Fairfield Inn & Suites Santa Rosa Sebastopol

Loved this Fairfield Inn at Sebastopol. I stayed here one night with my mom and sister and the clerks at the front desk were super nice and helpful. They even offered us two free items from their mini market. The hotel was clearly full but was really quiet and we managed to get a good nights rest.

This is NOT the best Marriott property I’ve been to. I have stayed at many Marriott properties, Fairfield Inns in particular.
This one was disappointing for the price charged. When I called, the hotel quoted a room at $ 129, and when we got there it was $ 139.
We were told three ways of parking. Regrettably we chose the worst. We parked in the back by the swimming pool, and then discovered our room was FAR from the parking place. My friend and I are senior citizens who would have managed much better if the clerk had told us to pull the car front, use the elevator and turn left. Then we could have moved our car.
The room was clean and up to Marriott standards. But it was NOISY from traffic noise. This hotel is on a main highway with big trucks and motorcycles going by all hours of the night. CAVEAT: If you book this hotel, ask for a room AWAY from the front of the building. I had to use earplugs, and my friend did NOT sleep adequately.
Breakfast, however, was very good.
With the limited number of hotels in Sebastopol, this was adequate, but I would not stay there again unless I were in a room away from the front.

We were quoted a different price than what we were charged. Management was totally indifferent and unwilling to work with us on the issue. Then we called corporate Marriott and I have to say that we were very disappointed at the inefficiency (had to call 4 times and go thru the whole scenario 4 times) and unwillingness of cooperation of this company. Finally after 8 or 9 hours we got a call back with a minimal intention of customer satisfaction of a voucher!!! Unacceptable. The property itself was well kept and clean, but customer service is abominal at management levels

Location: There are limited lodging options in Sebastopol, so the availability of a Marriott property is warmly welcomed. This hotel was easy to locate and within walking distance to Starbucks… as well as, some delicious dining options (many of which offer a discount to hotel guests).
Customer Service: The staff was able to recite the standard Marriott greetings, but the execution failed to project the warmth other properties seem to have down pat. I’m not sure what’s going on-​they just didn’t have that Marriott enthusiasm. I wasn’t given suggestions on where to park or the location of my room or information about the breakfast, pool, or gym. So, I elected not to explore any of these amenities during my visit.
Price: I am always thankful when I can stay at a Marriott property that offers accommodations at the State government rate since the alternative to such an arrangement really isn’t cool.
Wifi: There is a «free» and a $ 4.95/day wifi option. I selected the «free» wifi and it was slow to load and watching streaming video froze frequently to the point I just abandoned the viewing.
Overall, I would return to this location should I be required to for business or elect to visit the area for personal leisure.

We stayed here and found it close to the bounty of the County. This means Armstrong Redwoods is a must see as well as walking distance from The Barlo. Also close by is Bodega Bay. We found this high end kite store and scored a huge Delta to launch into steady off shore breezes and shared wine and cheese picnicking on the bluffs overlooking the mighty Pacific Ocean.

Very nice, clean and cozy. Plenty of parking. Perfect for our one night stay. Staff was attentive.

Nice-​sized room with amenities, such as refrigerator and good Internet service. I found the breakfast good for hotel fare, such as eggs and turkey bacon along with fresh fruit. The hotel is convenient to downtown Sebastopol, although it’s a little far for walking and not congenial for it.

This hotel has really impressed me. When I checked in, I had a lovely conversation with the hotel clerk. The hotel room was really clean, really nice king size bed that feels like memory foam (and I’m picky about beds), a really nice bathroom and shower. Even the desk chair was comfortable when I had to do some work.
I will definitely stay here next time I’m in the area for business.

Really, it’s a decent place… just don’t eat the breakfast. It sucks.
Rooms: good size, plenty of space. Roomy bathroom. Bed was moderately comfortable. Air system is a little loud and right next to the bed. There is a small sitting room when you come in, with a sofa, desk, tv, and mini fridge. Nice if you want to relax and not have to sit on the bed. Bedroom area has a separate tv. There’s no divider between rooms, so you really can only use one tv or the other, or you’d be hearing both. Bathroom was clean and modern. As hotel bathrooms go, it was pretty nice. Panteen shampoo. Mini hair dryer.
Food: ick. Avoid. Incredibly dry overcooked scrambled «eggs» (I don’t think it was real eggs), tough chewy turkey bacon, and do it yourself waffles that lack much flavor and stick to the iron.
Service: fine.
I’d go back if I was in the area because the room was really pretty good.

I was pleasantly surprised. I stayed here pretty much completely because it was 4 blocks from somebody I was visiting and it wasn’t any more expensive than the other options.
They just got a lot of the little things right, likely because it’s been recently remodeled. The room was spacious and clean. The shower head was amazing, which is something I really look for and notice. The shampoo and bathroom amenities were well above average. The bed was super comfy and the room was very quiet.
They even had a perfectly serviceable hot breakfast included.
Really, the only complaint was that the heat was a bit loud during the night.

Exactly what you pay for. Standard, clean, comfortable hotel with complimentary breakfast. Can’t complain for the cost!

