Ok, I posted a very negative review for this place, on the basis that their foaming brushes had been out of commission for about a year and there was never never NEVER any soap in their system at all. In all fairness, they seem to have gotten their act together. I gave them another chance a month or so ago, just because their location is so damn convenient to my house, and to my surprise and delight everything worked fine. Only problem was a leak in the water supply to the brush, which caused the entire experience to be a somewhat moist one for me, but that can happen to anyone, it’s easy to fix, and I would imagine they’ve done so. I’ve tried it a couple of times since then, and everything seems to be working fine. 4 stars instead of 5 because I wish they offered the spot-free finish that other car washes have, but everything they do offer seems to be in good working order at present.

How do I click zero stars? I can’t add anymore than what has already been written about the Tidal Wave Car Wash. I can only hope a tidal wave from Bodega will sweep this eye-sore away and replace it with a car wash that works and an owner who cares about his customers.

First things first. I have never written a review, so take this with a grain of salt. I can’t believe how horrible this place is. By far the worst wash I’ve ever had. The brush had zero soap dispensing, the water/soap cycle had zero foaming substance in it. How the hell is your car supposed to be washed without soap? After a long road trip I detailed the interior, tried washing the cars exterior to get rid of bugs. And like I said earlier. ZEROSOAP?! After the crap attempt and full of frustration, against my better judgement I decided to vacuum. Bad idea. I got to vacuuming the carpet and found out real fast the suction end was leaving black streaks on the carpet? I had to get a wet rag and wipe it to finish the disaster. I’ve been here before and had a similar experience, but this was the last straw. Spend your 10 bucks on a gas station car wash! Less work and better quality.

The wash works OK when it works. The problem is that it often seems to not work. It takes your money, but doesn’t turn on. The coin return doesn’t work. Lately, they removed the stickers that tell you how much time you get for how much money, or what the minimum is to get it to start. The sign says that an attendant is on duty, but they never seem to be around when you need them. I called the number on the sign to get a refund, but they don’t return calls. I had to drive home with soap drying on my car after I lost $ 5 in their machines. It wouldn’t be too hard to use a crowbar to get your money back since the attendant is never around.

Almost surrealist in it’s absurdity-a car wash that makes your car more dirty. I suppose it might be useful to go before parking your car in a bad neighborhood cuz nobody gonna touch it after a «Tidal Wave»!
