Well I spent my whole lunch break at this store and not by choice. The Line to the dressing room was ridiculously long (at least 10 mins) no since of organization. Then after choosing one shirt I rushed to the check out line which seemed to be short enough. Maybe 3 people in front of me with 2 cashiers but i still spent 20 mins standing in line. the cashiers had no sense of urgency! Now I could has possible looked over both of these thing had one person in the store greeted me, ask if I need help, or even simply apologize for any inconvenience. unfortunately all the employees gave off a I’m to good to speak to you vibe. completely disappointed and wont be shopping here again. Don’t waste your time there is nothing in this store you cant’ find at the Rack or even for ever 21 get much better customer service!

Unhappy staff. ALL of their sales representatives have an attitude like they need no customer. PLUS: the store is nice and collections are alright; but the only reason for me to buy their clothing is the size. MINUS: 1) Terrible selection and extremely loud music which transport your to a dance-​club in cap hill, 2) value-​wise, it may not be the best option (read: too expensive for what you get), 3) and grumpy staff who are stuck in the job they hate doing.

I went to buy a $ 200 leather jacket but the clerk was not really into calling other stores to see if they had my size. So she just gave up… Customer service is a non existent concept here.

This is my first ever Unilocal review and this momentous occasion is simply to share how frustrated I am with the customer service in this zara! If it weren’t for the clothes being cheap yet stylish I wouldn’t even bother!
Clothes wise — they’re pretty good. Id give it 3 to 4 stars. They’re reasonably priced with very nice simple elegant designs — pieces I enjoy having in my wardrobe. The make and material is pretty decent as well. It has been worth the lack of customer service to just keep going back.
With that in mind, it was this rude brunette girl with a silly baby voice that was the tipping point. She’s unhelpful and snotty and I swear as a regular shopper the sight of her makes me cringe. At the cash register the whole time she was helping me she made me feel as though I was so much of an inconvenience to deal with — really?! I’m a paying customer! Try to pretend to at least appreciate our business.
There are one or two generally pleasant ones but the majority of them obviously need training in etiquette and manners. They dont offer help, they look past you and generally do not engage customers. Recently, they have made me dread shopping there. They have ruined the shopping experience for me. So if management even cares to read these reviews, please pull these particular staff aside and retrain them!!! Might as well have an empty store with robots — at least those will be efficient and not rude!
I’ve spent plenty of money in your store and I’m not going back in a while. I hope next time I visit your staff will have improved! Please visit downtown sephora! You could learn a thing or two from customer service there!

Love the finds I’ve gotten here, although many things are just not anywhere near what I would wear and totally expensive. You have to hunt to get what you want, so don’t plan on a quick in and out visit. The 2^nd floor is generally much cheaper for women’s clothes. You can’t be afraid to try things on — the sizes are so varied. I’m typically a small in most Zara items, but I’ve purchased items from XS to L. The dressing room attendants are hit and miss. They never check on you but will sometimes be there to find another size. I love what I’ve gotten here so I manage my expectations.

I went shopping here and it’s my favorite store to shop in Seattle. But, Zara is also expensive but they have good customer service but it’s also a crapshoot if they are attentive or not. For example, I was walking around the ground floor with a bunch of stuff I wanted to try on but I couldn’t hold much more with my gangly arms. I went to ask a sales rep. if I could put the article of clothing in a dressing room. She said no, they already might be full and we reserve those for people who are already in line.
Ummmmm, okay. I kept walking with about 10 items in hand and then she suddenly came after me and said that they could put it on hold at the dressing room until I was ready. Sure! Why not? Zara’s sizes fit me funny. I can sometimes fit into a small top but mostly only medium. Dresses are wonky too. Other than the typical act of finding a needle in a haystack… Zara is okay.

Honestly, I don’t what the deal is with the bad customer service reviews, because I always have great customer service at this zara! Associates really go out of their way to bring the sizes you need to the fitting room, even if the size you want is not there, they will have someone find it from the back! more than I ever get from H&M or forever 21… plus the associates also leave you to shop in peace with out like hounding you like at nordstrom. I love this store, keep it up!