I want to start off by saying I have been staying all across the world in different Marriott locations for the past 22 years and have never had such a disappointing stay as this one.
We began to walk in and can smell an outrageous odor of Marijuana, I’m a medical Marijuana patient and the smell was still very over powering for me and I remember during check in asking the front desk… is this a smoking hotel? And they said no but apparently a few people don’t care tonight. I aknowledged him and we laughed about it.
So everything goes about normally all the way through checkout and everything…
A week after checking out I see on my credit card statement that there is a charge for 250 for the fairfeild inn sanoma ca. I began to call and call until finally I get transferred to the manager at that location where he began to tell me that he personally went in the room and saw proof of smoking (which is physically impossible… so I know he is lying or has the facts wrong) he then began to tell me he has picture proof but the maids have it and they will ha e to get it to. him, it’s been two weeks and after calling multiple times on the subject he has still not provided me with a correct corporate phone number or picture proof.
Wouldn’t plan on staying here unless you plan on paying 250 extra for somebody else smoking.
Would give 0 stars to this location if I could due to very por customer service skills. Acultully have not said at a Marriott since and don’t plan on it

DO NOT STAY HERE! They had horrible customer service an charged my credit card $ 80. When I asked the manger about it she told me it wasn’t her issue an to call the bank… The $ 80 never went back on my card. An when I tried speaking with shiva again she started screaming I was so in shock I just left.

The Fairfield Inn in Sebastopol is great. I have stayed there many times for business. What I love is the service & rooms. The staff is very accommodating. I was having an early lunch in the breakfast area & the ladies working there offered me a croissant & even heated me up a piece of sausage to go with my small meal. The rooms have everything, comfy beds, well lit with a nice desk, and everything you would expect from a 4 star establishment. There are nice touches to this hotel. tasteful window treatments, immaculate maid staff, big fireplace in front reception with cozy chairs. The rooms are quiet and sound proof. I could not hear any noise from other rooms. This hotel is modern and has everything you might need for a business trip or a jaunt to the wine country. There are at least 3 organic coffee shops within walking distance as well as numerous restaurants.

A very good hotel clean, nice staff and beutiful location. And the pool is awesome! I’ve been here before and the rooms have a modern open feeling the hotel is nicely made too a great hotel in a great place

A fairly good place to stay. (Pun intended)
Standard moderate facility with one cup coffee maker, small as can be micro, and basic both items.
Clean and in good repair.
Beds are somewhat hard.
No hot water in the sink.
Basic breakfast included.
La Quinta is starting to out pace this chain.

I feel bad for hotels. In the most anthropomorphic way, mind you. Think about it, they have to see guests arriving and leaving every day, nobody there to own anything or to take care of them… except I guess the maids, but that’s beside the point. Even with my strange view of hotels, I do have a propensity to choose winners, but on this occasion, I was gravely mistaken.
My oldest friend was getting married in West county, and had a great deal with Fairfield Inn and Suites, so we booked it. Pictures looked good, front desk staff let us into our room early, and everything up to that point was spotless and clean, and I sighed a self congratulatory sigh on a job well done. Headed to dinner, returned and went to bed. Then it happened.
The bed was so uncomfortable, that my arms and legs were literally falling asleep. No matter how I tried, pillows and all, I couldn’t get comfortable. After a few hours of fighting it, I finally went to the front desk to check other rooms. The attendant gave me two other key cards to see if other beds were better, but they weren’t, AND he wouldn’t refund me that night to go try and find something different. I literally went and slept in my car in the parking lot because I was grouchy, tired, and my whole body hurt.
Once the sun was up and change of command turned over, I spoke with the front desk and firmly requested a refund. He still wouldn’t refund me the terrible night, and made a big deal about refunding me the next night. Regardless of the apparent beauty of this place, I highly discourage you from staying here, go anywhere else. Your body will thank you.

A light and airy feel gives this place a bit of a refreshing quality to another run of the mill chain hotels.
Bright colors liven up both the rooms and the entrance. Clean and modern although a moderate hotel it is up to date and comfortable.
I did not stay the night here, but I was shown an unsold room without any notice and I would stay here if I was in the area again. The bathroom was fairly roomy and the standard double queen room was very clean and big enough for two adults and a child. The rooms also come standard with a mini fridge and microwave, which seems harder and harder to find without an extra fee nowadays. Beds were comfortable.
There is a pool and free breakfast for guests.
The guy at the front desk was not friendly or very helpful when I asked about local points of interest. However, this hotel is situated in a great spot that is very close to downtown which features cute shops and restaurants.
Please be sure to ask for your AAA discount if you have one, it does shave the cost a little.

My experience here was just okay. I wasn’t overly impressed but it did the job of providing a good nights sleep.
Four stars– Room and service. Room was nothing fancy but clean and pleasantly decorated. Staff has been friendly and/​or polite.
Two stars– Breakfast was awful. The food was subpar standards. I recommend going out for breakfast.
There wasn’t a lot of decent choices around. So, I’d probably stay here again. But Its not one of my favorite Marriott hotels.

I guess I’ve gotten so used to staying at bottom dollar dives that I’ve forgotten what a nice hotel is like. We got a room here on very short notice. They put us in the handicapped room, which was fine. The beds were super comfy and the bathroom spacious. One draw back was the shower head was hard to position.
Breakfast was an awesome collection of your usual staples — coffee/​tea, cereal, waffle machine (yes!) and some interesting additions (I’m officially hooked on this greek yogurt stuff).
And the front desk was even kind enough to provide me a toothbrush for free when I forgot mine at home. Oh, and be sure to check in on Unilocal.You’ll get a coupon to their snack/​sundries shop.
