History

Established in 2001.

I first started my business part time while I was working for the Marin Humane Society (MHS). I received referrals from MHS for clients that lived out of the area, or who requested in-home behavior consults and/or training. In 2005 I had surgery on my shoulder and was enjoying not commuting to Novato with the 40 to 90 minute drive each way. After much consideration, I decided not to return to MHS and concentrate on building my own business.

Meet the Business Owner

Joellen B.

Business Owner

Joellen has been successfully training dogs for 40 years. Her interest and need to understand behavior was apparent from an early age, always trying to see things from the dog’s point of view. Her real education began at the age of 12 when her 18 month old Irish Setter exhibited signs of extreme dog aggressive. Using common sense, obedience training, and proper management, her dog lived a happy and full life to the age of 14.

From 2000 — 2005, she worked in the nationally acclaimed Marin Humane Society’s Behavior and Training Department as trainer, instructor (puppies, obedience, agility, therapy dog), behavior consultant, and shelter dog evaluator.

Joellen enjoys working with ALL BREEDS, large and small, without predjudice.

Joellen expands her knowledge by attending workshops and seminars. A member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers since 2003. Joellen enjoys herding, scent work, and agility with her dogs.