THIS STORE IS THE WORST!!!
I Recently bough $ 300 worth of clothes from this store for my little boys and being a single father of two I am on a limited budged. After brining the clothes home and having my kids try them on I realized that most of them did not fit. After brining the clothes back to exchange I got some 18 year old «manager» telling me that: I could not exchange the clothes for the right size because I removed the tags!
It is absurd that after you give them $ 300 they can’t be more understanding and try to help you t resolve the issue!
After contacting corporate office they were no help at all.
DO NOT SHOP AT THESE STORES, THEY DONT DESERVE YOUR $ & YOUR BUSINESS!!!

Zara reminds me of the grown up version of Forever 21. There are a bunch of racks of random clothes in random sizes scattered all over the store. There is evidently some method to the madness since they try to put them in groups by price.
Aside from that, it’s kind of a free for all. There won’t be a nice way to find a blue S when there are 5 mediums next to you, you might find one in green though. Then later after you’ve checked out and are walking out the door you may find that blue S in the pants rack or by underwear. Point being-​you need to take your time in this store and don’t lose your patience. Often I’ve found a lot of dresses I like and then ordered them online when they didn’t have my size and that ended up being a lot easier because finding sizes and colors is much faster.
This store is huge but most of the stores in this area are. Several floors and 2 for women’s alone. There is a good amount of stuff in here. I actually peeked into kids as well and if I wasn’t in a rush I may have looked around more since I can fit into some kids sizes.
I’m not a native Seattle-​er, so I forgot that stores here charge you a nickel per bag, so I was a bit confused when the salesgirl was asking me if I wanted a bag until she mentioned the charge. Um, how else am I supposed to carry my stuff? Yes, I’ll give you an extra nickel.
I would be way more annoyed with this store if they didn’t have cute clothes at good prices-​and in SMALL SIZES. It’s damn near impossible to find anything that comes in petite or 00 and I know I can find it here (although it may be wedged by shoes or next to a men’s size 34).

I love Zara. I love their clothes. This location, the only one in Washington just lacks the size selection that I’m used to seeing in NYC and Italy. I don’t know why but it is very difficult to find clothes in XS for some reason. I end up a lot of times having to showroom and go home and order it online.
I will say the service here is hit or miss. Sometimes I’m greeted and helped when I need and sometimes I’m ignored and no one is available.
Overall, Zara runs a super agile supply chain where they send only a few units of each item to every store and they are able to create new trends and designed and have it in their stores super quick.
I will say, if you see something at Zara you are on the fence about… buy it as it will likely not be there when you come back. Just saying… be warned…
I will say their return policy is fine but their process in doing so is not becoming of a multinational chain. They have their manager come to check the barcode and serial number to the receipt and make sure the clothing is in good condition before approving. As a customer, you feel the sense you are holding up the line in doing so. Zara if you’re listening, you are part of Inditex, a super successful company, dont make the customer feel awkward for returning.
Also a tip, their clothes run super slim so if you buy any clothes for your boyfriend or husband, make sure you don’t get the slim version of pants unless they have SUPER CHICKEN LEGS, seriously.

I finally went here for the first time. Based on the pictures on their website, I had much more higher hopes. It’s similar to Nordstrom, in the price range. I don’t base my decisions on sales assoc’s since I like to take my time looking without someone constantly asking if I need any help. I found a dress, and the quality of their material seems on par with the price. I’ll take a sale price any day, though! Overall, had a nice experience.

The Color Selection here is A 10!!! Here you can Find 50 Shades of Gray, Black, Purple, Red and more! Most of my clothes are Neutral Colors I Rock A Lotta Black, 50 ShadeZ of Gray, White, and Burberry Beige. But SomeTimeZ I like to Get Excited and Go Exotic with Purple, Red, Some Blues (Tiffany & Co.) and some Prints N Patterns nothing too «BOUGIE» or «GAUDY» Doe Unless I’m Tryin 2 Turn Up and Get RACHETT!!!

