I’m doing them a favor with two stars. Let me start with the fact that google map couldn’t find them!!! They need to address that. Then when I called to get an address… I was told it’s easy to get to o. Route 1… Looked for about 20 minutes and finally a nice lady from a neighboring spot told me: ohhhhh I know, everyone comes here asking for it. I was in the mood for tamales… Honestly, worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. Tamales tasted like Taco Bell at best. Not sure what is it with the cheese, but every time something tastes bad, they top it with a lot of cheese… Probably to cover bad taste… Service… Those guys need help… Won’t come back… Regret not going to the Cuban place in Sebastian… Gonna try it tomorrow. Chao hermanos… Work on your service and food

After a day at the beach, we stopped in after reading the reviews on Unilocal!Diego was our server, and he was friendly, attentive and made great recommendations. The food was good and the prices were reasonable. We had fajitas, with beef that was well seasoned and tender, and camarones a la diablo. Even the basics were solid — fresh salsa and real refried beans. If you’re in the area, check out Ay Jalisco. If you value great service, ask for Diego.

this place is absolutely the very best for authentic Mexican food and batch made sangria, portion sizes are great, service has never been sub par in the handful of times we have been there, only wish that they had one here in PA. five stars all day long

Great place for an authentic Mexican meal! Mexican food where I’m from in NY is to die for, so I came here expecting it to be sub par to my New York standard, I was WRONG! The complementary chips and salsa are great, our party of 8 was two families was accommodated to perfectly and we were served very quickly! Since it’s not an option I’ve seen where I’m from I had to go with mango fajitas and they were amazing! Everything I had was great; not perfection but great nonetheless, no complaints, will be back for sure!

Not the best Mexican food I’ve eaten. I ordered beef enchiladas with rice & beans. Rice was very bland. I also ordered a margarita(plain) & received a strawberry one. I reordered the drink and it was very good but waiter never came back so I could get another. Service was mediocre at best. Not something I’d come back for

Just ate lunch at this place. We had finished our main course and were siting drinking our drinks and eating chips and salsa. When the waiter comes over and says CANYOULEAVENOW, I HAVE A BIGGROUPTHATNEEDSSEATED. We said we are still eating. He said he needs the table. Very rude and demanding. We got up and went and complained about him. Nothing was said or done! So forget my earlier review. This place is history.

This is a generous 2! The service is pretty lousy for starters! But the food isn’t really much better, this isn’t Mexican food, this is a pretty crappy attempt at Tex Mex. For someone who grew up a few miles from the Mexican border this place is just lacking!

Great Mexican food for a great price. Warm chips and fresh salsa brought to the table are delicious. Margs, also very good. Jalapeño Poppers are the best I’ve ever had. The Fajitas are amazing — delicious with plenty of fillings to add. You could definitely split this with someone or take half of it home. The portions of pretty much everything are huge and you will leave stuffed. Service is always quick and friendly. Always a must when in VB.

The food here is not that bad! Our entire party enjoyed their dishes(mango fajitas, chicken fajitas, chips/salsa, and cold drinks). Driving up to this place it feels like your typical Mexican restaurant but once you step inside you can tell the owners put in a good effort into decorating. The chairs were hand carved wood with painted images of Mexican cultural icons, I thought it was pretty cool! The reason for three stars was that my favorite Mexican restaurant here in Charleston has some low prices for equally, if not better, food. You are looking at around ~$ 15 per person for some typical dishes. The beer was ice cold but came in a small mug(does that make me sound like a lush?!). Overall a great joint.

1.) This is Tex-mex, not mexican. 2.) this is BAD Tex-Mex I understand that Floridians aren’t all that familiar with Mexican/Tex-Mex food, but really, you should know better than this! As a Texan, I can assure you that this is a poor example of Tex-Mex fare! I don’t know what was up with the salsa. It wasn’t as bad as Pace, and it appeared to be made in-house, but not exactly good, either. The chips would have been good, but they were pre-salted. At least they appeared to be fresh, not from a bag. Most authentic Mexican restaurants do not salt their chips. Tex-Mex restaurants run 50⁄50. I prefer unsalted chips. We ordered shrimp fajitas and a shrimp dinner that came with what were supposed to be grilled veggies,(broccoli, green & yellow squash, mushrooms, onions, carrots). What we actually got were 7 shrimp each. The fajitas had a ton of green peppers and onions. The shrimp dinner did not appear to be grilled in any way. The consistency of the veggies was more like they had been steamed. Both dinners were covered in red sauce — which was not mentioned in the menu. I don’t like red sauce, and I REALLY hated this one. It was remarkably close to marinara thinned with catsup and tomato soup. The rice and beans were unremarkable. The guac was pretty good, but lost in the bed of lettuce it sat in. Thank god for sour cream! It helped kill the taste of the red sauce.(Who puts red sauce on fajitas?) I was sick when we got home. Not food poisoning, but it didn’t agree with me.

We’ve been coming here for years now and I have to say is some of the best Mexican food in the area. We have NEVER had a bad experience here, as the service is always fast and friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Dinner for three is easily under $ 30 and that includes drinks. My family and I will continue to come here for excellent Mexican food. After their recent expansion, there is never a long wait, even when the restaurant is full. Definitely give it a try the next time you’re in the mood for great food at a great price.

Food was very bland not very tasty except for the meat. I prefer the Cuban food down the road and the staff is friendlier and they know the food that they are selling. And for all who think Taco Bell’s food isn’t as good… well at least it’s got flavor. Oh and management there made me feel like they were doing me a favor when they honored my gift certificate… hello management someone paid for it and you pocketed the money. There’s no expiration on the gift certificate so it should be good until it is used whether it be 5 days or 5 years down the road. Shame on you greedy people.

I come this place often when in the area visiting my parents. I cannot think of a single bad experience dining here, regardless of how busy they are or how big a group we are. The management and staff are always accommodating and friendly, and the service is top notch. The food is consistently served quickly and correctly, and is always delicious. Take out orders are no different; the same care is shown in its preparation as is when you dine in. This is overall a great place to grab a good meal!

Only been here once but the service was pretty awful. Friendly but untimely from seating to standing waiting to pay. We had to ask for every single thing from more salsa to refills to the check. Food was fine. Good portions. Just expect slow service.

This restaurant has come full circle since the day it was a Papa Johns Pizza! Recent renovations added more tables and a full bar. Their queso, chips and salsa are even devoured by our almost three-yr-old. All the salads are great, my favorite is the avocado salad. The hubby usually goes for the burritos or enchiladas. Not really sure what the previous reviewers had to eat to say Taco Bell is better, but they are WAY off!
