Excellent food, I had the falafel wrap. Great options for vegetarians, health nuts, and lumberjacks. They have it all. No complaints about the service.

We eat here often and weather you want a burger & fries or sandwiches or pasta or steak, fish and chips, pork chops, salads or some of their other fantastic foods, you got to try this place. It is awesome and you can even get a prime rib special $ 20 on Friday’s and Saturday’s. Try the clam chowder, it is pretty dang good. This is another place where the owners get to know there customers and the staff are great, very friendly and pleasant. Keep it up guys and girls great food and service…

I just tried this place for the first time with my 2 year old. The waitress was very sweet and immediately brought coloring activities to occupy my daughter. I had the country fried steak. It was good. The potatoes were awesome with the fresh rosemary! Good biscuits! The orange juice was fresh squeezed and the flavor was awesome. It took me longer to decide on what to order than it did for them to get the food out to us. I look forward to trying them for lunch in the near future.

Came here for dinner on a Monday night. I was expecting more a diner atmosphere but was pleasantly surprised by the beautiful décor and attention to detail. There were roses and candles at every table and across the bar(we came the day after Valentine’s Day). We started with truffle fries which were perfect. I had the Citrus Chicken salad which was incredible and huge! My friend had the Cobb which had hearty portions and was also delicious. The service was delightful, we were taken great care of by our server and the manager even stopped by to check in. We’ll definitely be back!

The breakfast here was more tasty than your standard diner fare, and the biscuits were particularly delicious! We had the Country Fried Steak and the Benedict, and both were very enjoyable. The service was remarkably great as well. Our server, Jenna, was surprisingly attentive and gracious, much more so than I could have anticipated for a seemingly casual neighborhood diner. This place may not seem like much at first glance, but it is truly a worthwhile breakfast/lunch spot deserving of a local following. We will definitely return!

Sebastopol is a quaint, small town strewn with charming stores and eclectic eateries. While on our way back from Bodega Bay, we stumbled into Fandee’s. We felt a bit peckish after soaking in the cold ocean air. It is awkwardly located between 2-street corners but it was the unusual name«Fandee’s» that piqued my interest. The exterior looked kind of ho-hum but not dilapidated. On entering, I could see that the interior had been recently remodeled looking all spick and span, new and visually attractive. Comfy booths lined against the wall with a long counter on the opposite wall giving me the first hint that this was a diner albeit a glorified one! An energetic young lady, Jeanette, greeted us with a warm welcoming voice and situated us in the first booth affording us a full view of the restaurant. The time was shortly after 4pm just when dinner hour started. On checking other Unilocal reviews, I could see that Fandee’s was more popular for breakfast and lunch(and of course brunch too) rather than dinner. The menu was very typical ol’ fashioned American fare featuring comforting home-style cooking. They claimed everything was cooked from scratch using organic ingredients with meats and produce locally sourced. Restaurants nowadays are trending toward this direction. The start wasn’t quite as impressive. You could hardly mess up Chicken Wings($ 8). They were deep-fried in heavy batter and generously slathered with a non-descript BBQ sauce. It is not a good idea to use heavy batter especially when serving someone with weak teeth or worse still with dentures. C-R-U-N-C-H! It was like biting into some hard bones. The BBQ sauce lacked smokiness but the taste had a refreshing citrusy flavor. Overall, the taste wasn’t too bad but certainly not the best.(3⁄5) I complimented my meal by paying an additional $ 2 to include the soup of the day, a navy bean with Italian sausage. Nothing too special here but it was at least comforting. The beans were soft without being mushy and the entire flavor came from the sausage(3⁄5). For a change, I made an impulsive choice to have a sandwich for dinner instead of a steak or pasta. Ah, a Cubano($ 12) sounded tempting after not having had one in a loo… ong time! Slow roasted pork shoulder was scrumptious and so was the shaved pit ham. Throwing in some pickles, mayo and Dijon mustard and of course Swiss completed the Cubano. Why is it called«Cubano» I haven’t a clue other than to guess it was popular with the early Cuban immigrants. I have to say the Cubano was meaty. It made me realize that I am not as big a carnivore as I used to! Interestingly, the sandwich came with an vegan potato salad as if to counteract the excess meat. Of course, vegan meant no mayo or eggs. It had bell peppers, cilantro, basil and red potatoes with a dash of salt, pepper and a squeeze of lemon juice. It had a sour potato-y texture and made a difference by toning down the meaty content of Cubano!(4⁄5) My friend was a little more down to earth. His choice was a Chicken Marsala($ 16), very Italiano or shall I say Americanized Italian! It wasn’t too earth shattering but better than mediocre. Two good sized(6 oz maybe per piece) were butterflied and doused in a fine tasting marsala wine sauce with loads of butter and a good sprinkling of sautéed mushrooms. Kudos to the chef for not making it overly sweet, the chicken had a good bite but alas a tad dry as is so common with breast meat.(3⁄5) Will I be back? Sure whenever I am in the area or if I were making a pit stop. Seriously, Fandee’s is one of the better diners serving diner style food with a classy touch. But I can still see how their breakfasts and lunches are bigger crowd pleasers.

This place is great! The food is high quality! The atmosphere is casual, but very nice ambiance! The employees are great, and very friendly! The place is very clean, as well as the restrooms! The problems with this place are; no Wi-Fi, Parking, and space! They’re so popular, tonight is Prime Rib night. They have sold out Clam Chowder soup! My favorite dish is the Pork Chops!