I’m giving 3 stars because i love the clothing, but the customer service can use a lot of work. I feel bad for saying this because I work in retail and i sympathize with these people probably having to deal with a lot of loads & demanding /​privileged customers. However, there are basics that should be on a list for everyone to follow. Politely smiling is one. Just acknowledging a customer sometimes helps. Some employees here have such sour faces. I understand (esp if it’s been a bad day) but some of these girls have these faces on ALL THE TIME, and i visit this store at a couple times a month so I’ve seen the regulars.
I remember the first time I got a enthusiastic greeting at the fitting rooms. I was astounded because prior i was met with indifference and annoyance. Some days the store looks like a hot mess, but I can deal with that. It’s mostly the employees who look like they don’t even want to bother with you that I feel should be addressed by someone.
Though I will say there are some employees here who are lovely and do a great job interacting and they have their basic customer service skills down.
Some people just need to go through a run down on how to cover up their stressed /​annoyed demeanor because there are days when it REALLY shows. But I love this store so i’ll be back in a couple of weeks I’m sure.

Zara is a good fast fashion store to buy season outfits at a low cost.
Is quickly becoming my to go store for shirts, shoes and basic wear.
The men section is big and they often have great sales. The only down side is that they don’t really keep big a stock on their Zara limited editions. I’ve learned that they re-​stock every Tuesday and Thursday according to a sales person.
Great selection of suits, shirts and shoes for your everyday wear without breaking your bank account.

Everytime I walk into this store, I only hope to receive somewhat friendly (even if it’s phony) customer service. I’m not even expecting good customer service or interactions with employees on the sales floor; just don’t be outright rude. I’ve lowered all expectations of this store because I LOVE Zara’s clothes and I spend an inordinate amount of money there.
Unfortnately, this Zara location has failed me, yet again. I went into the store to exchange something I bought online for a different size. You’d think an even exchange (same item, different size) would be the easiest type of return/​exchange, but, judging by the look on the cashier’s face and her horribly RUDE attitude (slamming shit around and her obviously annoyed demeanor), it was not. Sure, the level of ease of my request to exchange an online-​purchased item is solely the fault of the company itself and their outdated systems/​processes. However, the employee does not need to take this fact out on a customer.
So, to you Zara employees: 1) Yes, you work at a somewhat high-​end clothing store, but you are NOT Theory or Vince or any of the multitude of even higher-​end options out there. 2) Yes, we understand that you get paid a smidge above minimum wage, but that does NOT give you the right to have a holier-​than-​thou attitude.
To Zara’s management: A person does not need to try very hard to see that bad customer service is a theme across all Zara’s globally, and I’m sure this is a result from bad management at the very top of the company. Even still, NOT an excuse to mistreat and belittle your employees (an attitude that is passed on to customers).
As I mentioned in my original review, I worked in retail for 10+ years and, as it is for most people in the industry, it was a means to an end for me (put myself through college). I totally sympathize with you, but carry that attitude into your career after Retail, and you will fail. Miserably.

I’m not really sure who Zara is trying to appeal to. They certainly don’t provide good options for men. They’re not cheap like H and M and they’re not stylish like J Crew. They’re somewhere in the ugly middle — expensive clothes that are kinda tacky.
They go for a certain shock factor with some of the pieces, using leopard prints and the like. I admire this in principle, but they don’t generally execute with much finesse. Other of the pieces, like the jackets, end up feeling soulless and bland because there’s nothing distinctive about them.
If you’re young and you care about how you look, there are a whole range of other places that offer better style and/​or better value.

This is THE best Zara I have been to in the USA. They don’t have too many locations here in the states and this one is huge.
It’s 2 stories tall and has tons of clothing in it. They have women’s, men’s and even children’s clothes at this location.
They were also having a huge sale when I was there! Even better :)
If you don’t know what zara is… they have very classy and fashion forward clothes. It’s like a more sophisticated but very very similar version of H&M.

