History

Established in 2001.

Newsom Eye was established in Sebring, Florida in 2001, and has since grown to include three satellite offices: Sebring, Avon Park and Tampa; and two surgical centers in Sebring and in Tampa. Through expansion, Newsom Eye has been able to reach more patients without sacrificing the «small practice» feel in regard to patient care.

Business Owner

T. Hunter Newsom, MD is the president and founder of Newsom Eye.

He specializes in Cataract, Glaucoma and LASIK surgery. Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, Dr. Newsom brings a wealth of experience, awards, and research to the practice.

Bachelor of Science with Honors, University of Florida;

Doctor of Medicine with Honors, University of Florida;

Internship, Mayo Clinic;

Residency in Ophthalmology, University of Iowa