I worked in the restaurant business for many years while getting my degree(over 7 years, because whenever I had enough saved, I’d take off for Europe for a summer of backpacking), and mostly in diners, to the point that I generally avoid eating in them because I got sick of them. Having said that, this place is unlike any other diner I’ve been to. The food is incredible, and whoever is running this place knows their way around the business and around the kitchen. My sweetie and I tried it for the first time about three months ago, and are ADDICTED. If you have breakfast here, order a side of roasted tomatoes with your eggs(it’s not listed as a separate side, but I found it mentioned on one of their other dishes). The only time I’ve tried this before was in Ireland, but Fandee’s makes theirs with olive oil, a wonderful amount of fresh chopped garlic, and great spices — oregano and basil, I think. The potatoes, the eggs, the breads, the great tea they serve(try the pomegranate-raspberry)…mmmm. After I have just the 2-egg breakfast, I cannot eat for the rest of the day because I’m stuffed. My faithful companion has his with the ham, and almost can’t finish it because the slice is so thick. I did say almost couldn’t!!! Also, the service is consistently good. The girls are all fast, attentive, and very friendly. We went there for dinner one night a few weeks ago, and got this hilarious waitress named Savannah. She was so funny we didn’t want to leave. Great staff all around, whenever we go. This place is definitely on our all-time favorite list.

We were driving through wine and redwood country when we stopped in for brekkie. Fandee’s did not disappoint. In fact, one guest remarked that the country potatoes were the best she had ever had. I had the pork chops with sage and rosemary with eggs and potatoes. Chops were tender well cooked and flavorful. Another remarked that the gluten free toast was the best she’d had and another said the breakfast was the best she’d had all year(we had breakfast on December 30)! Bryce our server provided great information and service for all of us including my daughter(these are my daughter’s emojis!). Thanks, Fandees!

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had. The service was disgusting from start to finish. My husband and I stopped in this morning at 10am to be seated. There was a wait, which is fine. It was a busy Saturday. No big deal. We were seated in about 10 minutes and told the waitress would be right with us. 15 minutes later she comes by and asks for drinks and food order. Awesome! We’re on a roll. That’s where it all went downhill. We sat there for an hour and thirty minutes WITHOUT being acknowledged. Apparently their computer system went down, and they were unable to process cc transactions. They begin to tell others coming in that they are cash only. Three more parties get seated and we still aren’t acknowledged. Two of those parties got their food, paid and left before our food ever came. My husband and I overheard the girl helping us tell other people(several tomes) «this is just such a bad day. we are short staffed and just really stressed.» Food still didn’t come. So, husband and I got up to leave. As we were walked out, the waitress ran up behind us and yelled«really guys!?» Lol yea really!!! Almost two hours and hadn’t been served? You bet. An attempt to call the manager was made immediately when we got in the car to discuss what went on. One of the girls answered and we were told«Um, he says he can’t come to the phone right now because the computers are down and so can I take a message?» No… I will never come back. They won’t last there long with service like this.

This is by far, one of the most nicest«Diner Style» restaurants I have ever been to. And it is not just about looks at Fandee’s. Their food is amazing, both in presentation and taste. They have excellent customer service with staff that is out of this world. If you want to enjoy a nice breakfast, lunch, or dinner with your family or friends, this is the place to go. It’s the experience that makes the good times roll.

The service is fantastic and the menu choices are abundant. I wanted to love my meL, I really did. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs, which I thought the description said marinara sauce. Instead, it was a bolonegse with thick cuts of Parmesan cheese. It was just too heavy and gooey.

Not what I extpected… Which it a good thing!!! My wife and I were in Petaluma for the Corn Maze and decided to head over to Sebastopol. Were were hungry and were tired of Asian, Pizza, and Mexican(All which we love). So my wife Unilocaled for resturants and we found Fandee’s. She said it was a diner. Expecting something like Black Bear or Denny’s I was reluctantly agreed to eat there. I had the roast beef and my wife had the Cubano. ITWASAMAZING!!! This was not your average diner food!!! Fandee’s is TOPNOTCH!!! The fries were out of the worlds. We love this place and plan to go back! TIP!!! Fundee’s is an excellent place to eat after or during wine tasting.

Went in Tuesday for lunch. Promptly seated and given water. Then we were completely ignored for 20 minutes. Every table around us received food, bill, drinks, etc., but the staff completely ignored us. Now you might ask why we did not flag someone down — the answer is we SHOULDNOT have to do this in a restaurant. The point of coming is for food AND service. We ate here once before when they first opened, and it was fine. Won’t be back unless the owner wants to explain to me how this could happen, and what he is going to do to fix the problem from happening again.

There’s not much more I can say to praise this establishment that hasn’t already been said. I uploaded several photos from our lovely time at this restaurant. The food was extremely fresh, came quickly and was very fairly priced. We were fortunate to have such a great waitress(who is one of the owners too). Go, visit, and enjoy the homey feeling of this place and support them! PS…If they have Tiramisu(not on the menu) GETIT!!!

A wonderful breakfast spot!!! Not just«diner food». This place is up scale, fresh and the quality is there. Food is packed with flavor!!! A popular place that can be busy. They use Sonoma County fresh eggs. This is a beautifully remodeled restaurant.
