first give me an annoying face, telling me «you don’t need that sauce». I asked again because everytime I order dumplings, I asked for that sauce. I asked again, she told me «wait a second». And she just totally ignored me and never brought the sauce. We were there for about an hour and a half, we haven’t asked for the check yet. The waiter just came and pretending«you asked for the check right»? Then he just gave us the check. 10 minutes later, the same waitress came and almost like yelling” you guys paid right? You have been holding the table for hours!” Gosh, we had 9 people and some are kids, and we were not holding the table for hours! They openly asked us to leave because some people are waiting for the table. How rude these people are! Very bad experience!

I hate only giving a place 2 stars but at the end of the day it’s all about the food. It just doesn’t taste good. Any of it. Plain and simple, get a new chef. Came in for lunch and was sat right away for dim sum service. There is only 1 cart going around, which would be fine, if the woman kept going around but she doesn’t. Very inconsistent. We tried a beef short rib dish, spring rolls, turnip cake, general tso, veggie dumplings, shumai… to name a few. We def tried a variety. We definitely won’t be back.

This is one of the better Chinese places in NNJ we have found. We liked the butterfly shrimp, a whole fish, and an eggdrop soup with ground beef in it. Anxious to try some of the other house specialtiesl

The food was good. We were so sure we were going to come back to this place, until this happened. So this was our first visit to the restaurant. 3 people serves us. One nice lady took our order, a second guy brought us our food and the third OLD guy brought us out check. We gave him a $ 2 tip which he refused to take and told us the tip was 15% of the total bill which was included in the bill. We payed off and left. To our surprise, he came running after us, yelling at the top of his voice«YOUDIDNOTGIVEMETIP» «WRITETHETIP». «ITSTHELAW» we told him politely to write the tip down because we didn’t know how much would 15% be, but he kept yelling in front of all. Now I know i am NEVER going back to this place. They should train their people before allowing them to take guests. HIGHLYDISAPPOINTED!

So I come here often but this time around I’m giving them a 2 due to SERVICE! When you come for dim sum, the food just flows and I most of the time hardly ever wait for food. Well guess it was a bad day for us to walk in here because the service was just that bad. Got your typical shrimp shumai, short ribs and veg/shrimp dumplings… now mind you amongst my husband and I we can demolish those small dishes in like 5−10min. We wanted more food so we waited and waited and waited. We didn’t get food for literally 20 – 25 minutes and that’s bad when you’re there for DIMSUM. My kids were starving and we finally got our food but the waiting game was not making me happy. The food thank goodness was good but that service… ugh…no apologies from the staff as they saw us dwindling our thumbs waiting for them. The place stops serving dim sum at 3p and we got there at 1:30p. I was so upset they ran out of sesame balls but I did have my favorite which is the turnip cakes. If someone pulls my arm to come again I kno I would, but I will be hoping for better service.

Best General Tso’s Chicken in town, crispy, spicy, hot, not mushy, not watery, not chewy… I hate GTC like that! So I like this place a lot! Love how the give you the crispy noodles and duck sauce as soon as you’re seated. Service seems like they speak limited English but they’ve always been extremely polite and NEVER got my order wrong over the years of coming here… My wife enjoys this restaurant as well. Would give 5 stars but the takeout and delivery is much different than eating there, definitely not nearly as good. Also don’t like looking at the fish tank when I’m eating… it kinda grosses me out :) But now I’m just being picky! We are going here for Christmas this year, they are open! Can’t wait for some Christmas General Tso’s! Traditional right? :)

I must say at first I was shocked at the amount I paid for my take out order, until I got home and realized it was worth every penny! We ordered shrimp balls because of a previous Unilocal review and wow! So AMAZING! My chicken tasted like chicken and the prices of shrimp in our dish were a great size and tasted very fresh! Cute little bag that separated tea and fortune cookies! Great attention to detail, and accommodated all of my annoying requests! I rather pay more and know my food is tasty and fresh!

Authentic Cantonese cuisine! You can order off the menu if you speak Cantonese or ask for recommendations. Bartenders/servers were very helpful. Old school classy. Definitely worth checking out. Also get the zombie cocktail. Super delish!