Zara’s clothes would overrunneth my closets were I two sizes smaller, had a better complexion and perkier breasts. As it stands, the best clothing accessory I’ve found so far is a brown paper bag over my head. It’s cheap, it’s relatable, and it will never go out of style.
This is the sixth Zara I’ve ever been to, and the second in North America. Its designs are a refreshing change from the usual drab Seattle polka-​dotted-​pinstriped-​sailor-​nautical-​backpacker-​Xbox Microsoft Rules! motif. Zara’s summer collection is a collection of happy flowers, color block patterns geared towards business casual, hip, dance club chic — look at me, I’m young and beautiful and paper bags are for donuts or dog crap, not my head, though I’d look fabulous in a paper bag as well.
The best part about Zara is its affordability, quality and selection. Stylish cotton tops, though thin cotton, were below $ 20. Sharp-​looking lined blazers suitable for work or play, $ 70.00 or less. There are two floors of Zara womanly goodness, and a separate area for men and kids. When I was there at a weekday lunch, there were several sales staff who were pretty hands off, so I was free to browse all the clothes my cursed body will never look good in.
One note — while several of the clothes I’ve purchased at Zara’s held up well, I’ve purchased a pair of dark jeans whose color ran so much I looked like I had hypothermia at the end of the day, as my hands and arms were blue. The color running didn’t stop even after repeated washing. Another was a sweater that tore apart at the armpit, forever preventing me from raising my arms on a crowded bus in 100% humidity and 90-​degree weather. Thankfully, this is where the paper bag comes in handy.

Woah! It took FOREVER for Zara to make its way to the US… and then even longer for it to come to Seattle.
Living in Mexico City as a teenager-​young adult, I spent many years shopping at Zara’s all over the country. When I came back to the US I was super sad to find that Zara at the time only had one store. And it was all the way over in Miami! :sad face:
Then many years ago I spotted Zara’s in other cities and other states (NY, CA). But now we have one in WA and I was so glad to check it out ASAP.
What most shocked me about Zara (having not been in one for at least 10 years) was the prices. They’re so affordable! I expected a lot of items, whether they were blouses or sweaters or jeans, to be above the $ 100 mark. Jeans were about $ 70, lots of tops were $ 50 – 70, and even some jackets were under $ 80! The heavy coats were between about $ 120 – 200. Still reasonable.
Instead of just browsing I ended up trying on a number of items and walking out of the store with a lot of great stuff.
It’s not the largest store I’ve been in but it’s got a great layout and is big enough for a lot of items. It’s still a new store so it’s a big crowded. I found myself waiting to look at some racks because a few other people were there looking ahead of me. Oh well!
The only trouble I had was finding the dressing rooms. There was an area toward the back that appeared to be a dressing room but when I approached there was no signage labeling it as such. I peeked my head in and there were about 4 employees all with their backs to me. I started thinking maybe it was just a back room because I stood there for about 1 minute before anyone actually helped me. But once someone noticed I had been there I was quickly ushered into a changing room.
Everyone was nice, the clothes were awesome, and again … the prices are incredibly reasonable. Much cheaper than other stores nearby: Anthropologie, Allsaints, etc. I’d say they’re between the prices of Gap and Banana Republic, but more stylish!

Finally Zara opens in Westlake! Compared to the other Zara’s I’ve been to (Vancouver & Miami), this location is spacious and organized.
If there is one item I would go nuts for, its their pants. I haven’t seen so many different colors and patterns in just one store. They also have cute shoes but are a little pricey IMO.
Zara has a great return policy (30 days for refund or exchanges). I returned a dress after discovering a snag on the shoulder and I got my money back no questions asked… just as long as you have the receipt and card you paid with.
Like what another reviewer mentioned, the employees are not the most friendly either. The ladies I encountered at the cashier both times were polite but it seems nobody goes out of their way to greet or see if you need assistance.
