I have been to Zumba with Ida twice at the Greenwood Boys and Girls Club and it has been a blast. You can zumba as hard as you like or slow down with modifications. My heart rate stays up the entire hour until the cool down at the end. I have seen ladies in their early twenties to late sixties here so anyone can enjoy zumba.

I am new to Zumba — I heard about how good ‘Zumba with Ida’ was from other ladies in Phinneywood area. It’s so easy to get to for me so I didn’t have an excuse not to go and I am so glad I tried it out! All the instructors I have encountered (Ida & Adrian) have been amazing. So fun and full of energy but also in command of the class and watching everyone and giving fantastic cues and instruction. I will be going over the winter to keep myself fit during the holidays and while its nasty outside.

We landed at Ida’s Zumba class when our previous aerobics instructor closed our class. I’d call it a very dynamic aerobics class cleverly disguised as a dance party. I love the peppy music and fairly easy moves compared to some of the aerobics routines we used to do. There is a lot more hip-​shaking and swiveling, and the leaders don’t teach – just demonstrate and let everyone else follow along. They do occasionally coach some laggards like me but no judgment is passed on those who can’t match their high energy level. Classes start and end on time.
As others have mentioned, Ida is very welcoming to everyone and brings a very high energy level to the class – very inspiring. Recently she was injured so she brought in several friends to substitute – a nice variety of approaches.
Also, this is the most multicultural class I’ve attended in Seattle– a big plus!
Just to add some later perspective: after six months of this class my weight has dropped noticeably, with no special effort on my part.

Just because I had free time this morning, I dropped in Ida’s Zumba class in Greenwood. and I LOVED it!!!
She has such a warm personality that makes everyone around her feel at ease. Her class is for all-​level so anyone can jump in and enjoy the class.
Another great thing about her class is other ladies in her class who are also very friendly and they asked me to come back soon.

I’ve been attending Ida’s zumba classes for about 6 months now and find that I tell all my friends (and even strangers) about this amazing class. Ida is a terrific and energetic instructor, and the choreography is challenging and varied. I look forward to it every week.

I have been looking for a long time for an excercise program that would allow me to work out along side my 13 year old daughter. Every place I call says no. That is rediculous! I finally found Ida! Not only did she say yes, she is extremely supportive and encouraging to my daughter every time we go to her classes. It is the first time I have ever seen my duaghter excited about exercising! It is fun, full of a huge range or people. Young to old, every color, size, ethnicity etc. Everyone is welcome. Everyone is happy, and everyone is sweating and having a great time while working out! Idais sweet, genuine and really excited to see everyone in the class. She remembers your name, says hello, givs hugs and hand shakes. She is an amazing person. She encourages people throughout the class, and really makes it a blast. Her music choices are energetic and fun to dance to. I leave there really sweaty, and with a great workout. It is one of the best finds in a class I have ever attended. Extra congrats to Ida for being one of the ONLY places in Seattle supporting children and families with fitness! You go girl! Thank you, sincerely.

Zumba is so much fun it’s like going to a nightclub for dancing without all the negative things associated with it. I only wish I had discovered Zumba years ago! Ida is the most amazing teacher, she can work with all fitness levels ensuring that you are going at your own pace and modifying exercises when necessary. I am so happy to have joined! Highly recommend to everyone!

Zumba is fun no matter where you go. But Zumba with Ida is the greatest. She has this amazing energy that makes you happy, and the best thing about her classes is the welcoming environment. There is a tremendous mix of ages, fitness levels, and skill levels, and everyone feels comfortable and has fun.
Hacer Zumba es divertido donde quiera que vas. Pero Zumba con Ida es lo máximo. Ella tiene una energía increíble que te pone feliz, y lo mejor que tienen sus clases es esa vibra acogedora. I’m almost reluctant to share, because the classes have gotten really full. But, it’s the most fun exercise I have ever done and Ida has the most positive energy and generous spirit that I have been around in years. She’s a great dancer and a very good instructor. After a few classes, you think «hey, I’m actually dancing.» One of my friends said that she would go just for the kisses you get on the way out the door.
