Such a gem! It’s hard to believe that such a sweet and simple market could have all the organic, quality, food and products that I need(for a good price), but it does! I live up the road, and can do practically all of my grocery shopping at Bill’s. In a somewhat smaller area, I am amazed how many awesome products they have. Everyone that works there is kind and friendly. It’s refreshing to walk into a place that is obviously run by a family who cares about health, harmony, and simplicity.

Cool store on the way out to bodega with surprisingly good selection and prices. In addition to dry goods and fresh produce they have a pretty decent selection of snacks and treats too. The guys who run it are super friendly and the atmosphere is just charming. It’s an old fashioned, no frills mom and pop store full of really good stuff.

We just picked up some apples, chocolate covered blueberries, English toffee and honey sticks on our way to the beach and wow… yummmminess! The produce is so fresh and I was ecstatic to check out this spot, I have so many memories from way back when, of stopping here with my family, when I was oh so young… lol. :)) Memmmmmories. :)) The people are so friendly and it feels really good shopping there. If you are on your way to the beach, I highly recommend this gem to stop for snacks or drinks on the way. :)) This is definitely my new favorite place to stop on the way to the coast. :)) They are even reasonably priced! Amazing! :)) I also noticed a coffee shop next door, next time I am definitely checking out the coffee shop too. :)) Local local local! Yes yes yes!!! Heaven!!! Much love and peace to all

This place is deceptive-and in the best possible way. At first glance it just looks like your typical side of the country road fruit and veggie stand. But go inside and there are all kinds of wonderful surprises. Bill’s reminds me of a kind of organic country general store. Tucked away in the corners you’ll find everything from gluten free baking supplies to a nice selection of greeting cards, fruit and veggie seeds and more. Organic meats, local eggs, homemade chocolates… I still haven’t fully inventoried Bill’s, which makes it all the more fun, as almost every time I go I end up finding things there I didn’t know they had. If that all isn’t enough, the people who own/work for this place are helpful and friendly and real. No bad attitudes, no snotty vibes, just straightforward service.

This is such a wonderful little store. David and Anthony are genuinely nice, there’s great local organic/unsprayed fruits and vegetables and flowers, plus some healthy packaged stuff and craveables too, all at a price that’s better than Whole Foods or Pacific Market. Thank you, guys, for all the kale, oranges, potato chips and laughs!

As a local, they are always there for me. I once came there early and sat in my car. I was told to always knock instead of waiting I ask for specialty items and they are always there. I love the local NOSPRAY produce. The prices are GREAT! It reminds of the local places that have disappeared from the bigger towns. Thanks for being there for the community.

Love this place. I live in SF. Every time I’m in Sebastopol Bill’s is a must stop for the organics! Large range of organics at such a reasonable price.

I live about a mile from Bill’s. I love going there for simple shopping. The two brothers who own it are great guys. I appreciate all the local produce and simple fare. Prices are very comparable to the other markets.

Obviously, this is a local market, hence the rave reviews. As a visitor, enjoying a beautiful drive, I wasn’t impressed. Organic is great, because that’s how I prefer to shop. The clerk was pleasant enough, but I guess the locals love this place for the convenience of buying products that are at my local Whole Foods. I searched for something unique, just so I could patronize this small place. I settled on a bag of Italian cookies, but nothing else really grabbed me.

I hate to do this to this charming spot along Bodega Hwy only 3 miles from my home, but I was kinda stuck at the house today and didn’t have many options for lunch as an electrician was soon to arrive. My partner suggested we try their«café» of sorts where BBQ seems to be the selling force on their menu. I was greeted by a kind man that seemed anxious to serve me for the first time. I made the trip with«Mexican» food in mind, quesadillas, particularly. As I read the menu I saw the item I wanted, but on top of the item, its description read, «Roasted Yams… And chiles and onions, etc.» «What in the bastard Thanksgiving f**kery is this,» I thought. I asked the nice gentleman working the«grill» if I could have this item removed from the dish, just the yams. He said it was pre-mixed and the dish would be tortilla and cheese otherwise. I then asked if he liked this odd pairing himself, in which he replied quite confidently, «It wouldn’t be on my menu if I thought otherwise.» So, I decided to go two ways. As the chef serves on one and bare bones with just the cheese(and chicken for an additional $ 3.) I’m the brave one at the dinner table, so I took the bullet to try what the locals had to offer with their creative liberties. Let me say that I can not stand yams. Ever. Not at any time in my life have I even been able to swallow one without waking up a gag reflex… But I really thought maybe someone knew better than me and I really went for it. Let’s wrap this up. My car smells like a Chinese fishmarket on a hot Sunday afternoon. I have no idea how the food managed that special feat. I gave it my best when I got home and managed to eat 1⁄8 of the quesadilla intact. I did my best to remove all of the yams after that, but the lingering spice mixture had already tainted my precious cheese and chicken ensemble to the point of me having to hold my nose throughout the day in order to not«re-live» the Sebastopol Quesadilla Experience. I won’t be going back to the roadside«café». But the market. The market is great. Wonderful produce, interesting cheese selections, the essentials needed without having to drive all the way into Sebastopol. Great nibblies and snacks that truly feel«local». The market gets 4/5, the Café 1/5, but seeing as the default photo on this listing is of the Café, we had to negotiate the 2⁄5. If anyone has a gargle remedy, I’m still in need.

I used to drive out of my way to shop at this charming market. Now I live so close I could walk there; this makes me very happy! Bill’s Farm Basket carries all the staples and more. Fresh, local(mostly organic) fruits and vegetables, eggs from a farm within a couple of miles, bulk local raw honey, fresh breads from village bakery in Sebastopol. I appreciate that the owners pay close attention to supporting the local farmers and have a huge variety of organic foods. Sure, their shelves can look sparse at times, but I don’t mind since they are a small, family run business. It does not look like a «dirty» place to me. In fact, it seems quite well kept. Also, I’ve never seen or smelled anyone smoking pot in the back, but if they were, I wouldn’t be turned off at all. Come on folks, this is SONOMA county! The owners are incredibly sweet too! Every time I enter the market I get a warm and friendly greeting. I LOVE this shop! I suppose if I found a can of soup with an old expiry date, I would have the heart to let the owners now about it. The way I see it, if you shop locally from a small business that buys from local farmers, you’re doing a great thing for the local economy.

This is a true story. I once talked with a business contact in Colorado, and when I told him I lived in Sebastopol he said«I remember being on vacation in Sebastopol, and there was this CUTE little road stand shop, with this great produce and these really nice people…» Bill’s Farm Basket is definitely memorable! I’ve been buying here for over 8 years, and love the freshness and great prices on the produce. If you stop by in winter, ask Jim about the Navel! The owners sample anything and will frankly tell you what they like best. Coffee on the other side of the parking lot is superb, organic, and delivered via pony espresso. Fresh produce very high quality(often organic) and great prices. Packaged product sometimes on the high side.