This place is my go-to dim sum spot. Their fried shrimp ball is my favorite thing in the world. Second to that is their shumai. All the other dishes are better than most of what the rest of the area has to offer. Also way cheaper. Service is not that great but honestly I’ve never experienced great dim sum service anywhere so I can’t punish al of them for that. As long as I get my food then I’m happy lol. In its location it’s the best in its area. Really nothing to compete with in terms of food quality.

The Story: Friends wanted dim sum one Sunday morning — they recommended this place… so I was like… wouldn’t hurt, right? It’s average. Food: They had pretty standard dim sum(ie. the basic stuff), not as many variety as you would find at a dim sum spot in Flushing NY or China Town. Their flavors were pretty average as well. What I didn’t like is how the skin on the shrimp gao rips right away. They also didn’t let us choose the tea we wanted. Chicken feet sucks. Price: Prices aren’t bad, we spent about $ 55 for a party of 4. Granted I didn’t eat my full share because well… I didn’t like it. Décor: It was rather tight in there… I felt pushed up against my table. They also only had 2 carts going round for dim sum. Service: Service was meh. I felt ignored honestly. =/ Parking & Finding the Place: they had their own parking lot which is a plus

I’m not Chinese. I love Chinese food and eat lot of it but I don’t know it too well. That said, I used to eat dimsum pretty regularly in Flushing and am deprived in NJ. The dimsum here is definitely poorer in quality than what you find in NC but honestly where else are you going to get your fix this side of Hudson? I think a 3 star is probably about where the quality is but when you need your dimsum this place delivers! You can also go during the weekdays and order a la cart. They’ll freshly steam and bring to your table. It was just as good and it’s an experience being able to enjoy dimsum with the crowd.

Pretty good dim sum on the weekend. The carts do take a longer time to come around when it’s busy too. The shrimp rice crepes are my personal favorite with its sweet soy sauce on top

I’m not sure why this place only has 3 stars. I love this place. I’ve come here a few times now for dim sum. It’s one of the best and only places I’ve eaten true dim sum near north NJ. We tried a wide selection, and all if it was good. They bring us hot sauce. My favorite dishes are shrimp dumplings, pork shumi, sticky rice with Chinese sausage in Lotus leaf, and hot and sour soup. I can tell that I like their food because when I try the hot and sour soup, it’s not like another Chinese restaurant. It’s not overally salty, and they add hot peppers to it. It was delicious. Definitely a regular! Just wished I lived closer.

Great place to get dim sum in the Jersey area on the weekends. Pretty good selection and up to par with Chinatown. I have been here a few times during the week as well. They have a large selection of lunch combo options for a great price(comes with soup and an eggroll). There is a lack of dim sum during the weekdays since it is not in demand. The regular menu items are a little on the expensive side.

Going on the weekend is a must for the dim sum lunch. The dim sum is always warm and fresh. For dessert that have coconut jello which is to die for! I frequent this place often and love the pan fried noodles — when you order to-go they package everything separately so that the noodles don’t get soggy. I definitely recommend this place!!!

Used to be great dim sum bit the quality has gone down over the last few years. Overall the food has been fine. It is the last place to find a sit down Chinese restaurant that isn’t a takeout joint. The service has been good in the past. The dim sum servers can be a bit pushy but nothing I haven’t dealt with in Chinatown. I haven’t had a bad experience with an agressive waiter as some have had. I have no issue going back Have Fun

My family has been coming here for years to a point we’re buddy buddy with the owner. We get pretty decent service for the 15 – 20 heads they have to serve. During weekend lunch or brunch time they do dim sum which isn’t too bad. Overall the food is a bit too greasy and oily but it still tastes pretty good. My favorite entrée dish is the fried flounder. It has a good amount of crunch on the skin and soft and silkiness of flounder meat drenched in soy sauce. Second favorite is the yeung chow fried rice. It’s a classic but serves a hefty portion. The dim sum favorites are the pork shumai, fried shrimp ball and steamed shrimp balls. They are all really oily but I don’t mind it. They used to give ice cream with fortune cookies on top of it but last time I came here they gave out slices of orange instead. The décor could be more updated because its starting to look like its on its last breath. I pretty much come here with my family because I’m not the one paying for it. If it wasn’t for the dim sum and the numerous times I’ve been here with my family I probably would have rated it lower.
